This rock band was formed in 1969. They were popular for their live performances, sly humorous lyrics & the matching appearances of Billy Gibbons & Dusty Hill, who wore sunglasses, hats & long beards. Sadly Dusty Hill passed away in 2021. Some of their other hits are "La Grange", "Tush", "Gimme All Your Lovin'", "Legs" etc.
I am sure that the guitar work on this (sounds like a neverending solo) through the whole track deserves its place in the Hall of Fame. Its so signature ZZ Top style and at same time - you never get bored and they constantly add something creative and tasteful to keep you wanting for more.
Methinks you are going to have to move to Texas for the long gravel roads if you keep adding these classic highway tunes to your playlist!! Love the Blues base to most of their music, but these days the complexity of Prog and Metal have captured my musical soul! Cheers for the great flashback!
Great reaction! Such a fun song! Love the groove - the whole album is full of this kind of vibe! I'd suggest continuing with the song Legs - which along with this song and Gimme All Your Lovin' form kind of a video trilogy...and a fun one at that!! (Legs is a classic!) Oh yes, the irony that the guitarist (Billy Gibbons) & bassist (Dusty Hill - RIP) both have beards, and the drummer, named Frank Beard, does not! Their catalogue is FULL of infectious grooves - great southern blues rock! Need more ZZ Top!
Enjoy greatly you banter and enthusiasm exploring the music of my youth. Please consider listening to early ZZ Top such as “Just Got Paid” or other great songs already mentioned. First time I listened to Rio Grande Mud album and Tres Hombres I was stunned.
Guys welcome to Texas. Now check out Stevie Ray Vaughn. Anything from Stevie will work. But Texas Flood, Littlewing, and a whole lot more. Stevie was born in Dallas and raised in Austin and is arguably the greatest guitar player that ever lived. ZZ Top is from Houston, Texas
Hello there! Thanks for watching and your comment. We already discovered SRV not that long ago. Here's the link to our reaction to Texas Flood: ruclips.net/video/TVBGsziWTL4/видео.html
It is claimed that guitar legend Jimi Hendrix once said that Billy Gibbons was his favorite guitarist. This song is from ZZ Top's MTV days. Their songs at this time had more of a pop sound to better appeal to the MTV audience. Their earlier work was influenced more by blues.
You really should watch ZZ Top live 1980 in Essen at the Rockpalast. Their first show in Europe and Millions of people were able to watch it live on TV and to listen to it on radio. Check ou "ZZ Top: I Thank You/Waitin' for the Bus/Jesus Just Left Chicago" from that show :-) Or "La Grange"...
I first seen the top on a late night British prog rock show, like they are prog rock!. That sound of the overdriven Gibson set the hook..Gibbons makes it look very easy.obviously not.
"It's blues time ... I'm talkin' 'bout those $15.95 'Come See Me At Midnight' Stockings..." ZZ TOP - Fool For Your Stockings & Nasty Dogs and Funky Kings ruclips.net/video/wT3Kh-GgMbU/видео.html

I'll only see you when you put Pink Floyd for reacts on your channel. Don't like this horrible music. A hug to both of them from a Spaniard from the Canary Islands.

Seeing Billy Gibbons live in about 6 weeks time. His solo stuff is really good too. RIP Dusty.
As others have suggested, "LaGrange" is their signature song with their signature sound.
It's always a fun time with these two. I love positive people!
One of the coolest bands and the beardiest too🤘🤘🤘
A part of my youth. Nice
ZZ Top always with the great videos. Sucks it was blocked. Wife giving you grief about you're clothing and dance moves, lol.
The funny thing is that the two beardy frontmen in this band had a cleanshaved drummer with the name Frank Beard. 😂
You two are fun!! 😁
Great sounds from a 3 piece band..awesome band from Texas..good reaction..you guys make me laugh
The drummer is the one without beard, but his name is Frank Beard.

Heard that tho he seemed to express Tommy Bolin was most talented
