Just ordered a set today, mini sticks with the holes. Excited to try them. Going to probably make my own rod because it’s cheaper. Sticks are on sale right now- 4 pack $300
I wish they would do something to not make them so would when you stack them. That’s my only quarrel with them. I’m a saddle hunter so I don’t use a classic style stand. They grip tighter than any other stick I’ve seen. But dang, if you don’t have some stealth strips or felt on your sticks it’s like a wind chime.
Honest, fair and informative commentary and review. Earned my subscription. Just bought myself a set of the Primal aluminum snap stix. Have not really tried them out yet but bought them for the light weight as my knees are getting bad and just can't handle the carrying in 30 - 40 pounds of gear on my back any more. Hopefully they hold up as I am not a light guy myself either and worried a bit about the strength aspect concerning the aluminum.
@@MichiganGreatOutdoors @Tyler Spoelma I believe the rod hole is now in the no hole version also. I got 4 last week and the rod hole was in all of them.
You made me go look at the website and it looks like now they have the hole for the threaded rod. Great video and I have been ordering the mini's with the holes but I think I might order some without now after watching your video and save a few bucks!
I always thought the holes were a gimmick. I use the LWCG doubles. They are great on many trees, but not all. I think the best sticks are still the original lone wolf sticks. Proven and durable. I use my old one as much as I use my more expensive LWCG Doubles.
Hope you enjoy the beast sticks! I also use the minis, went with the holes just so when they’re stacked you can use the rod to hold them. Another plus of the short ones is that couple inches make it easier to climb if you do have heavier clothes in late season!
That is the first mention I have seen regarding a bent tube. I saw the bent standoffs before they added material and strengthened the standoff. That exact thing is why I have been hesitant on buying the sticks with weight reduction holes. I am glad I you mentioned that in your review because I am 270. This information will push my decision towards the no hole version. Are you thinking of using the cable aider with those sticks?
Highly recommend you check out and review the Eastern Woods Outdoors Ultralight Climbing Stick. Have never tried Beast Sticks but not sure you could any better than the EWO ones.
I'm surprised you bent those tubes. I've used mine for I think 3 seasons with no problem. Although I am lighter than you. I didn't like the rod for packing sticks, so I don't think you are missing out on much.
Man I love my beast stand and minis sticks with 18" cable aiders.. Get about 17 feet up with conservative spacing. Nothing grabes the tree like beast gear. I definitely feel safer with this set up. The stand you can literally hang with no strain. Good review Sir.
Far as stacking goes.. all you need to do is add a strip of stealth strips where the standoff contacts the step.. it makes them stack silently and tight.
I’m not sure where you live in mi but I’d be willing to let you use one of my minis with holes to compare to these. I live on the west side. I also bent a full set of 24 inch sticks I’m 280 naked lol
Hi, I'm wondering how you like them compared to the full size sticks. Do you like them better then the Trophy Line ones that you reviewed? I did a test run on a tree the other day and 22" is step is pretty big. The 18' seemed more comfortable to me. Your only talking 14 inches less then the full size ones with all four sticks.
What saddle do you use? We are the same size and I’ve been wanting to get into a saddle but not sure which one is the best and most comfortable for my size. Thanks
Awesome. I subbed and scanned through some of your videos. I will for sure be watching a lot of them as you seem to review some pretty quality things. Thanks
Just curious how long did it take you to get those still waiting for my minis with the holes i literally camped the website 08/31 when they said they were going to become available they didnt become available until 09/01 but the standards sold out by 6am eastern time I got my order in for 4 minis just still waiting for tracking info
Cool thanks yea im not sure what time they became available iguess 12 am central time im an hour ahead so i ordered 5am central time I reached out last week on the 8th and Mario said all mini stick orders would be shipped by the end of the week it looks like yours were part of that shipment I dunno I emailed again today just to see if maybe its an inventory issue I might just have to get some hawks or muddys our season opened the 11th and I really wanna get in this .5 lol
@@Njjb122 my beast stand shipped on the 15th orderd on 8/31. It’s coming tomorrow super exited. My season opened yesterday so I had to use the old tree stand.
Ordered my minis yesterday. Now I’m nervous after reading the comments about shipping. They charge $30 for shipping and take their sweet time. I’m sure they’re slammed but dang. Keep your fingers crossed. 🤞🏻

Yeah they are definitely loud as heck if you dont wrap them up!! I stealth striped mine and hockey taped them.
We appreciate your honest, heart felt review.
Thanks!
No worries!

You Sir are a pioneer. They drill a hole in the “no hole version” now. Sold a couple sets of muddy pros and bought them 👊👊
These are fantastic sticks, I use them when I saddle hunt and love them.

I run 18” cable aiders with the aurohunter. Thanks for the honest review
Your welcome
I'm having trouble choosing between these and the Novix Single Step Climbing Sticks. The price difference is pretty massive.
Its all preference, some people love the double step some people just run singles step.
Nice vid man
Thank you!!
Atta boy give em hell great reviews
Thanks, we gotta keep these companies on the straight and narrow!!
Talk to Dan
What should I say?
I am looking to pick these up to run with my novix helo. would love a video on how to best pack these sticks with the novix helo.
Im sorry, I dont have these sticks anymore.

Beast sticks are really nice, they bite great. I dont think the holes reduce the weight all that much honestly.

Absolutely! Big beast fan here!
Can we please get a review on those black new balance kicks....you’re like saying “I’m a dad, but I’m a kick ass dad” thanks in advance.
Lol my wife made fun of me too 🤣
Do you think there's any difference in the no hole version and say xop
Yes, the no hole is a better quality 100% also made in usa vrs china
@@MichiganGreatOutdoors thanks for answering
@Denny Birchfield I run a lot of lwcg sticks but when I saddle hunt I prefer the beast sticks!
Do a vid on your go to setup what sticks and stand you bring in.
Ok!

I just bought a small sticks and I are very excited

Good to know! Yeah its whatever, Im super hard on my gear. Im sure ive jumped down on them too.
Can you compare these to the NOVIX mini doubles? Are the Beast sticks worth all the extra money in your mind?

3 or 4 sticks to get to 17'?

Thats what I was figuring with my math, with my spacing I should get 17- 18 ft.
