$1,450 , it should be able to make a bail of hay disapear. If it can't clean or finish a cycle, then why is so expensive? I guess it's for those who have more money than sense.

Our Samsung dishwasher works fine, but it's not the same model as this one. I will say, though, their appliances are crap. Their tv's are amazing though!

What's funny is that Samsung tries to excuse themselves by saying that the problem occurs under Consumer Reports testing and not under real world use ... all the while ignoring the fact that other competing dishwashers under the same testing conditions did not fail in that way.

I don't think problems are just in the 1500 dollar dishwasher my 650 dollar disher is a hunk of junk, after 1.5 years of light once a week use it started giving a soft touch button code of a stuck button? It was powered down didn't help. it took up space in my kitchen for 3 weeks not being used at all but as a dish rack for clean hand washed dishes. I noticed the light stopped blinking the code ( my wife shut them off thinking leds were going to use too much power?)
My turn to do dishes, I seen the lights off so figured What the hell I'll give it a go, I sat with it the whole time it ran all the cycles then hit to dry, it been so long since I used it I forgot what the lights ment I thought it got stuck on rinse , nope it washed the dishes first time in 4 weeks. I'm thinking the reservoir on the side is full of gunk and the float was stuck in the up potion or something. I'll have to look into that.
A dishwasher should last more than 1.5 years and I should not be cleaning anything to make it do its job. Yes Wished I had an old Kenmore we threw out or a Hotpoint. the old dile dishwashers lasted for ever and got stuff clean.

sebastian primus you can even get one under 200 that does the same thing

    • @Watcher3223
      @Watcher3223 9 лет назад

DJEddieXZ Disagree, in that you can spend $200 for a dishwasher that does the same thing.
That's because many of the ones you can get for $200 won't stop working under the same Consumer Reports operating conditions. That $200 buys you a *better* dishwasher for less than this grossly overpriced Samsung.

Way more reliable than digital controls, plus you can replace the parts yourself if they break.

I've got a Samsung washing machine, and it is useless. Things come out with marks on and I have to rub them under the tap. It has no visible water in and just slumps the clothes round to a minimum. I actually put water into the feeder with a bottle I keep to fill it up, because no water comes through into the machine and it TAKES TWO HOURS! Useless. Give me my old Creda, it washed everything at 60 Centigrade in an hour and it had loads of hot soapy water. I hate this machine. Samsung should stick to hi-fi.

  • @funkervogt47

$1,450 dishwasher? Here’s a better way to spend that money:
    1) Spend $350 on a basic dishwasher.
    2) Put the remaining $1,100 in the bank.
Also, cut off contact with any friends who judge you or make fun of you because you didn’t get the expensive dishwasher. If they act like that, they’re not actually your friends.

Well Samsung isn't a very good company to begin with. And all they're going to do is edit the software. That's not going to clean dishes. It will only overheat the motor causing more problems. And they say a lot of other dishwashers don't have this problem so its not consumer reports problem.

      It's not an abuse, it's a test.
More to the point, other less costly dishwashers have not failed those tests.
If a less expensive dishwasher can reliably do the work as advertised for less money, then it's a superior value.

To tell me I have to clean the filter after each use, or duing the cleaning process..is total garbage.. My whirlpool cleans everything I put into it, and I have never had a problem.. I clean the filter once a year,,period. And never had a service call yet, and I only spent $500.00.. The job for a dishwasher is to clean your dishes, not to have you clean it.Save your money..but an American brand

Here i have a thing for consumer reports. You are supposed to scrub the dishes before they enter the dishwasher for just that reason. I am along with SAMSUNG. they have made outstanding appliances, and i would give them a 5 star rating.Yes the prices are high in a manner of speaking. I would not spend over 600 dollars on a dishwasher. 2500 or less for a refrigerator. 1000 for a stove, and 2000 for a matching washer and dryer.

asians are noit very smart but they work hard and they give durable products, on the other hand, americans and europeans give new high end products that does not last one third of the period of Japanese/Korean makers. you take one specific products and criticize it.. go see your products first, an american car after 10 years will be as old as a 30 year Japanese car
