Honestly Jon Bernthal (Netflix's PUNISHER) MIGHT even be a better potential DOOM Slayer than Nic Cage...

Frankly this would be the best way to do a DOOM movie. Not taking itself too seriously and with a silent protagonist, so the plot is there but it takes a back seat to the fun action sequences

You forgot to put in the part with the chameleon
I didn't think it would improve the watching experience. I try to use the music and the video as synergistically as possible so you get the feeling of impact when the beat drops, or when he's slamming the knights head on the wall etc...
I wanted to loosely tell enough of the story to make it very clear what's happening and why (even if you haven't seen the movie), and I think the "It has to have everything, unedited, in the right order" rigid structure would take away from the overall entertainment value.
The B plot with the chameleon chasing people OUTSIDE of the restaurant would be confusing and feel out of place IMO. I was very deliberate with the voice lines I included, and I just don't think there's a great way to set up the chameleon fight in this context (it could work, but that doesn't mean it would be better)
