It's a shame no Dragon Ball game after this was made with the same gameplay mechanics.
Because in terms of gameplay, this is the best Dragon Ball game ever.
Raging Blast 2 had the same gameplay mechanics.

@@oroboros2432 I remember how hyped I was when raging blast was about to come out, only to be dissapointed..rb2 was better, but I still liked bt3 more. I find it very interesting how many ppl including me think bt3 is the best db game. It can't be a coincidence.

There's no remaster yet but there are PS3 and X360 versions of this one which you can consider.

@Elie Klayme brought it on eBay for $79.99. might sound like a lot but it's nothing compared to the other outrageous prices they're trying to sell it for($149.00 $400,$299.00,etc) I recommend buying the ones that's definitely not in the hundreds 💀,and I got it for PlayStation

I remember playing this with my older brother everyday, this was the only game we enjoyed playing a whole lot. Though.. he constantly won, I only ever won by pure luck. I would always try to pick the strongest/coolest characters, while he would pick the weakest/worst one, and he would STILL win. 😂

played the hell out of 2 and wanted 3 for the longest time and am still looking. i would play 2 by myself for hours and have so much fun and not get bored would do team vs of the strongest players vs the weakest. They need to give this game a chance on this gen
Man, I wish DBFZ's roster of characters would even be a third of this. Those were the days, you would just have characters in a game, like, Trunks with long hair and Trunks with short hair, that sounds like DLC content, but nowadays, you have to pay to get base form Goku.

This is the absolute peak of Dragon ball games gameplay. Things just got more and more disappointing after this. But we have the ps5 now hopefully the devs will get their heads out of their ass and remake this gem

I remember playing this so much with friends back in the day. I didn’t even watch or particularly like Dragon Ball but the games on PS2 were really good. The old Naruto games as well.

If this came out today all this roster would packs and packs of dlc that cost real money lol DBZ FighterZ is a great 2D fighting game but to get that true DBZ feeling u need a 3D fighter...maybe a Tenkaichi 4 some day? Just don't expect a roster this huge becuz fighting games don't do that anymore{there are exceptions but not by much} and extra characters are paid dlc now. The better option would be a remaster of this in 4K since that would keep the roster but they never give us what we want.
good morning, the real dbz games do not contain DLC, the characters as well as the scenarios are unlocked by sweating.
Man I wish this game worked for me on the ps2 for somereason I couldn't move my character except for going up and down as well as I couldn't swap characters in the campaign the r3 button wouldn't work

Closest was the Budokai HD Collection of Budokai 1&3 for PS3 unfortunately. I am thinking of testing a rom today with gamesoftware that makes old roms HD today.
