I appreciate what you're doing. I am a private investigator in the mid-south area of the States. This industry isn't very sharing, so when guys like you are teaching and sharing - I am very thankful!
Im a private investigator in Canada. Im curious... why do you have a digital camera? Maybe things are different in Canada. Here we only submit only video. Even when we submit images of documents, I myself just take a video clip of it. I imagine you always take video of your subject's when they are under surveillance?
Daylight is easy for a variety of cameras. What you are demonstrating is easy. How about 02:00 on a dark residential street and you need to document the boyfriend's car in the wife's driveway. Headlights cause too much contrast so the tag is glared out unreadable, the sub-cretinous piece of shit Nikon won't focus at night through a perfectly clean windshield (it works fine testing it while standing in the road while not in my vehicle) and you don't want to sit there shining your headlights into the subjects driveway, doorbell camera and front window for more than a couple of seconds. What is a GOOD night vision camera?
Great question. I don’t know anymore. What I do know is a good night vision camera for the research I did years ago was way out of my budget. So the tips I am giving here are for the average individual.
As a PI, are you allowed to film into a home or business through a window? Do you need to obtain any special warrant to do so? I know some folks doing 1st amendment audits, and we don't see eye to eye on this.
In washington state you cannot film anyone with a reasonable expectation of privacy, and that is pretty much the basic rule of surveillance in the country. The rest can be explained easily here: www.findlaw.com/civilrights/enforcing-your-civil-rights/can-i-sue-someone-for-recording-me-.html
I'm looking to start my own private investigation company. I already have camera lenses audio and more. Audio is tricky but I'm figuring it out. Any permits required to practice private investigation
great show keep up the good work, I found the Mobius action cam bulletproof, www.mobius-actioncam.com/, they make a 5.8ghz cradle them and great a good range out of it.

Does Your Canon Vixia time and date stamp? I bought the 800 and everytime I turn on the camera I have to go to settings to time and date it again.
+Brandon Fox it's a second step every time. Not worth using
WoW valuable information thanks 😊 👍

+21st Century Man for formal reports. Can't always reference a video but you can reference a reports with photos
Also many clients ask for photos specifically. And photos taken from video don't always have the same quality.
Are you referring to surveillance or claims investigations?

Great video, thank you so much!
+Rip E welcome!
No dash cam in the surveillance vehicle? I find this invaluable when serving subpoenas and during mobile surveillance!
+Nitro Powerful unless the client needs footage of someone driving i don't really have a need for it
Thank you.
Andrew do you use 2.4ghz or 5.8ghz in the US, i live and Australia and have used 5.8ghz a lot and found it to very useful for the hard jobs.
Very informative!

Not permit. You likely need to be licensed. What state are u in
@@PrivateInvestigatorAdvice indiana
Yeah. You will need to be licensed. Search requirements for your state.
You have trouble focusing.
