What I love about Genos is that despite half the time he's getting pummeled, he isn't set up for failure like most satires. It's because of his failures that he must improve and become more self sufficient, it's that which pushed him to new heights and we as an audience want him to succeed in doing that everytime. It's not even that Genos is weak, it's that he always extends himself to fighting EXTREMELY strong foes that most would find it hard to kill (minus Saitama). Genos is S rank for a reason. He's a badass, but like you said, he fights the toughest fights. Like fighting Gandahar at the start of Two Worlds outside the village. It's not impossible but 99% chance you'll get your ass handed to you.
Actually, long time ago I saw a OPM power levels video. I doubt about the veracity of that video, but I was surprised about the ammount of times Genos appeared with diferent power levels.
What I love about one punch man is, that while it fufilled its purpose of being a satire on anime tropes, it's still got a good cast of compelling characters, good art style, cool music, a good story, well choreographed fights, and,quite possibly most importantly of all, a great message: Saitama, while being basically an untouchable god, isn't happy with his life because he can't struggle, while characters like mumen and Genos are motivated by their weakness, failure, but still use their grit and determination to punch it in the face and improve upon their shortcomings. In short, struggling is what makes us human, it's what makes us feel, but that doesn't mean we constantly suffer and are worthless. Great show, a personal favorite and one of the greatest works of fiction of all time
Saitama should try to migrate to the JJBA or DBZ universes to get an actual fight tbh, since Boros was able to make him use substantially more than 0.1% of his strength (Something no one else has ever been able to do), my guess is that someone an order of magnitude more powerful than Boros would finally be at Saitama's level

The part where you're restoring power to the station.... OMG... those flying bird/insects do SO MUCH damage, and then running from SA-X opening those doors.... hands down the hardest part for me... I diededededed easily +30 times... I still get shivers from the sound of the SA-X's footsteps
