I am running out of your vid’s Tommy bc I love youuuu and Josey! This one though made me so so happy seeing that dude so so happy hugging you and explosively joyful🙌🏽 you go everywhere and because you are such a beautiful enigmatic soul people anywhere feel it. I believe that in any place or with any person if you shine with goodness that it affects others energy and energy of situations. Things still can be dicey or uncomfortable in existence right but what we hold inside and put out does steer paths in one way or another. Josey is also a beacon on light, just brings me such joy inside to see y’all together or individually. I travelled a lot globally until I got very Sick with severe lupus with organ involvement..So 11 years no travel except to the mountains yearly to chill. I almost stayed in south Sicilia after 8 years of living there bf I was sick but it was a complicated situation I will say that. I had my 2 oldest daughters in Italia and both have duel citizenship. I know that Ireland seems not your list but perhaps it is. My family/ancestors are from Cork and still have family there. All I want is to go. I know you are Irish and from LI. I was born in Freeport but raised in Suffolk..eventually out on the east end in Eastport..next to Westhamton (Eastport is a little old farming/forested town on the bay..not at all like the Hamptons) my dad live in queens so I had best of both worlds. Woodhaven, ozone park, Jamaica and Richmond hill. I went to the city whenever and knew how to go everywhere at 15 lol. St Marks place and areas of the village where my fave but my dad took us all over. He always said you can’t live in fear, just live so I’d be like 11 walking all over the boroughs and city literally we walked everywhere and it was the best never afraid or had issues. So point is I adore y’all, I think Ireland would be amazing. A country that has been through so much for 800 years. Small, so so much history, colorful one of a kind people, there is still the occupation of the Dublin region which GB still have as theirs..weird borders and still the sentiment of Protestant Brit’s are above Catholic Irish..they disgust at the idea of having an Irish passport..they don’t have to in this area that is all they occupy anymore but the control that is exerted politically, economically and ect is significant. Ireland was the testing ground for England colonization. First enslaved by Vikings in the 1000’s..Dublin was established by Vikings, was the largest slave market in Western Europe. Many Irish were enslaved in Iceland and other places but 40% or so of Iceland were Irish slaves..they revolted in the largest uprising of slaves ever. More was to follow with the Norman conquest and Cromwell and so on. Ireland the only country to have such a lower population now than 100 years ago. We or our families were not indentured servants but slaves. By the hands of England enslaved on our lands and brought to sugar plantations then to other places like you hinted to in Jamaica..also the US. History was written in a way that would not tell of this, slowly historians are recognizing the facts that are so blatantly there. Not word of mouth but written documentation so much of what was done. This is sensitive and my family great great grandparents, their sisters brothers and children bearded so much pain of systemic starvation, slavery, killing and displacement they often were kind but hard disciplinarians bc they experienced the cruelty that exists..then my Mother and father knew little of what I have learned. I research so so much and find some things that I cry over very much but I am able to tell my mother who’s is 68 about our roots and I know this is so important. I say hit up The Mother land Tommy! If so know it is sensitive still bc us Irish are kind simple folk, on the island they I believe are still in fear of poking the bear. 800 years of suffering will do this but the elderly will talk. They speak English bc of colonization but Irish is coming back. I am learning, very difficult just as Icelandic was for me. The parent languages make the difference between rolling into speaking many tongues!!! I think this would be so cool reallyW ok sorry long post-mini novel but let me live vicariously through you Tommy…Sabbatical up in the Motherland cmon🙌🏽❤️✨🙏🏼

He’s one of the youtuber will show everyone is nice people until he end up in news for getting beheaded or kidnapped for ransom.
The end was disappointing but as your friend also said that man was clearly drunk. Everyone else in that place was so amazing and I would judge the place based on them.... ❤️
Why? It's a slum. Shit like that is to be expected
Drunkenness is definitely not an excuse for his behaviour. He's a blatant low life thief. He most likely has done this before.
If that place was in the States, everyone would've been judged already.
It's a slum, anywhere in the world I would expect more than that to happen in a slum.
@@thizz707gr why? because its a slum? you think shit like that doesnt happen outside the slums, in normal cities too or in other places? get your head out of your ass man
So sad to see the friendlieness always turns out to be about the money. They look at you as a walking ATM machine.
Shit brah, you ever buy dope in a hood in America lol
Same thing all over the world, worst in western world.
Uganda my home country following from Qatar
I hope you are good, i’ve heard alot of african workers are treated bad in the middle east
I have heard the same
Am also a ugandan in jordan
I found your channel mid-way through brazil, and im addicted. Since I catched up with the newest videos, I had to go back, started with tanzania and now this ugandan series. keep being you, you are kinda unique in your style and interactions.
Sabbatical, I like what you said to those two kids.......when you work you get paid....
That's right. That's how you should talk to kids when they ask you to give you something. They should earn it and be very grateful to whatever an adult gives you.
@@benjaminsmith2287 ya yall are raising kids to be push overs and mules
"when u work u get paid" not enough. not enough.
I love her attitude, keep up the great work!
I love your videos very interesting how you interact with locals , keep it up the good work 👌could you please visit Rwanda too before you go back to USA 🙏
That one guy is so totally stoked lol. I feel like meeting you is going to become one of his favorite stories to tell. He's clutching you like he just found an artifact that proves something fascinating and knows that he's about to be famous.
1st video appearance of Josey😍
Josie is such a gem and an asset to your channel. You should use her more often. I love her smile and sense of humour.
This guys should be hosted on Ugandan channels to share his experience what he is doing is special..or even put into the tourism sector
Getting Ugandan people to drink on the streets with you is amazing. The amount of convincing it takes Danny Mullen in Downtown LA is the complete opposite. These guys all just seem so cheerful.
Marry that girl! She looks great
@Block Chain what do you mean like that
That's not his mission 😂😂
@Block Chain what??
do you marrying on every pretty girl you meet?
Facts, she’s gorgeous
Damn! Stole your UG and punched yo7! Good move just walking away and laughing..class act! On to the next video! I’m binge watching Sabbatical!! It’s on baby!
I agree. That guy had too many friends to risk getting in a fight with all of them. Plus Josey with him. He made the right move to just walk.
How are you able to walk with those gigantic nuts man! Respect. Every one loves America! You’re rocking it Tommy!
We love your videos keep continue your dream in Africa.
The woman is distractingly beautiful.
True
Very much so.
A few of the women he's been around in other vids are too but yea I wish I was in his place here😂
I would give her my va check.
Which?
You channel is awesome man. It looks like you have So much fun.
Was that really Dee Mwango? Wow. Overall, a positive video except for one bad guy at the end. Even still, the men near him calmed him down, some. Be careful, especially with people drinking. People can become more aggressive when they're drunk.
In the video? No. But the real Dee Mwango posted a comment here.
You're living the dream man
That man who took your wine, looks like the same man who was driving like hell with a coffin in his motorbike , perhaps he might have stolen that coffin from the funeral
Haha
No suggestions required for you...You are handling/managing African people perfectly. You have the skill to manage the African people..and you have daring and confidence...When I was in Ongbedu village in Nigeria..It is dangerous for us..to see high-speed driving a stolen cars from Benin ...?
You got me cracking when you speak luganda funny bro
Hello my name is David I am new subscriber here I am very glad to be on Journey with you
This place personally is one of my favourites, I also went searching for the location of the video and couldn’t get straight answers! So you explained a lot!
I love how your able to capture and share what places that most the western world is to worried to venture too.
Respect!
The western world isn't worried, it simply has no interest. The west built great kingdoms, so why would they want to visit a toilet?
Another Awesome Adventure Thank You Tommy🙂❤👍Watching from NB Canada🙂
Very interesting video. Thanks.
I think this would be so cool reallyW ok sorry long post-mini novel but let me live vicariously through you Tommy…Sabbatical up in the Motherland cmon🙌🏽❤️✨🙏🏼
that was such an amazing video--true stuff.
Love Josey. The woman who never stops smiling!.
Brave, I’m Ugandan living in North America but there places I’m not going to cross when in Uganda.
Josie is an absolute treasure brother. I truly enjoy ever video she is in with you.
Be care full when travelling in villages always take 1 2 people with you theft is high love the vlogs 😂✌just dont take no chances alone dude.
This is so funny! Tommy you're an awesome person!
Well she's gorgeous then 😊
I'm loving your channel, just tuned in and bingeing, , love the way you are with people, even though at the end there it got a bit disrespectful, it's the nature of Africa it's beautiful with beautiful people but every now and then reminds you the law of the jungle exists there throughout society so don't get complacent xxx
Great videos....never take for granted for what you have after seeing this
Brother, I've lived here in Uganda for 10 years. You are really taking risk. Be careful! If you come to Jinja hit me up!
The lady in this video was. A amazing looking lady and tbh he does some very good amazing videos and to see how people live on the other side of the world the councilor made me laugh your a AMERICAN I love American people 🤣🤣amazing vid 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽💯💯💯
You almost had it at 24:22. 😂 Keep practicing and you might become good enough to battle me in a dance-off. 🤪
I'm up for a dance battle in Tanzania
tommyi love youre videos man keep it up
Great work chief
Tommy I'm new on your blog..From Canada I think your chemistry with Josey is great..Nice friend
Don't let your bag be stolen in Uganda..take charge of your valuables, Man.
I’m from England and have been to a slum in Kampala,I didn’t have any problems, lovely friendly people,It was an eye opener that’s for sure
Be very careful my friend. you seem like a very nice guy.
I’ve never been to Uganda but after going to a few slums in South Africa Madagascar and Namibia as a Spanish-white American…I can say I’ve had a similarly positive experience
I wish Tommy could get a drone to make the videos more interesting. I love your videos Tommy ❤️
I felt some apprehension watching this one. All-in-all they are just a very nice people with a few to be aware of. I liked them.
Looks like a fun day
I must sau you are brave, i couldnt do that you do :) !
Josie is beautiful!
Liked and shared publicly on Facebook. Thank you for sharing Tommy.
Love the contrasts in Uganda! Been to Uganda as a single female for months at a time, many times, and never had one bad thing happen.
Now try that being white and a male
@@ivodasilva3932 Well, there IS the sexual harrassment. Sadly, women are so used to dealing with it, we rarely acknowledge it - as per my comment above. But, I've never dealt with theft.
Took me the longest time to watch this video (owing to the title). I'm not a Westerner, so not attracted to Third World slum videos.
31.03 You explained yourself clearly, and now I'm glad I watched it. Also, your first vid featuring Miss Josey 😁
That lake is man made. Towards the end of the 19th century, the Kabaka asked his subjects to dig it. It was supposed to go up to lake Victoria to create an escape route for the Kabaka in case of an attack from the neighboring rival kingdom of Bunyoro
This girl next you, in green, stuning beauty. Real beautie cutie. Uganda, the best looking womans so far.
I like black cuties in traditional african dress.
Charming "ARMY" lady 🙂
No matter where you go there are good and bad people. But overall I think mankind are good people. I am commenting so much because I am fascinated by your videos. I want to do something like this too. I want to go to Nepal, Thailand and Colombia. I don't speak any African languages so I'm a bit scared to go there without being able to communicate, but I speak Spanish and small amounts of Thai. These videos are super interesting to me. Keep it up
As long as you keep your hopes down you're going to enjoy Africa. Walking unguarded in the slums and going into conversation with literally anyone it's definitely challenging. However, if there is anyone in this world willing to give it a try, that is Tommy. Thank you for the uploads, but whatever you do, don't forget about safety first. Also, don't try to prove that all Africans are nice and welcoming, it's not going to work, if you can get a glimpse of their lives is more than enough. Cheers, buddy! 🍻
Why hopes down?
@@kjohn5224 Expectations can lead to disappointments.
I'm a fan I'm Binge watching all your vids
That last guy ruined it for everyone, these are the kinds of people who pull beautiful countries down, plus now a violent dude has a bottle of 46% alcohol who knows how he is when drunk
people like that don't live long
Yes your guest was very wise watching your back, so you are lucky in that place.
The guy who stole your bottle was definitely on drugs. he was chewing those leaves called Mairungi commonly used buy homeless and jobless stupid guys, to keep them awake all night as they steal from people. so always watch out for guys chewing funny leaves.
It's unfortunate they don't chew those to work a job... may God help them
He can chew on deez nutz... or as we say in LA deez nuzzles.
definitely, with that weak ass punch he gave lol but his friends was cool, one took care of him instantly
@@arnoldwayne6775 you want him to chew on deez nuts? You'll have none left,yo!

It's really hard being a mzungu in such a neighborhood..they see you and they feel the Lord has sent an angel..
In Europe:
"It is your country, give us your money!"
In Africa:
"It is our country, give us your money!"
Imagine having a lot of money and just having the opportunity to explore the world. That would be a great exprerience. Meeting interesting people all across the world. Africa (the motherland) seems to be to most unexplored. I would really want to go to Rwanda. They seem so friendly there and it seems safe for tourists.
So based on this video, how do you come to the conclusion that Uganda is unsafe for tourists?
Man, that guy in the alley was sketchy on like every level. From his corrupt politics to his threatening demeanor at the end.
The councilor?
Never let no stranger hug you like that. You will check later and your wallet is gone.
Loved Uganda when I lived there. I worked at Mengo senior school....
