I never like the design of the 911, though! It looks too much like a damn toad, in my opinion. But, I would still buy it, because of its awesome driving dynamics and engineering.

Compare that to the 2018 911Turbo S, 0-60 in 2.5 sec with PDK....and by the way, the contrived impression that Germans are somber over-serious folks is part of the past war(s) western culture anti-German legacy. I grew up with German parents, and though they could be very stoic, they were mostly very fun loving and emotional.

It's hard to think of looking at that 911T from '96, and how Porsche can continue to extract better power, handling and braking from that car all these years later, but they continue to do so. I will say the leap was bigger from a '76 911 to a '96 vs '96 to today.

I just watched the 1994 911 Turbo 3.6 review and am surprised that the 1996 911 Turbo was slightly slower in Motorweek’s testing. The 1994 Turbo 3.6 did the same 0-60 mph in 4.0 seconds flat but was quicker through the 1/4 mile at 12.2 @ 117 mph versus the 1996 Turbo at 12.4 @ 114 mph through the 1/4 mile. I would expect the AWD and extra horsepower to get it to 60 mph and through the 1/4 mile a little quicker.
