Came to the right place to learn hypotenuse equations! what are the chances that was what I wanted to learn when i clicked on the video...

i never thought it was possible to go so deep handfree with mask.. Congratulations! how do you charge the mouthfill without pinching the nose?

The secret is to charge creating a very low pressure and using the mask resistance.

@@andreazuccari this is an amazing video! I have tried the technique without packing and it works as long as there no negative pressure in the mask. So I was suprised you could equalise the mask up to -121m!!! It is actually the first time I see someone packing and then doing handfree (without noseclip) so I figured out you hold the packed air with the glotis. So glad you shared this video!

@@blueorange48 I am a very little free diver and I should not be allowed to post here among you giants. Anyway recently I have learned to use the air in the mouth on command for equalizing ears OR mask. While charging I keep the soft palate closed, so I don't need to touch the mask. When the ears call I open the tubes but still holding the soft palate closed. When the mask needs air I release a little the soft palate.

    Wow!
I learned something similar but i have to close the soft palat so i dont loose air from the mask. Otherwise the pressure of the cheeks makes me loose air through the mask. I open and close the soft palat from time to time to equalize the mask and when the cheeks are almost empty then i can leave it open for the rest of descent.
I dont really understand how do you do it to avoid the loose of air. Just adjusting your mask really tight? Which mask are you using?
    Thanks a lot!
    Its super cool :D

I'm using a normal Subea mask with the mask strap tight.

if you dive bare eyes ( nose and eyes will be free) and let water get in all empty places in head...from 0 to 1 meter water will exchange with airs in empty places...from 1 meter to 111m all water will stay in empty places in head. this technique can work or not ? İ mean diving without eq can be possible, Andrea?!
(Maybe this way diving to -1000ft will be possible!)

that's call "wet equalization", is possible but not confortable. I belive the depth limit is not the equalization, but Narcosis and DCS.

why is it hard for me to equalize in a vertical position? please help I am very frustrated.. if you equalize the position of the head above it is very easy to equalize..

At 1.05, can you please explain your equation regarding tg a= sin a divided by cos a? And perhaps the volume of the cylinder and what x is?

The formulas and the rest are just a joke, but those mean that beyond the performance there is study and research.
