Cheers mate! I’m using neuraldsp gojira with my own presets. The standard 2 hardpanned guitars left and right. I’ve got gojira’s sm57 on the left speaker and a third party blended IR on the right. Pretty sure it’s God’s cabs. And they are free. They blew me away. Great IRs. They will not disappoint! 🤘🏼 The bass is a virtual instrument from UJAM called VB Rowdy.
Had to look it up. Never heard of them. Can you say something about it? Are you saying my riff is the same as theirs? Or simply somehow saying that you like my riff?
The drums are from the Joey sturgis toneforge riff contest. I got no power over that being flat and uninspiring. But since you mentioned them in conjunction with the riffs, I’m of the opinion it’s the mix being flat more than the riffs. I say that because most places I’ve shared this on the people are digging the riffs.
@@filterscape Something to be aware of... People are often way too kind (or weak, from my point of view) to be honest about what they're hearing. RUclips is a little different, but most social media sites you'll find people are detrimentally kind. Your technique needs works, and so does your timing. A lot of what was played in the video is constantly out of time. Often, part of what makes 'simpler' riffs great, is the backing layers. Single note melodies or chords, up to you. Currently, there's a LOT of empty space. You have an established starting point. Scrap some of the riffs, beef up the existing ones, strongly consider backing layers, and make the drums more appropriate to the riffs.

@@Моксим-ж8н okay got it. Thanks for getting back to me 🤘🏼
Work on making the riffs more 'interesting'. Currently, they sound very flat and uninspiring.
The drums are also in the same boat.
