After Gogeta uses the Soul Punisher on Broly and sees that it does almost no damage to him, he smiles a little. This is because the Soul Punisher acts like the Spirit Bomb in that it doesn't do damage to people who have a good heart, so Gogeta smiled knowing that Broly was a good person. I'd say there was a decent chance that the Big Bang Kamehameha wasn't intended to kill him.

One of the biggest laughs I had in the movie was Goku calling the food in planet Vampa "repugnant", because he had just learn the meaning of a word 3 days prior. I can just picture Goku during those three days just itching for a chance to use the new word he just learned.

And the moment when piccolo was teaching vegeta how to fuse and knew the fusion was going to fail and did a "hmm" right before they finished fusing reminded me when he was teaching trunks a goten the fusion dance and piccolo did the same sound when they failed.
Saw the movie today was jammed pack and arguable the best movie experience I ever had. Crowd pops for SSG Vegeta, Broly wooping Friezas ass and the crowd chanting KAMEHAMEHA with Gogeta it was soo damn awesome!!
@@crixstix46 I know what you're saying, but there are bigger pacing issues to the movie than some characters losing clothing. Like the first act being very choppy, because it feels like at least half of the backstory stuff was cut out from Toriyama's original 3 hour script. But yes, I agree Battle of Gods had better pacing, in part because it knew to keep itself very simple and self-contained. Whereas this movie is juggling a bunch of different characters, while simultaneously trying to set up more stuff for the future.
What made it more hilarious is the fact we are suppose to believe that freezer endure broly's beating for *an hour* as goku vegeta fusion failed twice.
Just seen it. Didn’t really like the story, but it was still a lot of fun to watch. The tension was missing during the fight scenes, but it felt like I was on a roller coaster ride the whole time watching it so that was pretty cool.

Tbh a lot of these were a reach, felt a bit like you made the vid for the sake of making a vid. Don't get me wrong, there were some easter eggs that were well covered by you ( like the Cado one) but I feel like a lot of the easter eggs you mentioned were fairly obvious to anyone with a somewhat decent knowledge about db. Not saying it was a bad video, just think a lot of these "easter eggs" don't deserve to be on the list.

Just finished out of the movie and oh man... Dragon Ball Super Broly’s character writing and humor was Afucking1. Top tier. A Character driven plot that gave me a little bit of everything. Sure it wasn’t groundbreaking or unique, but for what it was, pretty damn spectacular. Can’t wait to see what’s next for this series
A good one you missed is that Broly when Paraqus found him on Vampa, had a power level of 910. That's the same power level that Goku had when Raditz came to Earth according to an old Japanese power level guide.
Exactly. It meant so many things. Never, I mean NEVER has Goku considered himself as "Kakarot" in the entire Dragon Ball series. This could mean that after seeing Broly, and after all that has happened in Z and in Super, Goku changed. Perhaps he is starting to accept his origin with grace.
Two more eastereggs: 1. Vegeta green hair during transformation might be a shout out to gohan's fans iterations of his special form that might not come. 2. Shenron can't teleport someone without their permission (like when the gang wanted to teleport goku to earth while he was learning instant transmission and shenron said goku said he don't wanna) so it can mean broly wanted in his heart to go back and not to fight.

I believe it was a thumbnail from another big RUclipsr that made me decide not to watch anymore videos. He showed Gogeta in the thumbnail and I was kinda upset because, how cool would it have been to experience that moment on the big screen with no prior knowledge??? All in all, I will do it again if they make another movie. Now I'll go back and watch a few prediction to see if anyone was right!

Let me just say this movie had me in awe just awe of how visually beautiful and how broly story and character was presented the movie is an incredible wonderful movie that I won’t forget and it’s my favorite now
I know it won't happen, but i would love to see a spin off series focused on the Saiyans of planet Vegeta before Frieza blows up the planet, ideally before Frieza is even appointed king.
You missed one more easter egg on the last scence, when Goku says goodbye and tells Broly to call him Kakarot, the close up of Goku is reminiscent of him saying goodbye to Gohan before he instant transmission Cell to King Kai's planet. Anyone agree?
The story was too good to put in a 120 minute movie. Wouldve loved to see Bardock kick ass against Friezas soldiers. Also felt it was unrealistic of Frieza to fight Broly for an hour.

Seeing DBS Broly + Geekdom = instant like. I especially love the first person view from Broly’s perspective, that segment was great. That’s awesome that they actually let you borrow the film to watch privately!
So the Bardock rebellion moment where he shoots one final ki blast at Frieza's Death Ball in attempt to stop it, you can see in the background there's Frieza soldiers surrounding him. Plus he's battle damaged. Also when it shows both his ki blast and Frieza's meet and connect, we see Bardock is borderline in space! So that confirms he was rebelling and was trying to get to Frieza while fighting off Frieza's soldiers like in the old one, we just don't see the entire event fold since they probably couldn't fit it in.

yup. It's my favorite form of his. It's so badass. The green hair and aura we see on Goku and Vegeta in those brief moments is also the power of the great ape that was teased again.
The last line is the reason why I liked the dub version more. I watched the subbed version and the last line was Goku just saying his name was "Goku...or Kakkarot". But in the dubbed, he told Broly to call him Kakkarot. A small difference but a much bigger meaning behind it since the only other person he allows to call him that was Vegeta. He even got pissed when Radditz called him Kakkarot. So awesome.
he didn't like vegeta calling him kakkarot at first either he just got used to it and accepted that is his saiyan name and since he wants to connect with Broly what better way of doing it. It's not that he allows vegeta to call him that what is e going to do to make him stop.
My point was that in the Dub, Goku told Broly specifically to call him Kakarot. It is different than saying my name is Goku or Kakarot while he was speaking to the three of them. He connects with Broly on a saiyan level. And OHCAM5, ya if he didn't want Vegeta calling him that, he would have an issue. The reason he lets Vegeta call him Kakarot is because they are freinds and rivals now. But I do respect both of your opinions, I'm just pointing out why I feel the message behind the last line was a little better in the Dub version.
I loved the attention to detail with the characters. Raditz harping on how pathetic Goku was, Vegeta not giving a damn about his own planet blowing up lmaoooo, Broly and Cheelai moments are a YES! Bardock’s cool demeanor was alright..him explaining that the Saiyans were always a brute warrior race that conquered and sold worlds, but then felt like he had to protect something due to all the violence he endured was somewhat heartwarming, even if it was a brief. I wish we saw more of him because I didn’t totally dislike him. Frieza was great as fucking usual. I had fun

Anyone else notice that when broly went fully into his rage that his pupils shattered? It was cool, considering his pupils reappeared just before he was about to be killed by gogeta.
Logan Sanders I think the reason his pupils reappeared is due to he wish. When the wish was made, it was “Save Broly.” I think that suggested save him from himself, and calmed him down. That’s why he was in his base form when he landed on Vampa.
I think that was for dramatic effect. Broly was about to lose power, remember not only did he take a thrashing. It was also the first time he went ssj, he wouldn't be able to keep it up forever, he peaked. That's why he was in base form and sane again by the time he hit vampa.
Few things off the gogeta and broly fight alone. Gogeta's similarities with Gotenks: - His color scheme, attitude after perfect fusion, Piccolo being involved throughout, choosing a name and sticking with the coolest one. All Gotenks. -That arm shuffle into elbow reminiscent of gotenks charged 5H in DBFZ followed up by his own vesion of DIE DIE Missile Barrage. Similarities with the Z and GT showings -They pretty much implemented everything from movie 12 Gogeta here except for the vanishing blows he hit janemba with to start the soul punisher combo. The bycicle kicks, the acrobatic jumps, the combo with soul punisher ender. - GT Gogetea was pretty non existant here and imo makes sense since i doubt anyone wanted to see such a one sided fight. I'll say this though, that kamehameha at the end didn't start like big bang kamehameha but, the blast itself looked sort of like it. It went grew like it did in GT from regular to X100 and was epic as well... Might be reaching but that was the only thing i disliked about his canon debut. I wanted that big bang kamehameha 😤.
still feel little sad about paragus. He acted wrong but not totally illogical, he really did run to save broly and suffer with him all the way through. Im pretty sure brolly himself had forgiven him for hes attitude, he even corrected chirai and leemo to "dont talk bad about father". Without neglecting that paragus "used" him. Im pretty sure broly realized hes father feelings and motives where not ill. If he didnt care for the man, the ssj transformation would have made no sense. They made it parallel to goku cause it wasent just anger, broly was agnry af all the time, tell otherwise if you cant, what trigger the burst it was SADDNESS. Brolly actully got so sad that he exploded, im pretty sure he was more than "ok" with paragus.

Guys, what about the fact that Vegeta, after seeing Goku fight and starting to lose against Broly, went up to Goku himself and requested a team up, and Goku also consenting to it. To me, that line meant so much cause it showed that finally through all the time spent training and learning, they've finally learned how to put their Saiyan pride aside for the sake of saving the world, and achieving an exponentially greater power while fighting together, as Whis stated would happen.
In Japan we refer to them as Saiyajin, sye-ya-jeen. Meaning people of saiya. Saiya is a play on words of the Japanese word yasai which means vegatable. For those who don't know that's why you get "vegetable people". Kakarot = carrot, vegeta = vegetable
This might be a reach but when they were scanning Broly with their scouters the numbers hit 9000+ before showing the - - - - which may be an homage to the infamous "It's over 9,000" exclamation from Vegeta

@KingOne He means they did so via breaking reality, which they literally did. Twice reality shattered around them and reformed with them on the other side of the breach. It happened during a clash with the rift breaking around them like glass, both times - it was not a teleport. Not really a HUGE feat considering both Majin Buu and Gotenks did this by simply screaming to escape the Time Chamber. Only difference is that Gogeta and Broly made a stop between the dimensions and fought there for a while. It was literally abstract space between dimensions, probably similar to the Crack of Time Demigra was trapped in Xenoverse (just using that as a reference, not calling it canon).
There body’s are technically indestructible by any earth element at the stage they were fighting in, lava wouldn’t do crap to them but I thought that was cool lol

Most of these aren't even easter egg's, just "did you notice" things. The Frieza's height wish is actually an easter egg or an omage to something. At first glance the scene is very weird, but it directly reflects Frieza to Bulma, both of them having very shallow wishes, where Bulma wishes to be "only 5 years younger" and any more would be too much, where as Frieza wishes to be 5inches higher and not more. Not only that, but it's also an omage to the original Red Ribbon army General, who was a short guy and sent all these goons after Goku and the Dragon Ball's only for us to learn that the General didn't want to be looked down upon when he should be looked up to hence his wish was to be taller.
Anyone see the green aura goku and vegeta gave off with the green hair making it look like brolys full power form . This happened when they were transitioning through forms
goku and vegeta transforming into various super saiyan forms is a reference to when goku and vegeta transformed into various super saiyan forms in the original anime/manga.
That scene where broly grabs goku by the leg and slams him on the ground over and over also happened in the tournament in power where kale went berserk and did the same exact thing to goku.
Missed the slight visual reference with Young Vegeta after the planet explodes. When he's sitting there eating his fruit with Raditz, he's pose resembles his first appearance in Z when he's sitting with Nappa eating the remains of some alien. He has that same squatted sit with the arm resting over his leg. It's not exactly the same, and Raditz isn't mirroring Nappa, but the pose is too similar to not be a reference.
Just seen the movie. Much shorter then i thought. Good movie. Will say the animation kinda made it hard to see the actual action. But then again when your moving faster then the speed of light i guess makes sense
Yeah just saw the movie a few hours ago it was an amazing experience the voice acting the animation were some dragon ball best work so far and I hope for many my birthday was today and just seeing this movie today made it feel a lot more special to me I recommend this movie to anyone who may not plan on seeing this movie

Frieza wanting to wish that he was taller, and Kikono’s dumbfounded reaction to it, also reminded me of Commander Red’s wish to be taller and Officer Black’s shocked reaction to that wish. Of course, Black took Red out upon hearing that and Kikono didn’t have second thoughts about the Frieza Force, so the similarities are slight.

You forgot Piccolo's cape fluttering when Gogeta was fusing which was a homage to the old DBZ opening.
And the moment when piccolo was teaching vegeta how to fuse and knew the fusion was going to fail and did a "hmm" right before they finished fusing reminded me when he was teaching trunks a goten the fusion dance and piccolo did the same sound when they failed.
When Gine said "Don't forget us" everyone in the theatre busted out laughing

@@crixstix46 I know what you're saying, but there are bigger pacing issues to the movie than some characters losing clothing. Like the first act being very choppy, because it feels like at least half of the backstory stuff was cut out from Toriyama's original 3 hour script.
But yes, I agree Battle of Gods had better pacing, in part because it knew to keep itself very simple and self-contained. Whereas this movie is juggling a bunch of different characters, while simultaneously trying to set up more stuff for the future.

Just seen it. Didn’t really like the story, but it was still a lot of fun to watch. The tension was missing during the fight scenes, but it felt like I was on a roller coaster ride the whole time watching it so that was pretty cool.

Tbh a lot of these were a reach, felt a bit like you made the vid for the sake of making a vid. Don't get me wrong, there were some easter eggs that were well covered by you ( like the Cado one) but I feel like a lot of the easter eggs you mentioned were fairly obvious to anyone with a somewhat decent knowledge about db. Not saying it was a bad video, just think a lot of these "easter eggs" don't deserve to be on the list.

Just finished out of the movie and oh man... Dragon Ball Super Broly’s character writing and humor was Afucking1. Top tier. A Character driven plot that gave me a little bit of everything. Sure it wasn’t groundbreaking or unique, but for what it was, pretty damn spectacular. Can’t wait to see what’s next for this series

I believe it was a thumbnail from another big RUclipsr that made me decide not to watch anymore videos. He showed Gogeta in the thumbnail and I was kinda upset because, how cool would it have been to experience that moment on the big screen with no prior knowledge??? All in all, I will do it again if they make another movie. Now I'll go back and watch a few prediction to see if anyone was right!

I especially love the first person view from Broly’s perspective, that segment was great.

So the Bardock rebellion moment where he shoots one final ki blast at Frieza's Death Ball in attempt to stop it, you can see in the background there's Frieza soldiers surrounding him. Plus he's battle damaged. Also when it shows both his ki blast and Frieza's meet and connect, we see Bardock is borderline in space! So that confirms he was rebelling and was trying to get to Frieza while fighting off Frieza's soldiers like in the old one, we just don't see the entire event fold since they probably couldn't fit it in.
That made me so happy. Bardock got to be a great dad AND the rebel badass his OG version was

The last line is the reason why I liked the dub version more. I watched the subbed version and the last line was Goku just saying his name was "Goku...or Kakkarot". But in the dubbed, he told Broly to call him Kakkarot. A small difference but a much bigger meaning behind it since the only other person he allows to call him that was Vegeta. He even got pissed when Radditz called him Kakkarot. So awesome.
he didn't like vegeta calling him kakkarot at first either he just got used to it and accepted that is his saiyan name and since he wants to connect with Broly what better way of doing it. It's not that he allows vegeta to call him that what is e going to do to make him stop.
My point was that in the Dub, Goku told Broly specifically to call him Kakarot. It is different than saying my name is Goku or Kakarot while he was speaking to the three of them. He connects with Broly on a saiyan level. And OHCAM5, ya if he didn't want Vegeta calling him that, he would have an issue. The reason he lets Vegeta call him Kakarot is because they are freinds and rivals now. But I do respect both of your opinions, I'm just pointing out why I feel the message behind the last line was a little better in the Dub version.

I loved the attention to detail with the characters. Raditz harping on how pathetic Goku was, Vegeta not giving a damn about his own planet blowing up lmaoooo, Broly and Cheelai moments are a YES! Bardock’s cool demeanor was alright..him explaining that the Saiyans were always a brute warrior race that conquered and sold worlds, but then felt like he had to protect something due to all the violence he endured was somewhat heartwarming, even if it was a brief. I wish we saw more of him because I didn’t totally dislike him. Frieza was great as fucking usual. I had fun

Anyone else notice that when broly went fully into his rage that his pupils shattered? It was cool, considering his pupils reappeared just before he was about to be killed by gogeta.
Logan Sanders I think the reason his pupils reappeared is due to he wish. When the wish was made, it was “Save Broly.” I think that suggested save him from himself, and calmed him down. That’s why he was in his base form when he landed on Vampa.
I think that was for dramatic effect. Broly was about to lose power, remember not only did he take a thrashing. It was also the first time he went ssj, he wouldn't be able to keep it up forever, he peaked. That's why he was in base form and sane again by the time he hit vampa.

Gogeta's similarities with Gotenks:
- His color scheme, attitude after perfect fusion, Piccolo being involved throughout, choosing a name and sticking with the coolest one. All Gotenks.
-That arm shuffle into elbow reminiscent of gotenks charged 5H in DBFZ followed up by his own vesion of DIE DIE Missile Barrage.
Similarities with the Z and GT showings
-They pretty much implemented everything from movie 12 Gogeta here except for the vanishing blows he hit janemba with to start the soul punisher combo. The bycicle kicks, the acrobatic jumps, the combo with soul punisher ender.
- GT Gogetea was pretty non existant here and imo makes sense since i doubt anyone wanted to see such a one sided fight. I'll say this though, that kamehameha at the end didn't start like big bang kamehameha but, the blast itself looked sort of like it. It went grew like it did in GT from regular to X100 and was epic as well... Might be reaching but that was the only thing i disliked about his canon debut. I wanted that big bang kamehameha 😤.

They made it parallel to goku cause it wasent just anger, broly was agnry af all the time, tell otherwise if you cant, what trigger the burst it was SADDNESS. Brolly actully got so sad that he exploded, im pretty sure he was more than "ok" with paragus.
But he didn't need to kill that other saiyan. He was a psycho, or at very least paranoid.

Guys, what about the fact that Vegeta, after seeing Goku fight and starting to lose against Broly, went up to Goku himself and requested a team up, and Goku also consenting to it. To me, that line meant so much cause it showed that finally through all the time spent training and learning, they've finally learned how to put their Saiyan pride aside for the sake of saving the world, and achieving an exponentially greater power while fighting together, as Whis stated would happen.

In Japan we refer to them as Saiyajin, sye-ya-jeen. Meaning people of saiya. Saiya is a play on words of the Japanese word yasai which means vegatable. For those who don't know that's why you get "vegetable people". Kakarot = carrot, vegeta = vegetable

He means they did so via breaking reality, which they literally did. Twice reality shattered around them and reformed with them on the other side of the breach. It happened during a clash with the rift breaking around them like glass, both times - it was not a teleport.
Not really a HUGE feat considering both Majin Buu and Gotenks did this by simply screaming to escape the Time Chamber. Only difference is that Gogeta and Broly made a stop between the dimensions and fought there for a while. It was literally abstract space between dimensions, probably similar to the Crack of Time Demigra was trapped in Xenoverse (just using that as a reference, not calling it canon).
There body’s are technically indestructible by any earth element at the stage they were fighting in, lava wouldn’t do crap to them but I thought that was cool lol

Most of these aren't even easter egg's, just "did you notice" things.
The Frieza's height wish is actually an easter egg or an omage to something.
At first glance the scene is very weird, but it directly reflects Frieza to Bulma, both of them having very shallow wishes, where Bulma wishes to be "only 5 years younger" and any more would be too much, where as Frieza wishes to be 5inches higher and not more.
Not only that, but it's also an omage to the original Red Ribbon army General, who was a short guy and sent all these goons after Goku and the Dragon Ball's only for us to learn that the General didn't want to be looked down upon when he should be looked up to hence his wish was to be taller.

goku and vegeta transforming into various super saiyan forms is a reference to when goku and vegeta transformed into various super saiyan forms in the original anime/manga.
That scene where broly grabs goku by the leg and slams him on the ground over and over also happened in the tournament in power where kale went berserk and did the same exact thing to goku.
Also happened in the original Broly movie.

Missed the slight visual reference with Young Vegeta after the planet explodes. When he's sitting there eating his fruit with Raditz, he's pose resembles his first appearance in Z when he's sitting with Nappa eating the remains of some alien.
He has that same squatted sit with the arm resting over his leg. It's not exactly the same, and Raditz isn't mirroring Nappa, but the pose is too similar to not be a reference.

Just seen the movie. Much shorter then i thought. Good movie. Will say the animation kinda made it hard to see the actual action. But then again when your moving faster then the speed of light i guess makes sense

Yeah just saw the movie a few hours ago it was an amazing experience the voice acting the animation were some dragon ball best work so far and I hope for many my birthday was today and just seeing this movie today made it feel a lot more special to me I recommend this movie to anyone who may not plan on seeing this movie

Frieza wanting to wish that he was taller, and Kikono’s dumbfounded reaction to it, also reminded me of Commander Red’s wish to be taller and Officer Black’s shocked reaction to that wish. Of course, Black took Red out upon hearing that and Kikono didn’t have second thoughts about the Frieza Force, so the similarities are slight.
