Un versadero trio de tenores hubiera sido para mi,"Kraus,Bonisolli y Fisichella"!!!.Ahi si que se hubiera escuchado "belcanto" en su total dimensiòn!!!
Keep in mind that tuning today is higher, so probably this was more or less the tuning ... but yes, it's a half step down, haha! BTW, if it's going to be sung like this, it doesn't matter!
Looks like the tone is half of a tone down. Good but I like singers singing the operas in the correct tone! I can be wrong but this sounds to me a half of a tone down!
I find it has a 'choked' quality to it, really lacking in freedom. I've spoken to a couple people who saw his Met debut (they went for Sutherland, of course), they agreed about the choked quality and also mentioned that the voice had issues carrying proplerly, only really pinging out to the back of the auditorium at the very top of his range, and even then, the sound wasn't pleasant. I never heard him in the house so I can't judge the carrying issue, but I don't like the choked sound.
Not many tenors had such a relaxed, ringing and full upper register....Such healthy singing! Great fisichella.....
Fisichella, injustamente quase ignorado pela midia especializada. Grande voz.Grande Gruberova.
grandissimo...con una voce così drammatica...
Fisichella estaba fantástico y Gruberova siempre respetando a todos los tenores es sus duos.
SO SCHÖN UND SPANNEND KONNTE OPER SEIN.EINFACH FANTASTISCH
The 80s. WHen decent singing still existed. This is pretty good to my ears.

I agree totally with you... but is a half of tone down :)

It’s a semitones lower
For God's sake! Easier said than done!!!
Great duet, Fisichella is so easy and free at the top --- like Luciano. Madame Grubworm, however..........
Nobody eats Gedd
le pidio matrimonio?? :O!!
gruberova is the best
He is great but she is terrible.

Boo!
As always Gruberova sounds as if she's swallowing half her words and scooping the rest. Terrible soprano. Fantastic tenor.
It is good, the 'Boo' was very harsh, but I can't stand this man's timbre.
