I bought the Gen 5 driver when PXG recently discounted that, and am really pleased with it. Slightly longer and, surprisingly, just as forgiving as the Ping G Series that it replaced. Looking at PXG for other clubs now.
Bought the PXG 0211 driver at the end of August for $220 Canadian shipped. Got the 10.5d version and dialed it down to 9.75d, which opened up the face just a tad. In turn, this lets me more agressively release the club without creating a hook (or a pull if I come in from the outside - which was the case with the Wilson Triton I replaced - which sat closed). Overall, I did not pick up a lot of yards (went from 225 carry to 230 or so), but I improved my dispersal significantly and saved everyone's ears a lot of pain (the Triton was terribly loud and shrill). In all, I am very happy with the driver and don't see myself changing it for the next 10 years or so. Cheers!
James, after watching your video on the PXG 0211 driver, I ordered one and you were right! More distance than my Ping G425 and consistent ball flight to the center of the fairway. Thanks for the honest review and I will be watching all your videos in the future!
I am playing the new pxg 0211 xcor irons and love them. Got fitted for a new driver and ended up with the rogue. Would have gone to pxg for a fitting but over an hour drive away. Just wouldn't get a new driver without being fitted.
$155 here in Canada. I just went online after seeing this and bought left hand 10.5 with the Cypher 40 in reg for my father inlaw. Slower swing speed now. Hopefully its a nice upgrade from his ping G2 and he gets some lost distance back. Thanks for the video!
I paid £250 for this driver early last year. Outperforms my Ping G30 for distance and forgiveness but the sound took a bit of getting used to. I’m 69 so I opted for a 55g Aldila shaft at 10.5*. At £129 this was a steal.
Bought my 0211 driver 10.5deg with HZRDUS Black smoke 6.0 shaft in August for $209. Great driver at incredible price with the shaft I got at no extra charge. Driver is forgiving and feels great... good distance. Hard to beat even at $209. No complaints here. Also PXG's 60 day no questions asked return policy in the US is awesome.
I bought the Gen 4 0811XF Driver 0211 5W and 3W 0811x 22 degree hybrid all for under the retail price of the driver alone. This sale was EPIC. Tempted to go ahead and complete the bag.
I had one in my cart yesterday but hadn't purchased it yet... saw this video and immediately went back and finished the purchase. In the US (at least) they are still available. I got mine with 10.5 degree loft and regular flex Tensei AV Raw Blue 55 shaft. Taxes included $127 US with free shipping. Hard to beat that.
I just bought mine last Friday, and by the time this video released I think they are no longer available. Just checked their website, looks like they have a new 0211 driver now. It’s good that you got it yesterday!
I’m glad you posted this video. The other day I tried to purchase the 0841 XF. I picked the configuration I wanted without any problems. When I went to checkout the site told me some of the components were no longer available. So I went back and configured the 0211 and was able to purchase it. Your video makes me feel better about my choice.
I was fitted by PXG for a driver with that Diamana Limited shaft. The fitter said that shaft plays very weak to flex. I was fit into the 60g X-flex with a 98mph swing speed. I even compared that shaft against a HZRDUS Smoke Yellow 6.0 and even in X, it still felt whippier than the HZRDUS.
went down the PXG rabbit hole this year. mostly due to curiosity & the price. 0341 driver, 0211 proto 5-wood, 0211 7 wood & 0211 irons. switched from r7 taylormade woods & ping g25 irons. all results improved. to be fair, this did pay for my first custom fitting, which helped.
I lucked up and caught the sale before everything was gone. My main reason for looking was to find maybe a hybrid or two. Well, I found one, a 28 degree, for lefties and that was great! If I was left handed I would have picked it up, so I moved on to drivers. I picked out a 2021 0211 10.5 Tensei AV Raw Blue 55- R. The next day I get an email that my sale had been flagged for fraud and that I needed to get in touch with them. I wasn't able to call them the next day (Friday) due to work and I had to call them Monday. I called and was expecting a "we're sorry that we've sold out of those, here's a refund" and was told that quite a few orders had been flagged, that yes mine was one, and that yes, they were indeed out of the drivers. He then quickly followed that up with "I can go ahead and sell you the 2022 model of the 0211 for the same price and I'll wave any shipping fees for the hassle." I quickly agreed and received it this past Monday. I only got to go hit a sleeve of balls in the back, but I was very impressed with thise three drives after not hitting anything in about six months. Going to give it a better test shortly. World class customer service and quality equipment! PXG is definitely a contender for other clubs now.
I’ve got a gem 4 0811xf. Got it for about $300. Bought it new. It’s the hottest driver of the 3 I own and once I tweaked the loft sleeve, it’s very consistent. I’m pxg through the bag
I recently added the Gen 4 0811 XT 7.5* to my bag and absolutely LOVE it. It is easily THE best driver I have used or tried. I have tried all of the recent releases in 2022 except the TSR models and this PXG outperforms them all.
Been in my bag all year. Paid $169. Was fitted when they were $300. Great driver. Aim and swing forgiving distance. Feels great. Have the Evenflow 6.0 50g S shaft. Launch is higher for me playing at 9 degrees. Spin is 2200-2400. Love it.
James, I went for one of these after seeing you and Gaz ordering them on Twitter. Put it in the bag on Saturday and took my Cobra King F6 out. Swung it as normal and have to say, it was definitely more accurate than the Cobra. I've got a sneaky feeling I could get the Cobra further if I really stepped on one, but that's not what I'm looking for in my game. I found it ridiculously easy to find the centre of the face on the PXG, one toe strike, and one a little high when I tried teeing it slightly higher. Probably found 8 fairways out of 13 I hit it on round Willow Valley, which for me is pretty good, none were completely wayward. At £129, it's an absolute bargain. 👊
I’ve had this drive for a while. Got it at £219 with hazdus stiff shaft. Best drive I’ve ever had. I’ve got the 5 and 3 wood in this deal £109 each with hazdus shafts. Can’t wait to get them.
I recently picked up a Gen4 driver and 3-wood when they dropped the price. Replace my Ping G driver and hybrid I’ve had in the bag for YEARS. Very happy with them so far!
IRT your comment on the shaft feeling whippy. Which shaft flex would you then recommend for sub-80mph/sub-200 yard drive senior golfer? R or A flex? TIA
I bought one when they first came out. Was happy with it as it was very forgiving on toe strikes which is my usual miss. I recently compared it head to head on GC Quad with the new Rogue ST. The Rogue gave me 4-5 mph more ball speed, with everything else (launch, spin, club head speed) being basically the same. Maybe mine was a dud, or it somehow wasn’t working for me, but I’ve switched to the Rogue. RUclipsrs don’t seem to have the same problems I had.
I’ve just bought the one @ £209 with a hzrdus shaft can’t wait to receive it What’s your take on the hzrdus shafts Brilliant Channel keep up the great content
My Gen4 0311ST irons (£99 each) arrived a couple of days ago with the 0211 Hybrid (£99)...very impressed. Went and also ordered an 0211 7 Wood (£109), and only today I ordered the 0211 Driver for £129 (I'm a Lefty)....I sense a bit of a theme going on in my bag now. Cheap, yes....but outstanding value.
I've had this exact driver since May and I love it. I have pretty high swing speed and it's very forgiving for when I don't square it up. I paid 299 dollars for mine and even at that price I'd say it's worth it. For 129 pounds it's the steal of all steals!
Their customer service is great. I ordered a fairway wood and hybrid and while in transit they lowered the price again. I called asked if there was something they could do. Got store credit right away for the difference and went ahead and got this driver for under $10.
Basically the same price as a budget driver such as Benross. I have mine with Hzrds Smoke stiff, and goes as well as the other premium drivers. Took a punt and working well.
Just had club fitting with pxg 0211 xcor2 irons 5 to lob wedge plus driver absolutely chuffed with them good distance with irons first time on course managed to hit every fairway with driver 250 -270 yards not biggest hitter but good for me and strait
I've got the 0211 irons great clubs. I disagree with the comments on the grips, I found them pretty poor. They have flat spots on the logos and underneath so when slightly "damp" the clubs slip. I've just changed to a less premium brand for a midsize to try and they actually much better quality. Driver for the price is amazing, tried it last year and solid as you like and stacks up to most.
Definitely wouldn't mind putting in my bag starting to think it's not about the brand but about the score. Have a local custom fitter offering PXG but also sub 70 clubs doing exactly the same as PXG by cutting out the middle man. Keep up the good work many thanks Steven
I had the gen 2 driver and upgraded it to the new gen 5, absolutely amazing driver! Also in August it was only £250. You won’t find a better value for money golf club company.
Purchased the gen 5 for £250. Quality shaft and no difference to my old tsi3 driver. Doesn’t compare to my TSR3 driver which straighter, longer of most non-centred strikes and feels more balanced. But for £250 it’s a fab alternative for those wet winter mat days 😀. I have a 0211 fairway which is fab which again is straighter and harder to play different shapes. I can hit low without any problems. Sits better on the fairway than my TS3 fairway.
I bought the 2021 0211 driver last week for $119 and took it to the range and absolutely loved it. My only complaint is that it’s Ping Tinny when hit. My Mavrik sounds better, but PXG goes straighter.
i bought one of these, and used it for the first time last saturday. 1st shot on the 1st tee at silkstone gc, and the head came off !!! No kidding, you couldnt make it up. Was a good laugh for my playing partners though.
I bought the 0211 last December when it was £205 and thought it amazing value for money then. Got it with the Aldila NV Green 65g stiff shaft and I absolutely love it. Total bargain at £129 if you could get one.
i just picked one up for $120 USD. Looks great out of the box. I love that fact that I didn't spend too much l for a club I hit less than a handful of times a round. Can't wait to smack it!
Have had mine a year now and have switched the shaft to a riptide stiff and played around with different weights. The last 6 months my buddies can't believe how constantly I am in the fairway not as far as them when they do find the fairway. That's the only reason I bought this club was the price
I needed a driver when mine broke and grabbed the $189 0811 and Im actually just going to keep it in my bag. I didn't expect it to replace my sim2 but its a great club.
after watching this last week i got online here in Arizona where PXG is l;located and got it for $119 picking it up this weekend.. oh and i could only get the 10.5 head as well all they had left
Went for a fitting last week. One option the fitter had me try was a PXG. Not sure if it was this one or not. Didn't really get on with it and didn't like the look of the top. Looked a bit "cheap" somehow with the mix of grey and black too. Ended up with G425 lst. Enjoying it so far.
I bought the new gen 5 driver. when I first took it out I was hitting it about 15 to 20 yards further than my cobra driver. that is when I it hit out the center. but something has happened since that outing. I can't hit the damn thing to save my life. interesting that you feel it's more forgiving cause I have found the opposite. now I will say value for money is arguably un matched.
Great video. Had the 0211 this year before it was stolen and loved it. You should try the gen 4 drivers they've just dropped to £220. Still fairly cheap for what was a flagship driver last year 😊
I have one 10.5 deg, reg flex, one inch shorter. Still consistently inconsistent with it😂 when I hit it it goes. Sounds like a ping though for those who care
For that to get into my bag it would only have to be better than what I have already got. Considering what I have is around 25 years old that won't be hard. The only thing is I am so used to using steel shafts I would have to get something with and X shaft.
As us northerners are known for being very shrewd with our pennies the pxg is a no brainer and it won't make any difference being five or ten yds behind the Titleist as you'll both in the rough stuff only the pxg may not have made the distance to the tree trunk bottom
I bought this as well for $115 shipped to my house. Saw some pricing and ordered ANOTHER set of gen3 T irons with MMT graphite shafts just to try. For $500 how can I say no????
Darren dent spoke to pxg and a new model of the pxg 0211 is coming back in to stock soon at a slightly higher price watch pxg we'd site for more details maybe james can do a review on a club you can buy next time not a sold out one
I’m thinking of going for the 2022 0211. I have the new irons and they are so soft feeling and flight farther then my Ping G 425. Are they forgiving good sounding and feel good?
Everybody thinks a wiggly shaft is bad. Long drivers basically use 47 inch senior flex drivers. You need lag in your swing. If you swing a shaft as stiff as rebar, the ball will not nearly go as far as one with some flex
I brought my new PXG 5 wood last week and arrived yesterday. I have to say I was expecting something cheap for £109 and was very surprised with how it look! I agree with the grip, it didn’t feel they took time nor pride in placing in with the line up, I’d that because they’re expecting people to adjust it, who knows.
I had my self PXG 0211 driver fitted with riptide evenflow regular shaft. This driver work very well. Really love it. It changed my game a lot
I bought the Gen 5 driver when PXG recently discounted that, and am really pleased with it. Slightly longer and, surprisingly, just as forgiving as the Ping G Series that it replaced. Looking at PXG for other clubs now.

I bought the pxg 0811 xf just before lockdown. I love it. Great sound and feel plus it goes just as far as other drivers. It was an absolute bargain
I have a 5,7 wood in the 60g Diamana regular flex and the 19 degree hybrid in the regular flex MMT shaft and love them all. 0211s all of them.
$155 here in Canada. I just went online after seeing this and bought left hand 10.5 with the Cypher 40 in reg for my father inlaw. Slower swing speed now. Hopefully its a nice upgrade from his ping G2 and he gets some lost distance back. Thanks for the video!

I also bought one... just got it yesterday, taking out for a test drive this afternoon. Crazy deal ($178 CAD delivered to Canada)
Best driver I've used. Just upgraded to 0311 gen 5. Another great drivet
Changed to PXG irons this season, best clubs I've ever had. Still using Titleist driver and 3 wood.
Which irons did you get? Thinking of getting some myself.
@@johnanderson1761 original 0211. 2nd Swing fitted me.
I have the 2020 0211 9 degree driver...very nice. I also have the 0211 5 wood...love the 5 wood.
I put the PXG 0211 my bag with the tensei white 65x shaft, it works for me, more consistent than my sldr, but lose about 15 yards
I have the PXG 0811X gen 2 and I love it.
I bought the Gen 4 0811XF Driver
0211 5W and 3W
0811x 22 degree hybrid
all for under the retail price of the driver alone. This sale was EPIC. Tempted to go ahead and complete the bag.
I had one in my cart yesterday but hadn't purchased it yet... saw this video and immediately went back and finished the purchase. In the US (at least) they are still available. I just bought mine last Friday, and by the time this video released I think they are no longer available. Just checked their website, looks like they have a new 0211 driver now. It’s good that you got it yesterday!
Bought the same setup
Gotta love a great clearance sale. Bought one myself a of couple days ago. New ones launched yesterday, still great prices.
Had mine over 18 months as an experiment went with the 40g shaft .. its a fairway finder all the time
I’m glad you posted this video. The other day I tried to purchase the 0841 XF. I picked the configuration I wanted without any problems. When I went to checkout the site told me some of the components were no longer available. So I went back and configured the 0211 and was able to purchase it. Your video makes me feel better about my choice.
I just received the 0341X Gen4 RH 7 Wood. Went to the range today and was very impressed with forgiveness looks and performance for 129 bucks.
I play the 2021 PXG 0211 driver, 3W and 5W. Absolutely love these clubs. Very forgiving and sound awesome.
I bought the Gen 5 earlier this year when they had a huge sale on them and consistently out drove my Stealth by 10+ yards.

Quite happy with my Cleveland Launcher, but this PXG would be hard to turn down at this price!!
I bought one when they first came out. Was happy with it as it was very forgiving on toe strikes which is my usual miss.

I’ve just bought the one @ £209 with a hzrdus shaft can’t wait to receive it
What’s your take on the hzrdus shafts
Brilliant Channel keep up the great content
I bought a 12* for my wife and had it shortened to 44”, which is the length she likes. Lovely for the price. She is thrilled with it. ⛳️
I recently put the "cheap" PXG 0811 Proto in the bag, with the RDX shaft. Love it!
I've had this exact driver since May and I love it. I have pretty high swing speed and it's very forgiving for when I don't square it up. I paid 299 dollars for mine and even at that price I'd say it's worth it. For 129 pounds it's the steal of all steals!
I did it. US$ 130 in my specs with a Winn dri-tec midsize grip.
Their customer service is great. I ordered a fairway wood and hybrid and while in transit they lowered the price again. I called asked if there was something they could do. Got store credit right away for the difference and went ahead and got this driver for under $10.

I got the Gen 4 0811X and couldn't be happier with it. Sounds amazing, not extremely forgiving but definitely longer than my old Cobra.
Definitely wouldn't mind putting in my bag starting to think it's not about the brand but about the score. Have a local custom fitter offering PXG but also sub 70 clubs doing exactly the same as PXG by cutting out the middle man. Keep up the good work many thanks Steven
Fantastic video. Thanks for all your hard work bringing us great content. I'm gonna give this a shot after watching you guys hammer it. Very exciting!
I have a 0211 fairway which is fab which again is straighter and harder to play different shapes. i bought one of these, and used it for the first time last saturday. 1st shot on the 1st tee at silkstone gc, and the head came off !!!
No kidding, you couldnt make it up. Was a good laugh for my playing partners though.
Hahahhaa 😂🤦🏼♂️
Bought one here in the us for $119 too Love it! Got it at + 1/2 inch and medium grip
This is an interesting comparison, being the tsr is pretty much a fairway finder.
I bought the 0211 last December when it was £205 and thought it amazing value for money then. Got it with the Aldila NV Green 65g stiff shaft and I absolutely love it. Total bargain at £129 if you could get one.
Enjoyable videoJames,I bought the same driver last year but it hasn't removed my 2017M2 driver from bag. Will have to try it again
i just picked one up for $120 USD. Looks great out of the box. I love that fact that I didn't spend too much l for a club I hit less than a handful of times a round. Can't wait to smack it!
Thanks for this video! I got fitted and bought one today!!! Love it!!!

I picked one up for $119 on Amazon, I was skeptical, but figured hey I can return it. It’s due to come in next week.
I needed a driver when mine broke and grabbed the $189 0811 and Im actually just going to keep it in my bag. I didn't expect it to replace my sim2 but its a great club.
Presumably, for a slower swinger (say 90mph)the difference is one or two yards-- and the 0211 has a reputation for being really forgiving.
after watching this last week i got online here in Arizona where PXG is l;located and got it for $119 picking it up this weekend.. oh and i could only get the 10.5 head as well all they had left
Just bought the 10.5 degree and the 7W for less that 240 USD including tax. Playing in the next hour and a half. GET IT!
gr3at to see the double act back
I bought one a couple months ago, a little higher price but well worth it. Bought gen 3 irons at 99 a club great deal
gen 3 irons are calling out to me too. Not sure if I should pull the trigger w/o hitting them or trying any of their other clubs
I have an 0811x driver and saw the end of line deals so bought a Fairway for £109 and a hybrid at £99 great clubs !
Purchased last week. I'm a terrible driver of the ball. But for that price I can hack away. I have the irons too.🙏✌️
Bought my 0211 for £225 about 8 weeks ago, thought it was a bargain then. Very forgiving and goes a long way
Great video. Had the 0211 this year before it was stolen and loved it. You should try the gen 4 drivers they've just dropped to £220. Still fairly cheap for what was a flagship driver last year 😊
This is the driver I use. I like it a lot, but if I had one complaint it's that the sound it makes is a bit harsh.
Waiting for mine to arrive tomorrow. Cannot wait to hit it.
Always a bit sceptical about the Pxg discounting that's going on but your video has me considering them now👍
Great video James, as usual. If this club doesn't make it into your bag, I would be be willing to put it in mine! 😎
I have one 10.5 deg, reg flex, one inch shorter. Still consistently inconsistent with it😂 when I hit it it goes. Sounds like a ping though for those who care
‘How are you Chris?’
Chris: ‘very average, yourself?’😂
For that to get into my bag it would only have to be better than what I have already got.
Considering what I have is around 25 years old that won't be hard.
The only thing is I am so used to using steel shafts I would have to get something with and X shaft.
As us northerners are known for being very shrewd with our pennies the pxg is a no brainer and it won't make any difference being five or ten yds behind the Titleist as you'll both in the rough stuff only the pxg may not have made the distance to the tree trunk bottom
absolutely great video! Thanks James!
Not sure if it makes a difference but that shaft in the pxg is a tapered shaft
I got one 9 degree when I saw the price only used it on the range but could feel the forgiveness which is useful for me
I bought this as well for $115 shipped to my house. Saw some pricing and ordered ANOTHER set of gen3 T irons with MMT graphite shafts just to try. For $500 how can I say no????
Really enjoyed the video!
I was going to get these exact specs for my birthday but it sold out so quick 😢
That is an unbelievable price and very well tested
Got the whole set. Both the 0211 and the 0811 drivers. What do you want to know. Great clubs for a great price. hav
It's now been changed and is $219 American. Thank God I ordered mine last week!
That is a great Starter Driver at $129.00. Looks good and you can customize it some to fit you play style
Starter driver???.. its only 4 yards down on carry compared to the TSR.. its a premium driver at a ridiculous low price thats all
Darren dent spoke to pxg and a new model of the pxg 0211 is coming back in to stock soon at a slightly higher price watch pxg we'd site for more details maybe james can do a review on a club you can buy next time not a sold out one
I’m thinking of going for the 2022 0211. I have the new irons and they are so soft feeling and flight farther then my Ping G 425. Are they forgiving good sounding and feel good?
I checked it out $285 🇨🇦 same as the RBZ black I bought when James reviewed it.
The 0211 is $155 + tax in Canada, worth every penny even if you don't like it sell the shaft/ head seperate
Everybody thinks a wiggly shaft is bad. Long drivers basically use 47 inch senior flex drivers. You need lag in your swing. If you swing a shaft as stiff as rebar, the ball will not nearly go as far as one with some flex
There is a new o211 driver that just came out
Thoughts on the Gen 4 0811 Driver? Now selling for just £209!!
Well done James 👏
I brought my new PXG 5 wood last week and arrived yesterday. I have to say I was expecting something cheap for £109 and was very surprised with how it look!
I agree with the grip, it didn’t feel they took time nor pride in placing in with the line up, I’d that because they’re expecting people to adjust it, who knows.
Absolute no brainer for any club golfer no wonder they sold out I bout the hybrid for 99 English pounds BARGAIN
