I've now created the deviljho switchaxe n teoastra switchaxe but I'm in iceborne so I'm back tracking n need help getting like the main power,elemtals,n dragon switchaxes I love mhw iceborne n wilds specifically bc it seems realistic but don't get me wrong rise combat is really good I just don't to tough like the graphics but yea I'm back into iceborne again n I want to become the best switchaxe user n charge blade user as well I just love all offense no defense but we got a counter in wilds for the switchaxe and every weapon I've seen played so beautifully. It's a sight to see and I'm glad I can play these games without a care in the world and I can experience these feelings on getting armour n learning the patters of a monster with random people I love helping other randoms but never firing the SOS button I want to achieve Fatali's switchaxe but alone on this journey. I've done bloodborne,elden ring,sekiro,lies of p, and now Monster Hunter World and its little brother monster hunter rise and now Monster hunter WILDS join me my brothers,sisters,aunts,n uncles,even grandfather's n grandmother's as we take the journey to the end with this game. I have 200 hours as a greatsword main. I just started replaying the game and I wanted to try a new weapon so I tried the switch axe. OH MY GOD is it the most fun i have ever had playing this game. With the GS you dont have a lot of combos, but with the SA it is crazy. This game is like a drug for me.

As someone who had Monster Hunter World (without DLC cuz when I bought it the dlc wasnt out yet and I didnt play it until 2024) be their second Monster hunter (after Rise which i only beat low rank of) I chose the Morph Axe as my weapon up until Nergigante and I loved every second of it. I did everything solo and it was great. Amazing Move set, high damage, great elemental damage and decent mobility. I have since switched to GS and I love the move set even more. 80 hours on record and Just about beat Xenojiva. cant wait to buy the DLC and get into Iceborn!

What I took away from this video is that you learned to use the switch axe and really enjoyed doing so, but Punchy was the MVP with those traps, knockdowns, and stuns!
Relearning the Switch Axe after being used to Lance and Bow. I played it quite a bit on my main file after going through CB and LS along with BW and LC. But SA has an extra oomph that is just awesome. Gonna save that video as a backup and motivation. I may go Swagaxe in Wilds. Will be my first MH game I play at launch with the buds.
I went back into my MHW screenshots and I found a bunch of me DESTROYING with Switch Axe even though I have absolutely no memory of even playing with switch axe, might be because I had 500 hours of MHW gameplay before I finished the game but it’s always fun to see my past characters.
My friend thanks to u, i finally took a look at the swaxe and i think i may hav become obsessed with it. I hav never cut tails and broken horns more with CB than the swaxe
For new switch axe users here is a tip: if you spam the attack when in ZSD, stop at the ending before the explosion, it will null the knock back animation that forces you in axe form with a slow recovery, putting you next to the monster to ZSD again.
When I first started playing MH World I mostly mained Charge Blade and Switch Axe, eventually I thought I was making things too easy for myself and as I've been replaying world and playing rise I've kinda banned myself from using both in favour of long sword and occasionally the greatsword and dual blades

I really enjoy the Dual Blades, but Switch Axe is right up there haha. I also had a great time with the charge Blade now that I've put more time into it :)
This might be a dumb question, but I’m new to this game. And I was wondering how he gets punchy(the Palico) to sleep the monsters and shock trap. Anybody able to help me out there?
creating a new save file everytime u try a new weapon sounds like a waste to me.Idk maybe he opened everything he could in his primary save or something,or he likes to have a fresh start,whatever he could have his reasons but it hurts me to see him delete+make saves.
I think it's the best way to learn a new weapon. Play through the game with gear scaled to the power of the monsters you're currently at. I love it. The materials don't bother me at all
Is it really that hard? Like 100 hours is alot of time for world. Getting to xeno on my first time took me less than 20 hours with crafting and farming stuff in between. And doing ib stuff wont take much longer either if you are efficient. I guess cutting of the tail can take a bit but there isn't that many monsters. Idk as a long term mh player this doesn't feel too challenging even with a weapon i dont play much. World is just a very short game story wise because of how beginner friendly they made it. Maybe its just because I generally know how to use all the weapons, might be different if you normally one trick a weapon and never even looked at the other weapons. Now do it with prowler. Oh wait.

Out of all the weapons you’ve played so far, what would you say are you favorites? I know you started with dual blades (and it was the same for me back in 3U), but you’ve seemed to have fun with my two favorites of HH and SA now. Had your opinion changed?
I really enjoy the Dual Blades, but Switch Axe is right up there haha. I also had a great time with the charge Blade now that I've put more time into it :)

creating a new save file everytime u try a new weapon sounds like a waste to me.Idk maybe he opened everything he could in his primary save or something,or he likes to have a fresh start,whatever he could have his reasons but it hurts me to see him delete+make saves.
I think it's the best way to learn a new weapon. Play through the game with gear scaled to the power of the monsters you're currently at. I love it. The materials don't bother me at all
Is it really that hard? Like 100 hours is alot of time for world. Getting to xeno on my first time took me less than 20 hours with crafting and farming stuff in between. And doing ib stuff wont take much longer either if you are efficient. I guess cutting of the tail can take a bit but there isn't that many monsters. Idk as a long term mh player this doesn't feel too challenging even with a weapon i dont play much. World is just a very short game story wise because of how beginner friendly they made it. Maybe its just because I generally know how to use all the weapons, might be different if you normally one trick a weapon and never even looked at the other weapons.
Now do it with prowler. Oh wait.

The hours rack up when it comes to the tail cutting. It's not firing up a quest and cutting a tail, it's all in the Guiding Lands.
And take into consideration that you're starting with nothing including decorations. There's no perfect builds in this challenge and every piece of armor you grind for runs your time down.
