This is a beauty but after checking the price on this bad boy, i came to a conclusion that $4,000 could be better spent on something else.
Sand cast bronze shell 5m/3m/5m. sonor did it in the 90's. all brass/bronze hardware/hoops VK drums doing for years. DW dont be pretending you innovating and first with this stuff.
Lol. Whatever you do, DON’T research Duluth Drums. They definitely don’t manufacture every part you would need to build one of these for half the price of the DW. That’s absolutely not where DW is having all these parts made in the first place, and then assembling them in Oxnard so they can say it was made in house.
To the clowns that hate DW so much . Why watch ?
😏 Envy and poverty,@@joelmarquez4629.
@@1dudecrushthis new run was not made by Duluth. They stopped doing shells.
Sounds soo good!! I love all my DW products I have bought
Oh man, The Egg woulda been perfect to bust out on that setup. Dave Elitch would know exactly what that is.
Shiner?
@@andrewromanowski4290 yep, he loves them apparently, i do too
Holy crap, that sounds AMAZING! 4 Grand? Worth every penny to have sound that good!
If you cant tell this is engineered sound. Come on... it sounds like shit
I would think that CNC would produce heavy parts. It would have been better to cast the lugs in my opinion. It would have probably been more expensive.
Looks and sounds great! Would love to hear articulation from the ghost notes. Perhaps different wires?
Does the larger version have a concave shell too?
Yes but good luck finding one on the secondary market for less than $6,000 😅
You can make any snare sound like that with gates and engineering.
If you say so
@@Dan_the_Great_you dont hear the engineering? Its gated man. All mics have specific decibel input tolerances. Every single hit sounds the same. Have subtle reverb and specific fade. No matter how he hits the drum it sounds identical . I was going to be an audio engineer after highschool. It wasnt lucrative and just too easy for me. So i became a luthier. But trust me. Thats not what that drum sounds like at all
Ive also played drums since i was 10. And grew up in music stores and my father set up sound systems and worked as a sound guy off and on too.
bello.💪💪💪💪💪💪
Que som Sensacional ,nunca ouvi nada igual !!! Além de ser belíssima essa DW !!!

I just got my DW True Cast snare. Sounds great! Looks awesome! Very heavy. You could drive a truck over the case! Love it!

How about a cast copper snare ?
Where to buy , please ?
Simply put, it's a true beast
Brass tension rods and lug inserts? Better be careful with those.
Only for $4000
