    The rear tire pivot button is not just to turn right. It locks whichever rear wheel is needed depending on which way your steering wheel is turned. Don't need to be in crawl control to use it either. The biggest thing ALL reviewer never talk about and miss is the high price is because every single component is designed to last 25 years of hard service. That is the reason for the cost, lifespan design!

    • @Pickuptrucktalk
      @Pickuptrucktalk  5 лет назад

      1. Actually you have to use it in Crawl Control. I tried. It failed to work without it. 2. Yeah, I should have said either rear wheel and not just the right. 3. Yes, you are right on reliability.

    Good video, quick and to the point.
    Things I like about the LC:
    1- Body on frame, solid construction
    2- Reliable, design to last 25 yrs
    3- Exclusivity.
    4- Extreme off-road capability out of the box
    5- Plush but firm road manners
    Things I don’t like:
    1- Third row seat
    2- Cool box. I rather get the extra storage and carry a Yeti Hooper Flip 12.
    3- Running boards. They get on the way if go Off-Road.
    4- Entertainment system. Kids go for their mobile devices.
    5- USBs. Need more..
    The 2020 LC Heritage Edition takes care of 4 of my Don’t like items.
    Pricing:
    You can buy a size equivalent $70K SUV (ex. Yukon Denali) every 7.5 years that cannot compare to the LC in quality, reliability and overall capability or buy a $85K LC every 15 years. So, the LC is the less expensive long term proposition.
    Also, the LC will hold its value much better than most equivalent vehicles out there. Expect the value of the Yukon to be about 1/2 three to four years down the road.

    I have heard that the size of the fuel tank is too small, 24 gallons won't take you very far. But I know that there are auxiliary fuel tanks for the Land Cruiser, especially if you think you can live without the spare tire.

    weird how it has 2 aux jacks and only one usb, although you only really need usb to patch into the stereo instead of using bluetooth. for charging, a vehicle like that must have qi (which doesn't charge that well and doesn't work for many phones) and usually toyotas have a 12v charger under the arm rest and there is a 120v plug in the back. didn't see what ports the screens in the back had on them. easy enough to add as many usb's as you want but weird how that is all it comes with.

  • @elliottmanning4116

    It's not that the third row needs to go, Toyota needs to rearrange the seats so they're all flat with the load floor. Also, I've never understood why older Toyota models like this have the ECT power button if the transmission already has a sport mode.

    • @Pickuptrucktalk
      @Pickuptrucktalk  5 лет назад

      That’s a solid point about the ECT. Maybe just a carryover button nobody has thought about replacing.

      Janet Bailey That means nothing. They can use a Jeep for the same purpose. They can even use a G Wagon. Being used in the military is probably one reason why this car is so unsuited for regular use.

      @Righteous Did I say it was a bad SUV? Its one thing to say something dumb in response to verbally spoken words that you may have misunderstood, but my words are written and easily available for you to read multiple times before you attempt to write up a witty response. Never did I say it was a bad SUV, I just question the pricing on it.

      @@that1guy524 Yeah, they do that. It's the LX570. It sells better than the Land Cruiser but they still combine to sell less than 10k units a year. The Ranger Rover has sold at least 12k units since 2013 and the G-Class outsells the Land Cruiser despite costing about $35k more.

      @Righteous blind fanboy. You can get more "bling" and all of Toyota's reliability in the lexus Gx460 for about 30k less. Now remember you're buttmad at me because I dont like the price of a vehicle you like. How thin skinned can you be?

  • @Agent.K.
    @Agent.K. 5 лет назад +2

    The price is high/ doesn’t make sense because you have one option in the US market. Our options start from ~ 40k. So we are not forced to get the 90k trim.
