This was a really good animation. Public bathrooms are the absolute worst. Knowing that hundreds of other people come in day in and day out…sitting in the same spot. But the fear of people hearing your bowels releasing fecal and or urinal matter into the toilet is a whole different level.

You realize you have a choice of soiling your clothing, without a change of clothing, nor place to wash up, or saying, "oh f-ck it, I am blowing this public or workplace toilet up". I have this phobia, but that incident made me get over it, under those circumstances. If I know I can make it home, then I will wait....

Ehhh it can come off as needlessly sadistic. I much prefer when the hero suffers the consequences of their own actions and that's represented through the horror.

I never thought I'd like something like this but, the art, the voice acting, the otherworldly body horror. . .it's one of papa meats best.

Just watched Meat's Junji Ito review, and I gotta say, its so awesome to watch that back to back with this, cause he literally does everything in this that he thought the anime should have done. It's black and white, drawings have that Junji Ito level of detail, the more still frames still have some movement to keep the momentum of the scene. Awesome work on every level.
I love the Parodies, but I think it would be awesome to see something like this become a running series, mundane situations in B&W that devolve into Junji Ito style horror.
He needs to do more of this . He could be a great anime artist. This is fantastic ! A weekly horror episode or a mini series..

To take such a subject that any could hardly be seen as scary and with the huge inspirational style of Junji ito and anxiety turned to the extreme. And it is how real and raw it almost feels at times that really makes it work so well. A wonderfully and downright horrifying visual form of experiencing what such people possibly feel. Papameat's writing is astounding and plenty actual series potential just from this and Melvin alone.
Honestly this captures what makes Junji Ito’s work so scary: taking the everyday task and rituals we do and making them horrifying

I saw in a video I can't remember, that people will lie or exaggerate when telling a story, not to make it more impressive, but to properly convey the original feelings of the protagonist to the public.

As someone who can go literally anywhere, and I mean ANYWHERE. Full house (packed restroom), side of the road, filthy gas station, busted locks, gaping stalls, High School, you name it......this brings to me a new understanding for those who can only go at home.

The way she threw her head back was very reminiscent of Jérémie Périn, in my opinion - the DyE Fantasy video, specifically.
In a world where adult animation is dying, Papa Meat delivers some of the most effective animated horror shorts. It’s that fear a lot of people have, the fear of public bathrooms mixed with a level of OCD and anxiety.

I used to have OCD so bad I almost died several times. It began when I laid in bed to sleep, but put pressure on my abdomen... I felt my bladder. I got up to pee several times and eventually after days I had this annoying thought "you don't wanna have to wake up and pee... SO STOP DRINKING!"
I would go 2 days at a time without any liquid. On each 3rd day I'd drink, then stay awake all night.
I even started using catheters, same one repeatedly (my bladder muscles got weak as a result of an autoimmune disease).
Took me dang 14 years to overcome that stupid OCD.

You really nailed the phobia aspect of public pooping. Would have been funny if there was a "poop standoff" included. You know where you end up in the stall next to someone, and neither of you want the other to hear them pooping, so you both just sit there quietly cursing each other hoping the other will either just poop first or just get up and leave... Great work!

Using a friend's or woman's bathroom is a bit different, though. I don't really want them to hear or smell annything, but there's still no fear.

I was laughing at first because I could relate to this issue. I've gotten over it because my workplace usually has clean bathrooms that aren't crowded at certain times. But then I stopped laughing when I saw the horror of those monsters. Good show meat canyon....good show.
I relate to this issue because I can't stand the thought of me touching a public toilet, it disgusts me considering how unhealthy it could be. The thing about restrooms being crowded is the second issue which fortunately I don't mind as much.
