Summer is a difficult time of year for people who have insecurities about their bodies. This year I will turn 30 and I am determined to stop hiding in my clothes, but it is easier to say than to do. That is why this type of content is so important! I feel very close with what you do, and so relieved to be able to see that I am not alone and that there are practical methods and routines to start looking myself through different eyes. For years I have felt that the most attractive people are those who love themselves; who are willing to experiment with shapes, colors and patterns in an exercise of freedom, pleasure and self-determination. I think you are beautiful and I can't wait to feel that way about myself.
thank you for taking the time to write such a thoughtful and vulnerable comment!! sending you so much love and i have no doubt you’ll rock whatever you decide to wear this summer
there’s also this cool hack where you can pin a button up asymmetrically and it looks so cool. def a fun/interesting way to style stuff you already have so they feel new!!
i love that you're rewearing the same pieces (as the slay boots etc.)! people need to be constantly reminded it's okay to repeat clothes or even the whole oitfits ☆ love your videos! have a great day! ♡
Instead of trying to make myself fit into certain clothing styles/fits I've been paying attention to what suits my body best. For example, I've realized that I have a shorter torso (along with being short in general - 5'5") and high-waisted pants are so uncomfortable for me bc they go up to my ribs and I hate the feeling of being restricted. Mid-rise pants fit sooo much more comfortably and I think suit me so much better. Changing the length of my shirts has also been a game-changer. I usually wear baggy shirts, but they're really long and make me look frumpy, making me self-conscious and aware 24/7 of how my clothes are falling on me. Buying "cropped" men's shirts has allowed me to keep the desired baggy fit but my shirts stop at my hip/pelvic bone and look so much better & im not constantly adjusting my clothes.
yesss loved the video and the outfits were SOOO slay!!! loved that you gave different options and suggested different ways of styling for different levels of comfort/confidence. 💗
I really appreciate how you show ways to make an outfit less "feminine" or more gender-neutral. I find that really helpful so thank you! Also I love the brown jacket you found on eBay, it's so cute on you.
I truly love your page. We are in the same age range but I wish I had this access when I was younger. I wouldn’t have spent so much time being so concerned with how others perceived me. Soooo cute!
I love your channel! You have really helped me find my confidence again after a fucked year and some surgery shook everything up for me. I love the space that you’ve created here🫶🏻 I’m definitely going to experiment with my outfits this summer and try to wear a majority of what I own because I have so many different styles of pieces I collected since my goth days😄
for bigger belts: mens belts but they tend to be so plain (L) BUT... cross body bags with removable strap..... like those clutch ones.... they tend to be super adjustable and attach with claw clips on either end... think about it. there are also removable chain strap bags which would have the same effect
hiiiiii love this!! i would love to know if you had any tips about how to style "conservative" outfits like for work in an office or dinner with certain family members without losing your personal taste! :)
definitely layers + accessories!! i’m not sure how conservative your work is, but you could try adding funkier blazers (i.e. not plain black or grey). different earrings, necklaces, rings. socks or tights, midi skirts, etc. i can put together a list and make a video!
I love this channel!! I’m not even over weight but I have really bad body image issues. I never wear what I want because I’m worried people will think I look bad. But I realize it doesn’t matter. So what if they do?
Love your videos and your style is so good! Have you thought about styling people? I am not plus size but would love for you to style an outfit for me! Your style is so fresh and different!
idk if this question has been answered but do you wear or put anything on your thighs to avoid chafing ?? or do you not chafe.. I havent worn skirts or dresses because of this and i dont wanna wear shorts underneath 😭
All those outfits look great , my favourite was the skirt one with cute belly showing very nice, very pretty woman, definitely my type 👌😁🏴 greetings from bonnie Scotland 😁🏴
Can we not start a pilgrim core aethetic? Pilgrims were colonizers and i just think its such an ick for me as a biracial woman and to many black people, aboriginals ,etc. Don't come for me. Just find another name like i dunno american history core. Love the berriez maxi skirt outfit basically every outfit is hitting ( even the canadian tuxedo. Yup im Canadian). Some of these were super helpful for some pieces i have no idea what to do with as a goth . Belts i generally find ( im 2x) in mens big and tall sections. Or when thrifting put two similar belts together. You could get long enough to double it!! So punk!❤
i completely agree and i sincerely apologize! honestly american history core would be just as evil but my mutual calls her style “best dressed on the oregon trail” so maybe something similar to that? 😭 also aww thank you!! i love the idea of putting two belts together, after i uploaded this video i had an epiphany and was like “i can’t just clip two silver chain belts together and then they’ll fit around my hips!!” fashion is so fun :”)
@@lovejessicablair yeah I felt funny saying American history core. I just couldn't think of a " core" to call it. I think style is so versatile that you could be pieces of many subgenres. Like a little dark academia, a little whimsy goth core with a touch of cottage core. Yes the belt thing is awesome cuz you can add a little badassery to a super feminine look. Or tone down a look with a super delicate piece.🥰

Its great to have favorite pieces and outfits, I don't see why it should be a bad thing.
*gathering the courage to wear body con dress as a curvier girl*
it can definitely be scary but i’ve never seen a plus size person that didn’t look hot as hell in a bodycon dress
Life is short, wear it and have fun ❤

You should try wearing neck ties as belts! You can do 1 if long enough or even better - tie 2 contrasting ones together. It's life-changing I swear.
ooh this gave me a good idea!! i just realized i could clip two of my chain belts together to make it big enough to fit around my hips 😭
you’re the coolest person on youtube 💘

…What did the Pilgrims, themselves, do to black people?
