First season is goated. Second season is decent imo but not if you're not a manga reader and the 3rd and 4th season are pretty bad.

Just read the manga, the show ignores a lot of things even in season 1 and from season 2 onwards it starts to become totally shit, it's literally not canon.
First season, then read the manga. Second season is still good in animation but bad story wise since it's original. Third was decent imo in story but not animation even though most people didn't like it, and fourth is trash in animation and story pace.

Nah Season 2 is pretty dope, especially if you’re not a manga reader. Afterwards… just stick to the manga
@@c3p6 Season 2 is totally original, they literally don't follow shit from the manga and completely destroy Kaneki's character, making him look just like an edgy emo, even on season 1 they skipped a lot of shit, there's multiple extra pages in the manga that explain the concepts like Kagune, Quinque, Rc cells, etc (which they'll probably be confused, because the anime doesn't explain shit).
The Jason vs Kaneki fight also wasnt't supposed to be "hype", the "I'm a ghoul" scene has totally different interpretation in the manga too. Season 2 also doesn't make sense because Kaneki never teamed up with the Aogiri Tree, since they're fucking terrorists.
@@tymo829 that’s why I specifically said “if you’re not a manga reader”. Season 2 is enjoyable until you have every single manga reader criticizing you for being oblivious to the actual canon and trying to gatekeep enjoyment. Yea it’s totally different and worse than the manga but they don’t KNOW that.

But if someone at least told them that the season is not comparable to the manga in quality and that everything there is not what the series is about I would already be happy, since the anime is like a spit on the author's original work, hence my first comment.
If they knew this information beforehand, I wouldn't care about them watching it.
