Laura, this is really important for your kids safety: I know gabby has been taught to lead from the left, but when Kyle was riding, Gabby was leading at the wall, trapped in between Stella and the wall. If Stella were to spook, Gabby could of been crushed! So I recommend leading from the other side next time, or not as close to the wall. Happy Easter!! 🌻
Sensible idea, I always lead from the side that's safest. If there's a spooky thing on my right I'll lead from that side, just in case my pony shies away from it. I don't want to be squashed! Safety is really important around horses and I think awareness of it perhaps grows with experience...

I think the teal would look great on Fin. For the soda stream you fill the bottle with water and then put it in the soda stream thing then push the button for 3 seconds the pull it up to let the air come out and do that 10 times, then poor it into a cup and add the flavouring.

I used to take two of my nephews to ride when they were around Brooklynn’s age, they always had such fun on the pony and playing in the hay barn and on the tractor. They even wanted to ride my 17.3hh horse 😂

Your grandchildren are so cute. I have two nephews who are 6 and almost 8 years old and when ever they come to my house they like to help with the horses by leading them and feeding the horse. They also like to ride the horse. There mom has a horse and they have been riding horses since before they could walk.
My Easter weekend was filled with working at a big horse show in California (never been there before so that was cool!). Showing my new American Saddlebred 3 year old gelding Faraway Storm Cat (aka Stormy) for his first time. Blue 1st place ribbons and chocolates upon chocolates!!! Then the 18 hour drive back!
Is it a Canadian thing for easter to be sort of like Christmas? At easter in the uk we only get a chocolate egg, generally don’t get any presents or money or anything like that

In the U.S. we give presents to very young children who still believe in the Easter bunny, maybe some people keep doing that even when their kids get older. I think its the same in Canada. Our family is Christian so we celebrate it as the day the Lord rose from the grave. (It's the most important holiday for Christians.)

Stella just loves being a pet. She loves making people happy by taking them on little walks instead of schooling and doing dressage or jumping! Some horses just prefer these things, you’ve certainly found Stella’s calling Laura! X

I have 8 horses and have grown up with horses my whole life. I am 14 and I am doing my equine vet assistant in training corse so when I’m 18 I have i full folder of my progress. And I can get the job better. Thank you for being such an amazing, inspirational family thanks

I asked her if she was ready, she said maybe, what are we doing? I said cantering, then proceeded to ask Tad (the horse) to canter. Let’s just say now, she loves cantering! The moral of this little story is, you guys are like “if you don’t want to you don’t have to...” and you’re so nice. I’m like “get ready...we’re doing whatever you said you didn’t want to do...” *please note it was safe and not once did anything seem like it would go wrong*
