Yer I picked up on the hat thing lol. It’s a busy app with an awful lot under the hood going to take a while to learn. You could say it does to much really with all the hold options. The harmoniser function is cool.

Thanks for even attempting to give an overview of the app considering how recent it is.
It's standard for a polyphonic step sequencer design to have all notes of a polyphonic step have the same velocity and timing. Just like you, I don't like that but it's definitely better than just having a monophonic step sequencer. I say this as an Elektron machine user.
Drambo technically does allow to alter each note's offset and velocity on a polyphonic step, but I wouldn't want to encourage anyone to get Drambo thinking the implementation of these features is optimized from a workflow standpoint, because that's sadly just not the case.

Thank you for helping me understand that. I had no clue. Maybe someone will break the ones someday. 😂

Yeah I think my video was more of an exploration of something new. One thing is the dev is super cool and will answer any questions. Plus I think as time goes on the app will become more clear and features will be improved.

@@bjamminsincebirth3494 The Dev is clearly awesome but due to the sheer nature of the app's complexity it's highly unlikely it will incorporate the features I'd need for the app to have a compelling appeal (in terms of polish and functionality) for my use case any time soon. I'm thinking of the elektron style parameter locking functionality (aka p-lock) and the inclusion of a song mode in particular. The dev 100% knows the value of such functionalities because he's also an elektron machines user. I was able to find out about that after you mentioned he had tutorial videos out and he was wearing a funky hat lol, which led me to check out his videos and spot his Digitone.
The way I see it, the app got released in its current state because the Dev most likely needed either the income or to take a break to avoid the typical burn out risk that often tends to occur for these kinds of brain melting projects.
While that's completely understandable and I absolutely would never blame him for that decision, the way I see things is that a project like this for one person is extremely difficult to bring to completion without significant compromises unless the dev has a solid 4 years to develop his tool and the means to sponsor himself during that time. That makes developing a world class polyphonic step sequencer on iOS a merciless task as a single developer. To not only reproduce but potentially even surpass industry leading step sequencers is a task that feels almost impossible in terms of the perseverance and dedication it requires of one single person. Maybe the dev is an actual genius (I'm rooting for him) but I chose not to invest in the app because I already have elektron machines, Drambo, Octachron, mKer, GR-16, Helium and Xequence 2. Additionally there's zero guarantee that Prism is ever going to reach a state where it becomes compelling and undeniable. I tried finding a trace of a feature expansion roadmap online for Prism but couldn't find one for now.
