Great video. With all the games that I have backed and played, from heavy euros, to 100 hour campaign games, and many other types of games, I still absolutely love playing Carcassonne. I have a lot of the games that you have suggested and I think you are pretty spot on with your picks. Thank you for the video Sir.
Some of these I wouldn't have considered to be like Carcasonne, such as Rajas and Glen More. Small Islands is another game much like Carcassonne and Land vs Sea.
Paris: La Cité de la Lumière The Castles of Burgundy Tigris & Euphrates The Isle of Cats Planet Unknown Carcassonne: The Castle A Feast for Odin Cartographers Heroes My City / Island Railroad Ink Galaxy Trucker Skulls of Sedlec 👊
If I like a game, why would I need another like it? A more fitting title is, "8 games to try if you want a Carcassone experience but didn't like Carcassone." Also, FIRST!
These kinds of list videos all would benefit from clips of the games in action. Aside from that i enjoy your channel. Keep up the good work!
Totally agree with you, just a question of available bandwidth.
@@BoardGameCo maybe BGG pictures on side, like when you do News of the week.

Glen More 2 is freakin fantastic in my opinion.
Awesome list…Thanks for the recommendations!
Absolutely 🙂
If you want to keep a Carcassonne feel, another good tile laying game is Sorcerer City.
Good choice!
I was looking for this comment, ready to add it myself. Sorcerer City and Land vs Sea would be my go-to’s.
Alex, have you seen the game Orx? Its a video game based on Carcassone where you're building castles with your tiles to defend against Orc attacks
Yes! I haven't played it yet but I have it wish listed
Warsaw: City of Ruins (aka Capital)
I think you should at least show the back of the boxes so then we can have an idea of what we are playing.
How about Dorfromantik? Its coop, but is very focused on tile laying.
Honestly that's a great choice, it should 100% be in the video

Small Islands is another game much like Carcassonne and Land vs Sea.
Small islands agreed, but not a big fan of it unfortunately :)
Isle of Skye 😍😍
Yes!
Newer game, Aqua ...
Did you refer to the Ganges as the Ganjas?
Uh oh...did I pronounce it wrong?
You may also like Carpe Diem ;).
It's been a while since I played that one, I only loosely remember it
i guess i could use this a a list of 8 games not to try...
Paris: La Cité de la Lumière
The Castles of Burgundy
Tigris & Euphrates
The Isle of Cats
Planet Unknown
Carcassonne: The Castle
A Feast for Odin
Cartographers Heroes
My City / Island
Railroad Ink
Galaxy Trucker
Skulls of Sedlec
👊
Most of those are polyomino, not tile laying games.

What if you like carcossone but you are now burnt out playing it? This list is then somethings new to try that you would most probably like.
Agreed @@l-one-robot
For me personally, if I like something, I want to know more things like it :)
Maybe you want Ghosts?
This is such a bad take…
