2 of the best to ever play a guitar
I mean Jerry Reed and Chet Atkins playing a Dylan tune…. does it get any better???!!!
We miss u snowman 🎵.
“Do that bob dylan piece
You so proud of em. “
Proceeds to make one of the best performances in musical history
*Note the initial laughter from the crowd. Some folks learned something that day.
Jerry was so cool
Bob just sats back and grins
I love how a young Sean Astin plays the harmonica.
Thanks for pointing that out! Amazing!
Is that a joke? I’ve been trying to find out who it is?
@@catofthecastle1681 Not a joke, but I can't find any evidence that it was Sean Astin. Maybe just a guy who looks like him. Sorry for any fake news.
@@REXOB9 I wasn’t complaining, just wanted to know! He looks remarkably like Sean Astin
@ Not complaining, just wanted to know. Thanks, and he really does look like Sean
Not too often you see 2 "Certified Guitar Players" in 1 place at 1 time.
Chet once said Jerry Reed was One of the greatest guitar 🎸 players of all time....After hearing Jerry's Guitar medley, I have 2...agree.
Chet is the one who gave out the award it is Jon Knowles Steve Wariner Tommy Emmanuel Jerry reed
Goodbye’s just too good a word babe, so I’ll just say go hell... 👍👍👍 I think that’s what I would have written... But I adore Dylan and all he writes
He didn't bother with the final verse
This was always one of my favorite versions of Don't think twice Jerry Reed spin on it was almost like a a ragtime style 🎵 he was a hell lead guitar player musician. But all-time favorite Don't think twice....Billy strings he really took it new level and he too is a hell of a guitar player and musician.
agreed but jerrys voice and pats harmonica win
The definition of that being serenaded
These two are always a delight when they play together.
Cant believe i never found this version. Love the original and this was so different..but really good
Make sure you find Jerry’s studio version. Great stuff.
What a performance, chet and jerry at there best, and I love the final verse he meant it,
My favorite Jerry Reed video!
So happy to find this. Billy Strings' cover of this is killer too. Now to get BMFS to cover "Amos Moses"! 😂
The old man on the left is pretty alright at guitar. I hope he makes something of himself one of these days. It's a hard industry
😀
he'd be the first to tell you that.
It's nice they let him sit in.
If he keeps applying himself he may turn out to be OK. 😀
😂😂😂
My favorite duo of all time (although separately each one of them is #1 by himself)
😂Terry McMillan, I think, is the harmonica player
Jerry Reed pretty damn good
He was an actor wasn’t he? I thought I saw him play a trucker on TV.
@@hkraytai Jerry Reed was one of the greatest guitarists of all time who also happened to be an actor! You're probably thinking of "Smokey and the Bandit" where Jerry Reed played Cledus "The Snowman" Snow alongside Burt Reynolds, Jackie Gleeson and Sally Field. It was a fantastic film series! He also played in a number of other films such as "The Waterboy" as Coach Red. He was an extremely talented musician and actor and much loved by all accounts. From what I've heard he was a super nice person.
@@christophermcdougall8811 Thanks. Didn’t know that. Before my time I guess.
@@hkraytai You're welcome pal, glad to have helped (-:
1:38 - 2:16
The greatest solo ever played
Two masters of the guitar and another one of them can be beat
Ty
great!!
Holy shit
What's the provenance of this video
He played different when he’s live with Chet
:')
Not sure on the harmonica player. That may be Terry Mc Milan. He's great huh.
I think it’s Pat Burgeson
Who is that harmonica player?
Pat Bergeson
i wondered that too. He does such a good job being there when needed and then shutting off when the time comes.
Terry McMillan. Chet discovered Terry. Then Terry played with Jerry where he apparently met my mom's cousin and they married. We used to see them growing up but this is a really young Terry to what I remember if that is him. I recognize his sound more than his looks.😂 He was a wonderful musician.
@@JonJac2002 forgot i commented this and came back to the video to see if anyone had asked. turns out i had asked lol. what a wild connection to a great video. he looks like someone who was interviewed on the ken burns country music doc but it isnt the guy i was thinking
@brendancarnahan8490
I looked closer and compared the picture to other pictures of Terry McMillan and Charlie McCoy. I am thinking that the harmonica player is actually Charlie McCoy. ??? I still have a question.
