I am so glad I bought my Angel and Alien perfumes back in 2010 coz oh my goodness I smelled the new versions they’re selling now days and they are so much weaker. Angel too, it used to be so strong. Not anymore. I really hate when they weaken popular perfumes. I suggest for ppl to buy a few bottles of a new perfume that has just been released coz u just know they will just reformulate it as soon as they get their customer base. They get u hooked then they weaken it, sound familiar? Same thing drug dealers do. Makes u think.
@@drealmo I think 2018, so anything before that Also the carton now says “Mugler” and the older, original boxes say “Thierry Mugler” in cursive, so look for a box with his full name 🙏🏻

I am really into buying the Alien Eau Extraordinaire or the Oud Majestueux. I do not like the original, because girls tend to overspray it, which kind of kills its magic.
Alien the original, is definitely over worn and a nauseating smell to me. I am glad I didn’t blind buy and got a sample first. I like jasmine, but this is too much. Thank you for this post! I am wondering whether something is wrong with my nose bc although everyone says Alien is so strong...I find it very soft. Maybe it is the amber, but it doesn't hit my nose. For example, la vie est belle.... I really smell that sharp top fruit note.. Maybe I need to not smell perfumes for some time because I am just so confused lol. Does that ever happen to you? I am looking for a signature scent and your videos have been really helpful in guiding me. Thanks so much. PS , do you have a signature scent? Seeing as you know so much about perfume, it would be interesting to see a video on your personal favorites.
Haha well I guess everyone’s nose is different :) it sounds like you really notice fruity notes and alien doesn’t really have any of them. I personally really like fruity notes - my favourites are Jimmy Choo and Ellie Saab. I did love Miss Dior Cherie before they changed the formulation.
I'm the same ! Lol can't really smell it , I know some noses can't smell some notes in fragrance, a lot of people cant smell the musc in narciso for her perfume ,sometimes this can lift over time and start smelling it, I also know that this has been reformulated and I think they have made this less strong such a shame :( hope this helps :)
Hi Soki! I had a sample from Sephora of Sublime flanker. I'm not sure if it is Alien Sublime, or not. Comes in a white bottle. Unfortunately it smelled good from the bottle, but using the sample didn't really like it on me. I was wondering if you know anything about it. Thanks. I really enjoy your videos. Alien the original is not available. Since he sold to L'Oréal they changed the formula and no longer has the same smell and does not last long. Very disappointed. 😞

people in Indonesia rarely buy this. probably because it's grotesque bottle, indonesian loves beautiful bottle like chanel, dior, bvlgari. they won't buy it if the bottle is weird or ugly
I spray my perfumes on my hair and the top of my shirts. Perfumes don't last long on me, either, but spraying it n something porous like hair & clothes hold in the scent.
If I think Alien EDP is too strong for me (I'm sensitive to smells), but I love the scent.. do you think I could handle Alien EDT? Or is that "penetrating" too? Thanks!
EDT is definitely more palatable. It’s funny but I think a lot of people including myself kind of try out and get used to EDT then try EDP again and then like it better!

I was impressed with the original Alien initially...I finally found my signature scent. Unfortunately, it’s not cheap; so I wear it sparingly😌💜

My impression of the original alien is a really expensive grape soda. I love it and proudly wear it as a guy.

I have bad news for you. Alien after reformulation is no longer similar to the classic, it is more like washing powder and it is not at all resistant.

Alien smells has strong incense stick smell which gives me headache. Others around too get suffocated when i wear this perfume on my clothes.
I brought alien classic yesterday so sexy like a floral but a few hours later enormous I think a little heavy 🙄

I went with angel edt and Angel muse. Neither hopefully has raspberries. Angel Edp has red berries. Wish they would which red berries specifically.
