This guy is my hero. I thought maybe my fascination and love of building natural Ozark stone walls might be a bit extreme. I guess I need to step my game up. Thanks for the inspiration Patsy!
the bird's eye view video of the sheep in the walls is just gorgeous. i'm in love
Amazing work and and an extraordinary effort by the man!........unfortunately Sky High your choice of artificial popsicle music to accompany such a work of art was bloody atrocious
evermore8888 love the music!
It's a stone wall building video. If you don't like the music, you can turn it off.
God bless the work
amazing
Excellent management of land, herd, and life. Well done sir.
I love Ireland...People are so nice! Never been in Co. Donegal yet...Mostly Wexford and Wicklow..Beautiful land...What a huge work done with this wall..👏👏
fantastic, I was born on the Island of Malta where stone walls are everywhere and still I never get tired of seeing the beauty of these man made marvels. Think about making one in your life time :)
Beautiful

the "day's work" stayne sits proud of the wall to show the progress when all's said and done.
That's a huge amount of work. Impressive
Excellent craftsmanship! Well done
It's facinating to watch his amazing work and effort he make. Never thought one's could build things with that tones of stones. Great work nevertheless.
Nice job. A pleasent feeling
great wall
I had to get on my phone to comment and say that is astonishing
Great Achievement ! Looks fantastic to see miles of walls built up straight like it once was, Must be Very Proud !! " but some could be tighter" !!!
I seen some these but they were run down and covered in brush and moss in western north carolina.
It’s a reminder to just get to work and results will come.
At the beginning of this video I said: "Holy moly" :) It's just amazing job. Congratulations! 👍
Well done! Compliments
That is amazing ! Its amazing what a human can accomplish when they set their minds to it.

Meu Deus !
respect
I see for negative reviews on your wall, so I took the time to look at each one of their RUclips channel and I can tell that they’re all losers, I think you made a masterpiece and it will stand the test of time I think it’s a total awesome thing you’ve built
Frosty soil in winter will destroy this wall in the more Northern latitudes. Sorry for my English.
He's a farmer. For him it's better to have a functional so-so wall that keeps his livestock in than a beautiful wall that's incomplete. In that regard his wall is perfect. It's solid and does its job. But to call it a "masterpiece" is a stretch.
you didnt look very far
He didnt build it
@@MaFed191080 We don't get frosts or deep cold to cause such damage in Ireland. This wall will have no problems, don't worry.
if he needs a labourer id be at the front of the queue the Irish very hard working people
Wow, where does he find all those stones ?
Like it
Where did all that stone come from?great job
William,
В песчаных карьерах вблизи Москвы встречаются тысячи каменных глыб из месторождений Карелии.
Тысячи лет назад при Всемирном оледенении эти глыбы были сдвинуты из Крайнего Севера до Москвы .
My brain misread the title as Pasty Maccaw. I'm glad I came here anyways.
biutiful wall
Well done! I hate to see it after a earthquake:/
that its a lot of work
where did all this stone come from????
larger rocks!
Mountcharles has the oldest still working stone quarry in Ireland, the area has beautiful sandstone.
I’ve always wondered where they get the stone from. You can be in the middle of nowhere and there will be old stone walls all around. Especially in the past before they had machinery, would people have carried thousand of big stones all the way up hills?
Quarries. Horse and wagon.

büyük emek tebrik ederim
does it have or need a foundation?
Not a single word of explanation about Dry Stone Wall Building
Where does he get all the rock???
I am curious to know: How long did it take and how many man worked to create this wall?
6 mins and 13 secs - silly
You win.
Where do you get all that stone.
You walked up the mountain in bare feet?
Omg 😳
How many years to build this wall ?
Amazing! Does anyone know how he’s getting all this stone? Is it really just spread over his fields or did he have to dig or buy it?
I would assume he’s bought it and had it delivered.
The landscape supply yard in my town in Canada sells it, but the older walls surrounding many of the farms and properties were built with stone salvaged from clearing the fields. Our home and barns foundations were built with it also, pretty much thr whole town is.
did he do it all himself ?
The question I always had is where in heavens name do they get all those stones from? It would literally cost millions to get that much stone here where I live.
They pick the stones from the field
They didn't get all thst stone from a field. That's all from a quarry.
Where does he get to much stone? This is not a hill. Does he brings from far away?
Can i ask why ppl use dry stone and not just cement it ?
The man just wants to build walls 🤷
Must be a frost-free environment! The stacking of stones without offset joints is no good in colder climes.
If those walls could talk....
Never let anyone break up Ireland whether political or other you all stay United as 1 Ireland or I will give you a big kick up your backside
Ireland ?
Is this longer than wall of China?
How long did it take you to build that?
Whot is the stone? Limestone?
tim bim Mountcharles sandstone
Was waiting for his commentary and instruction - ??
My back is sore looking at this. Bet his back is sore too.
Needs to work from both sides a bit more frequently then he'd spot the running joints. Still it will give the next generation something to do...
The cost of this is insane
how
@@jamiedoherty4517 simple, stones are not cheap at that amount
All these thousands of tons of stone where coming from? By the way, nice job! oops i found the answer!
where did he find all these stones? It doesn't seems he's got a rocky land. And I'm afraid he worked for nothing: dry stones basic rules aren't used.
Why does the ground not seem rocky? if its old glacier land you wont see rocky outcrops poking out its just boulders and rocks littered into the soil all the way down as far as you can dig. My land looks similar but if you come here and dig a 6 foot hole you will have 10 buckets of good soil if your lucky.
He lives beside the oldest quarry in Ireland, and Mountcharles sandstone is very nice.
Yeah, the vertical joints are quite shocking. Not a good example of craftsmanship. Nice from a distance. Checkout the nearby Tir Connal stone festival.
