The food looks so appetizing
The Asian guy at the end was like “ I have disappointed my family by picking C”
Wow..What quality and time Japan (Hokkaido) puts into their rice. I would've loved to have been there to try the rice. Thanks as always for taking us along.
Thank you for this, the right kind of rice is so important to your dish.
Love this
Thanks for sharing this. I would like to visit Japan in the future. I hope you and your cameraman have a good afternoon, Chef Hiro. Cheers!

Scientific evidence that Hokkaido rice is the best.
Hiro: Very Good Afternoon
Hiro did i already tell how AMEZING YOU ARE!!!! can i get greets from japan?
Good Afternoon,
Very good and interesting information. I have been experimenting with different short grain rice that is available in my area (Southern Indiana). My 1st bag was Akitomachi Super Premium from California and my second is Tamaki Gold, also a California rice. Both purchased from Asian markets and the later was said to be the store owners favorite go-to brand. The next time I shop, I will have to see if I can find some rice actually from Japan to sample. You have definitely piqued my interest!
Hokkaido is my favorite of the main Japanese islands, it’s beautiful during the winter and fall
A sushi chef at Roppongi once told me he prefers to use new crop short grain California rice for nigiri explaining that it wasn’t as sticky as Japanese rice. He said he purposely undercooked Japanese rice to keep it on the firm side. He also said the Japanese did a superior job in storing rice and hence stayed fresher throughout the year. It was an interesting discussion.
I bring back about 10 kg of rice every time I go to Japan. For regular steamed rice it is definitely better.
Good Afternoon
Good skil cooking and be the master

What was the conclusion? Which rice is considered superior? I live in Australia and wonder which rice I should attempt to source
The best sushi rice is whatever sushi rice Hiro makes that day.
13:00 so satisfying
The guy with the rice plow high as a kite
Hiiro have you tried Kokuho Rose rice from California?
Hiroyuki,
I would never have thought that they could be so different.
It would have been nice to know why they liked a over and C over B.
Was it the Texture, the flavor or what?
Cheers,
Rik Spector
How long was the rice cooked for?
Matsuda looks very much like Ip man (the movie series) 🙈 He could be his brother 🤣
What video did the camera man do a face reveal?
You should have put them all in the same pot to see the end result the best rice Was in the bigger pot that was labeled letter A and white in color it stood out more to the eye could be a psychological thing I could be wrong just my opinion either way great video I would love to try the Japanese rice
I have eaten white rice and brown rice. I thought that about covered it lol
6:18 is that chef Oona Tempest?

What do you think the best sushi rice, that can be found in Asian markets in the US, is?
Christopher Biegel imo Nishiki rice is good
- "Did anyone Pay you"
- "I'm rich"
he said I wish
Hello!
Look at how much energy goes into getting a bag of rice to show up at your grocery store.
I understand this when I eat rice. Leave no grain of rice uneaten on a plate. I always consider how much effort it took for growing it, harvesting it, processing it, packaging it, and marketing it. With this in mind, it seems like a terrible waste to even leave one grain of rice uneaten on a plate.
the fish seems to be uncooked, im I wrong?
Off topic, but this video made me want to learn Japanese.
the translator so bad
I have to learn fast Japanese
4:25 Is that Ip Man??!
Of course okido ( sorry I don’t know how to spell it) rice will be best Bec they’re the source of rice 🍚 ❤️❤️❤️
They dint care bout the rice they look hungry 😁😁😁😁😁😁
Hi Hiro! 13:33
Rice already has a plain taste to it. Idk how anyone can taste the difference between rice. But hey, have a go I guess lol
J V It’s not just the taste, it’s also the size, the texture, the firmness, the starchiness, its adhesiveness. There is more to the appreciation of rice than just its taste.
Please send me a kilo of the Japanese rice to test.
Every time I see anything that's related to Japan like sushi or samurai I immediately think of anime. Every time sushi anime samurai anime everything that I see I immediately think of Japan. I guess its fate that I think of Japan I'm not Japanese but I can't help me bring on the sushi.
