My word, I will reiterate what’s already been said so many times before: it doesn’t matter WHAT you are doing, you are an absolute delight to watch!!!! We adore you!!
This is a bit random- but I love how Emmy wears the same clothes in videos; it's very refreshing to see someone who posts consistently having a limited closet just like everyone else. Plus, I like this shirt a lot!
Actually, I made a couple by accident! I scrunched up 3 kinda large balls of aluminum foil because I didn’t have any dryer balls. A couple of runs through the dryer and they are much smaller, round, hard, and shiny baubles!
I did the same. I have a very shiny, but somewhat lopsided, hard aluminum ball. Just from keeping it in my dryer. I also used a pair of wool socks, rolled up in a ball, for a wool dryer ball.
if life hands you lemons, make super pretty easy home crafty projects! your kind and engaging vibe shine through, thank you! happy to hear you are feeling better, hope you and fam will be right as rain soon
I'm absolutely ecstatic that your senses are coming back Emmy! I'd watch your videos whether or not they're about food, but I know how much you love to eat and how gifted you are at communicating what things taste like, so what a blessing for yourself and for us that your taste is coming back. Meanwhile my crow brain is very satisfied by shiny ball content.
i clicked this to watch foil turned into a ball but now I’m crying over the stuff Emmy said about patience, imperfections, not thinking about how long it takes to finish something etc.
Years ago, my grandparents bought a couple old heavily oxidized aluminum measuring cups and pots at a yard sale....they spent winter messing with them, but they were mirror bright when they were done. Looked better than new...as you said, a lot of patience and love went into that...
There's a tool that jewelers, leather & ceramic workers use called a burnisher. It is used to polish metal, leather & ceramics. It is made from a variety of materials such as bone, wood, agate, etc. A commercially available burnisher is made of agate. You can find them at jewelery supply shops & websites.
I love how you're taking it all in stride. I love how you're finding the metaphors. Mostly, I'm glad your sense of taste and smell are returning. Keep doing what you're doing! 😊
You know you are the best at what you do when you run out of tools and then you craft new ones. I wish you the best Emmy! Hope you regain all your taste/smell!
Glad you are doing better! My whole family had the flu during the holidays and I know the feeling of getting back to normalization and how much better you feel when sickness passes!! This was such a cool thing to see. I love the aluminum foil ball idea.
This video and your words are honestly so poetic and wise! i find myself wanting to apply what you said to other projects i’ve abandoned, like learning to draw anatomy! Emmy, you’re a gem
You always have such quirky content! I came for gadget and gizmo use and identification and found so much more. You are always so fun to watch whatever you're doing.
Dear Emmy. I made a similar ball a few years ago when trying to make dryer balls. I scrunched leftover foil into a ball shape and left it in my dryer each time. Sometimes they didn’t do well at all but I have a few balls that are just beautiful. I suppose it is the same principal. The tossing in the clothes dryer imitated the hammer tapping. But is much easier and was fun to find them xxx
Well Van Gogh had his blue period and his time with sunflowers, looks like Emmy is just showing everyone she always has more tricks up her sleeves. Always love the content cause you are always a sweet delight. Remember to care of yourself ❤️
This is kinda uncanny. A few days ago, I started polishing some stuff around my house and thought it was very therapeutic, I can spend hours just polishing stuff, making them shine is so satisfying... I thought I was a bit weird for developing that feeling, as it became almost addictive. And now you post that video... I NEED to start making my little ball as soon as possible lol thanks.
If you really are capable of filling a bowl of these just for decorating, you then have a huge amount of potential being absolutely wasted. 1: One ball at your desk or beside your bed is fine. 2: Just buy marbles and pebbles to decorate if you really feel like doing so. It does require an eye for decoration but it will look even better. 3: Maybe you should learn an instrument instead.
@@nodezsh Thank you for that unnecessarily condescending comment. People can do whatever they want with their time, and something that doesn't require much brain power, but keeps your hands occupied, might be good for people with anxiety or other issues.

you could do videos like practicing cake art and piping techniques and just making really creative, pretty looking cakes or something?? and your family could taste test for you! 💗
The little Emmy that could! I love your videos . I’ve been watching since your ration days 😁😁 you are so warm and amazing. I can see how you’ve lasted so long. Best wishes 😊😊
Sending you and your family well wishes from Philly. My husband and I just recovered from our first bout with COVID this week. Luckily we still had our full range of taste and smell but we had to gain back what little energy we lost as well as our appetite. Sending you all positive vibes and bountiful energy!!!

So refreshing to see a sunshiny host making a wonderful project that you don’t need to buy $200 worth or craft supplies to do. Thank you ! Definitely gonna try. New sub 😮
Emmy, before your taste comes back, you must try pumpkin puree. I'm not kidding, it's one of the best things you'll ever taste and it'll only be possible right now.
@@_arman_ no, it's absolutely boring and unappetizing normally, but with the covid variant that saps taste, it somehow makes pumpkin puree amazing. It's one of the few things that actually has a taste at all and I'm going to spread this awareness, because it's the only time a person will ever get to taste this. It's also one of the few silver linings to covid.
emmy's looking a lot happier in this video compared to the last few, where i'm sure her experience with sensory loss was frustrating her. i'm so glad to see her doing better
Food is science, if you do more stuff like that I’d watch regardless. Crafts, scientific experiments - I’d love to see that from you Emmy!!!! You can do anything!!!!! 🎉
I'm curious if things will taste the same and smell the same for you. After my Covid bout, I couldnt smell/taste anything and once it came back, certain things were disgusting. For instance, I can no longer drink dark soda, it tastest like mold. I can't eat peanut butter, gross! All soap has a weird scent now and deodorant as well. It's so weird. Its been a year.
One of my friends lost her taste and smell and its been over a year and she doesn't have it back, she eats food by texture now, which she said is a really odd experience but like she likes eating completely different things, like bread apparently feels really weird without the taste
