@@hantonoshi musicians need permission to sample songs. Record labels have to sign off on this because a lot of singers don’t own their songs. Halsey would be sued if she didn’t get permission to use the song.
Brittany got dramatic and decided to take something in the video that wasn’t about her personally. She regretted it, deleted the post and lied about posting it.

My personal opinion is that Britney likely DID make that post in a manic state and then regretted it after she calmed down. How many times have we all seen someone say “that wasn’t me, someone else was using my account” or “I unfriended you accidentally”, etc.? Britney deals with mental illness and is very clearly someone who goes through manic episodes and then depressive episodes, sometimes followed by calm and clarity. I’m not judging her for it at all, but I simply just don’t believe “someone” else was “using her phone”.

Why would she post that when she clearly gave Halsey her blessing to sample Lucky? She’s still clearly dealing with a dispute from her past management teams after she left her conservation ship with her dad.
Yeah, but, look at the original message and think about Britney's normal form of messaging...Britney writes in a stream of consciousness. That original message was clear and concise. I don't think Britney wrote the original...not an emoji in site! Ha ha.

Wasn't she crying in her car in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant and then attacked one of the employees for asking her what's wrong? Then she publicly blasted him on social media. I genuinely hope Britney can learn how to healthily manage whatever mental or physical illness (or illnesses) she’s struggling with. I think she was taken advantage of for so long that she doesn’t know what’s real and what isn’t, on top of the mh issues. I hope she’s able to build a team of friends and professionals that can help her manage her life. Whether it’s from the lithium she had to take or it’s another issue altogether, she very clearly has something going on with her thought processes.
I think the music video having some references to Britney's work probably confused her into thinking it was about her initially. Once she realized the error it was easier to deny posting it than try to explain the confusion.

It’s likely that her previous management team(her Dad’s) still had access to her social media. Under Britney, they also posted how they were against ‘Free Britney’ documentary and that it was full of lies.

More likely: Britney heard the lyrics about Halsey shaving her head and misunderstood. she posted thinking Halsey was mocking her 2007 incident, rather than talking about her own life. And then felt embarrassed when she realized she had misunderstood.

@@findingkelly Not ideal, obviously, but she is mentally ill. Due to her condition she does and says things that may seem weird. And personally, we as humans need to learn how to deal with people like her and not be scared or harm them just because we're uncomfortable.

While i think she was allowed to sample Britney's song. I dont think she expected Halsey to use the Toxic glitter outfit. And the "Everytime" video montage of the fight. Sadly i think Halsey overstep. There is a huge difference in sampling a song, but wardrobe and video as well is a bit much.
