The game gives you an achievement for entirely unnessecarily playing basket ball... 10/10 immediately
I'm surprised it counts blood, trash, and furniture as bonus score. I would've considered that the bare minimum. Surely starting with a perfect score, then reducing it with time taken and breaking items would make more sense. Given that scoring system, could you just take the bodies and evidence, then call it a day?

I feel like the game not in some way punishing you for robbing the place, thus making it somewhat suspicious, should be adjusted. Also, I get the feeling the death of his wife is gonna be linked to his boss, or the impending death of his daughter, and the final level will be cleaning up a crime scene of your own making
Actually, I feel like robbing them aids the intent of the guy who hires you. Now it looks like the intention was robbery and not revenge murder, which throws the police off the trail of the 'husband was having affair with wife of known mobster' thing.
I do kind of question the logic of using a pressure washer and squeegee to clean up blood. There's still going to be remnants of blood everywhere, too small for the human eye to see. You'd need bleach to destroy the DNA evidence. When the cops come to investigate in a few days after the kids don't show up for school/parents don't show up for work they're gonna bring cadaver dogs, and they're going to hit on everything and then they'll break out the CSI shit. It would be pretty obvious just by circumstantial evidence what happened, and then mob guy will have to do his routine of threatening/paying people off to keep himself out of prison anyway.
actuall since they go missing but their no obvious murder id say robbingthe place gives a false lead "oh the place was broken into while the castles were gone"
If anyone wants to test out whether or not they'd like this game before buying it, they're welcome to come and clean my house. It's a right shit hole!

I saw this game on Steam yesterday and thought Jon might be interested. I love the option to highlight multiple objects to pick them all up at once.

Jon finds the room of a small child, probably under 10 years old, he assumes it's his daughter's room
Jon says that maybe the picture with the candle is of the daughter

13:59 OK, so the footprint I could see the whole time Jon was asking "where is there more blood, there is no more blood" is still there after the game has given up and just agrees with Jon.
Oh Jon... This was entertaining. :P You can stack trash bags into each other (up to 3 of them into one), which makes hauling it to the truck quicker. There's also detergent you can put into the mop bucket to make them clean a bigger area and absorb more blood. Also, you found a bit of the loot but there is so much more hidden around the map.
Hey Jon, with your liking of games where you clean, have to study environmental clues for story (or whatever else), and "love" of horror, did you ever try viscera cleanup detail (I know you did the Santa's rampage mission years ago, but I mean the main game)?
I am horrified by the indoor power washing. Is that actually a thing?
That's basically what a carpet cleaner is, only it picks up after itself. Also you got steam cleaners, in a way they are power washers.
As for just straight-up "pressure washer indoors", does cleaning the floor in the garage count? lol

It's a crime that Jon has never played Star Control 2, and I very humbly request that he clean it up as quickly as possible. It is, after all, his favorite game. (he just doesn't know it yet)

Not going to lie, when I saw the title and that jon was doing it I really hoped it would be more like the Greg Davies series "The Cleaner". Love that show. This is good too, however.

Still waiting someon to create a game where you alternative between hiding a crime and crime scene investigator. Each time you got different set of tools. You might scrub all the visible blood away, but crime scene tech guy has that chemical that makes blood protein glow under light ect. Cat & mouse hunt, either with yourself or other people, giving you random players cleaned-up scene to find any evidence left behind.
So this game has more realistic power washing than PowerWash Simulator? :) This is awesome, i am very excited for full release

To be fair, cleaning up blood, especially other people's, is a mucky job that takes a good many buckets of water and just when you think you've got it all, suddenly you haven't.
Well, there are legit crime scene cleaners. Someone has to do the clean up and its not the police.
They give you a power washer, but then you manage to lose it.

This really just seems like a worse version of Viscera Cleanup Detail, a game from a decade ago. I can't stand the way the protagonist here is constantly making meaningless quips and saying things he already knows for the sole sake of exposition. "Elena is still in the hospital" WHY WOULD HE SAY THAT OUT LOUD TO NO ONE
