I think the story is bland if you take away the general lore of Leauge, the character is bland and there's not much interesting about him, his story's main issue was being rockheaded and not open to his friend "strategy" whatever excuse that is, even though they hunted many times before. (the flaw of the character has no place in his general lore of being a good hunter which entails strategy and listing to people) and the redemption arc is so stupid and silly, if water is the weakness and his friend knew but didn't say anything because the writer's moral is "If only he listened just for 2 seconds "Water is the weakness" he would have had his friend and lover and he would have hunted the beast earlier with less damage to nazuma" So silly of a character story but the general Shurima lore and world building as always good, but i hope there are monsters in the region other than sundesk made monsters are actually threatening, if one normal guy can be called the pride of his city for killing the strongest monster they know 1 v 1 , that says much about how weak the normal monsters in the region which killed and limited the magic of being in a monster Hunter kind of zone
He was able to kill a Baccai by himself(sort of), so he seems like he'd be in the upper echelons of strength. It'd be cool if Necrit slotted in the new champs to the champion strength tier list as their lore is revealed.
While that feat is Crazy impressive, we don't actually know very well the stats of these New Baccai Xerath is making They are definitely less smart at least
Imagine being a one of the best vastayan hunters on your continent, getting dozens of trophies through hard work, without anyone teaching you, and then getting your ass whooped by a single, human-sized voidborn. Then there is K'sante who defeated a literal demigod in a 1v1, only as a simple human 🙂 Do people *seriously* don't understand how dumb is this? Mortal humans should be no match for a powerful magical creature like that, not without any magic of their own, at least. K'sante got the upper hand by exploiting the monster's weaknesses, for sure, but in the end he should stand no chance against a creature like that in a physical confrontation. That creature was at least on the level of a true God-warrior in terms of physical strenght, someone like Renekton. How likely is it that K'sante can stand against Renekton? No chance League was always a grounded fantasy, more so than for example WoW. Humans in this universe are just regular humans, they were never capable anything of this volumen in past stories. I really dislike it when the lore builds around a character, instead of the character being just another shard of the same story, you know, with limitations and all. In this story, the limitation only existed in K'sante's head, while that clearly shouldn't have been the case :D
Xerath is probably the only one able to restore proto sundisks because of his power from the original sundisk, he might even be able to do that himself just using the disk as a lens to not immediately obliterate whatever he puts his power into
@@ThreeFacedLiar xerath can only restore proto-sundisks because he absorbed the sundisk energy directly. The result of doing so is his current form, and not turning into an animal like Nasus or Renekton. He is straight up pure sundisk energy, which is why not even azir can do what xerath can, because azir is just a conventional ascended
We don't have the story of Nerimazeth up on the Universe webpage anymore, sadly. However, I can assure you that even if it was destroyed by the proto Sun Disk, it was rebuilt afterwards, and got destroyed again when the Ascended avenged Azir's death by destroying Xerath's birthtown. In reality, Xerath being able to make baccai is impossible, and therefore is a plothole. Even if something was left over from the Sun Disk in Nerimazeth, the shurimans/targonians would have disposed of it after the incident. We also know that the Ascension ritual requires the help of Shurima's "Gods", likely the Aspects in this case. The priests had to consult them before beginning a ritual
I love how K'Sante was made as a character. Being a representation character there's a bit of a stigma that they're poorly written but K'Sante's lore breaks that expectation that he's just going to be another bad character whose personality centers around his homosexuality. It doesn't. He's a man who learned his lesson and whether he was with a man or woman doesn't matter because that's just an aspect of who he is, it's not his entire person. My favorite K'Sante line is definitely "No monster greater than pride" because although the Cobra-lion was symbolic for his greatest monster the beast itself was not, it was the pride he attached to the beast that he considered his greatest enemy, not the Cobra-lion itself. Even killing the beast and using its armor as a weapon is symbolic of him defeating his monster and carrying the lessons he learned on his journey. Another thing I liked about his character is how him and Tope did not end up together. I liked this because it's so easy to think that some things are meant to be, and that doesn't just apply to love. The truth is, even though it seems like it was meant to be, sometimes it just isn't and that's okay. Sometimes it feels as if things went wrong, that you've fallen out of the world because it didn't end up right, but even if it didn't that doesn't mean you should give up. Look at K'Sante, even though he's not real he's a good metaphor for what it's like to carry yourself forward instead of staying stagnant. For him, his monster was pride but for some others it's different. K'Sante even has a line where he says "We were friends, then lovers, then apart... some hunts fail; some love stories, too."
@@Gidonamor I might have to disagree with that point. I think weather it makes sense for Ksante to be hetero or homo is dependent on the military structure of Nazuma. His lore really translates to the game.
K'sante was a missed opportunity to do the first two in one champion. He and Tope are so linked in their story that you literally cant tell K'sante's story without Tope
19:08 "My ancestors built Nazumah. No god, king, or beast could conquer them and none will conquer me!" That's great K'Sante, but have you ever seen what an actually dangerous being can do? Bel'Veth destroyed a whole port town by herself, Xerath obliterated the capital of Shurima during its prime, the previous Aspect of the Twilight sealed hundreds of Darkins (veteran Ascendeds from the battle of Icathia) in a single spell, and the Targonians have enslaved a dragon that can create and destroy stars on a whim. I don't think a single guy with a little bit of knowledge is gonna make a difference 😂.
Its pretty silly that the writers didn't already realise this plothole. If Nazumah (as said in his story), truly existed alongside the Ascended, there is no way they weren't a part of the empire. Same thing with the Darkin, too. Even a single Ascended should have been able to conquer Nazumah by themselves, there is no way a city-state like this would be able to co-exist with these demigods on the same continent for hundreds of years :DDD (also, the timeline is screwed up too in his story XD) Also, there were never "hundreds of Darkins". I'd doubt there were more than a 100 Ascended together in Shurima's entire history. The Ascension ritual was a privilige of only a few, exceptional people, who were worthy of god-like power. Also, a lot of Ascended died in the Void-war, but we know from the story "Twilight of the Gods", that most of the Ascended died during the Darkin wars
So in shurima, there are a lot of problems. In the west there are targon and xerath is there with the baccai, in the south there is the void , in the east there is zyra that want to conquerr shurima. In the north there is no Noxus that want to conquer shurima. And that's not all of it because the previous gold warriors that been corrupted by the void is become darkins
this type of video is actually both good for us and for you, not time consuming for viewer and maker tho maybe we'd both have to wait a little longer (which im fine)
Hm, how very interesting, Riot is pretty good with their Stories and you are a pretty good Storyteller, some pretty interesting info to the Lore too, i wonder how things will develop further.
Probably just a coincidence but with nilas's story, the 7 waters and the baccai being weaken by natural water, maybe there is a connection between demons, baccai and ascended ?
11:04 "But K'Sante knows that, should Azir or Xerath march to the South, he stands ready to fight." He can be ready all he wants, but he seems to forget that Azir is the strongest Shuriman Emperor of all times and Xerath is the most powerful mage on Runeterra. And that's on their own. Wtf is he gonna do against whole armies? All he could do is beg for mercy 🤷♂️.
20:00 It would be nice to have another battle on the scale of Icathia's, but aren't the only Ascended left for Shurima Nasus and Azir? Where will they find enough Ascended for a "great battle"?
The void will never become as large of a threat as it was back in. Icathia was a lush jungle area, much like Ixtal, so the void had a lot of biomass/life force to drain away and build from. This is why the void creatures were so many in numbers, they just had a lot to consume. Currently, most of Shurima is a lifeless desert, along with Icathia. If the void was able to consume something like Ixtal, well then that would be the end of the world :D
the thing that stumped me the most was why Xerath would even care about Nazuma, or at the very least if he would It'd not be to fight them at first but to have them go to all out war with Shurima
Maybe because Nazuma could make a Ceasefire with Shurima and make the odds lower for Xerath, or there might be something more interesting regarding to this
Jax better be in this war bro, he’s one of the only few champions that are able to kill a damn Ascended. Plus he just got an amazing redesign so y not have at it Riot
I have another theory on how xerath creates those ascended... baccai... monsters? Yes, you do need a sun disc to create those. But what is xerath but all the power the great sundisc had to offer concentrated in one beeing? So he could be seen as a walking sundisc if riot wants to put it this way. If they do take this route he wouldnt need a sun disc to create ascended. He would only have to figure out how to do it himself. I know this wouldnt be as cool but it would be faar more badass instead (and its a bit more far fetched but i think in the realm of possibilities) :D
i mean... if hes that experienced in using monsters corpses as tools, im wondering why they avoided giving him more interactions with jungle monsters with his kit
Still can't get over how he clearly has a buzz-cut on the sides when he literally lives in the middle of the nowhere without electricity. I bet this is another situation where we will see more early design sketches that show a cool fantasy hunter with furs and skulls and then some higher up waltzes in and thinks it's a great idea to turn him into lil nas
I know its a story so Azir will in at least some way win, But I would love to see another threat for them to add into the MMO with a Rebellion against Xerath.
My probelm with k'sante's story is that it's hard to see where they go. I suppose the think about it is that it's building up towards a war between nazumah and xerath/azir, but at the same time we all know riot will never get around to actually pushing their stories forward.
I actually like it in that it feels very self contained If he has multiple adventures they are likely Episodic and not Serialised building into each other, which is a good method of story telling specially if you do not plan on ever putting an end to it Think Sherlock Holmes
@@nidhogg8446 + i feel like its better to give some characters their own contained story rather than making them all build up to the region's main story line
K'Sante, average human with some combat training vs Xerath, a being of pure energy that created the monster Ksante struggled to kill. and they say Ksante is ready after one fight? I thought this was league of legends, not league of mildly talented gentlemen
You watched K'sante carry gigantic stone slabs and smack a big monster with it so hard that it literally flew 100 feet into the air... and called him an average human? I need you to think a little harder about this.
@M J what makes him so special as to do that? Nothing in the lore says he has some ability to be different from everyone else. Garen, legendary fighter. Driven, darius, Lee sin all fighters but I have to believe ol'skinny legs can do that because of training. 100 push ups, 100 situps and 5km everyday.
@@Captain-Comedy Luckily, I don't have to think he does it when I can watch him do it in his animation, where he performs the feat I described. He also cleaved the gigantic beast cleanly in half with a single strike and dodged attacks so quickly that it almost looks like he teleports. This is also reflected in game with his dash and ult, where he knocks enemies away and moves so quickly behind them that it's basically a teleport. K'sante has superhuman strength and speed as portrayed in official league media. So unless you have some source that is more reliable than Riot's official portrayal of the character then it's not up for debate.
@@mj5785 Its already hilarious that he is able to do that :DD Sad thing you don't realise how dumb this really is, after all, K'sante should be just a regular human in terms of physique. K'sante was a missed opportunity to do the first two in one champion. He and Tope are so linked in their story that you literally cant tell K'sante's story without Tope

Okay. Tope should be a Champion. After all, we need more Marksman champs in the game.
19:08 "My ancestors built Nazumah. No god, king, or beast could conquer them and none will conquer me!"
That's great K'Sante, but have you ever seen what an actually dangerous being can do?
Even a single Ascended should have been able to conquer Nazumah by themselves, there is no way a city-state like this would be able to co-exist with these demigods on the same continent for hundreds of years :DDD (also, the timeline is screwed up too in his story XD)
Also, there were never "hundreds of Darkins".
"You think "Empire" means Strength, Darius? Grow up, boy"
This has to be one of the most badass lines I've ever heard.

Ahhhh the Echoes of Longing theme. For whatever reason I keep coming back to it. Thank goodness for Gareth Coker.
What if Rammus was the very first baccai? The one that failed at the original sundisk?
Good theory
if he is, hes definitely different and more powerful. theres something special about that guy.
this type of video is actually both good for us and for you, not time consuming for viewer and maker tho maybe we'd both have to wait a little longer (which im fine)
I hope you could increase the volume with the videos because when ads come out I have to lower it cause it makes the speakers go boom
"Some hunts fail, some love stories, too..." Damn...
"How did you suddenly beat it after so long?"
"I sprayed water on it"
I like the comprehensive style video.
when the story explains his fight after he read the notes
IT REALLY sounds like a monster hunter hunt
Finally I can watch what I subscribed for!!
Necrit we love you
hey necrit. Thanks for this AMAZING video.
Can you bring that fire camp ending to your videos?
I really love that!
Hold on, the Ntofos can regenerate the outer layer yet he was able to carve a design on it

you should rank the champions in that list you made from weakest to strongest once the champions come out
K'Sante use pure Hung Gar!
The great character summary!
So basically, Nazuma is the Freljord of the southern continent of Valoran
Oh Boy that sounds like a great event in Wild Rift! Can't wait for the copy-paste battlepass and dating sim with Ascended in League.
THEORY: Next year void event will start and Bel'Veth will consume also whole city of Nazumah and K'Sante will want to have his revenge.
Bro talks about standing agains Azir or Xerath if they march toward his land but he had this much trouble with a failed ascendant. Good luck lol.
Such a wholesome love story… 😭 but i still feel bad for poor ksante, at least he has an excuse to miss toppes wedding lmao
Tope is surprisingly big for a long range fighter, cool to see :o
Nasus line got me rolling 😂
20:00 It would be nice to have another battle on the scale of Icathia's, but aren't the only Ascended left for Shurima Nasus and Azir? Where will they find enough Ascended for a "great battle"?
Renekton too
The void will never become as large of a threat as it was back in.
K'sante my goat
what if riot combines the speculated void event and the speculated ascended event in a battle between the two
Oh we are getting OVERDOSED on copium tonight
the thing that stumped me the most was why Xerath would even care about Nazuma, or at the very least if he would It'd not be to fight them at first but to have them go to all out war with Shurima
Can't wait for the battle of Shurima be hyped and teased to never be delivered
K'Sante is in my new top 5 champs. aside from how attractive of a character he is.
And that's how you make a good story Moontoon.
They have been reducing the vo of new champs so much because people whined a ton that they talked too much
I just imagine Xerath busting a move after K’sante’s comment lol 😂
Still can't get over how he clearly has a buzz-cut on the sides when he literally lives in the middle of the nowhere without electricity. I bet this is another situation where we will see more early design sketches that show a cool fantasy hunter with furs and skulls and then some higher up waltzes in and thinks it's a great idea to turn him into lil nas
this story was soo good so sad for my boi lol thought they would have gotten bk together , good for tope tho
I actually like it in that it feels very self contained
If he has multiple adventures they are likely Episodic and not Serialised building into each other, which is a good method of story telling specially if you do not plan on ever putting an end to it
Think Sherlock Holmes
@@nidhogg8446 + i feel like its better to give some characters their own contained story rather than making them all build up to the region's main story line
Basically Bow and Dual Blade Hunters vs Magnamalo
K'Sante, average human with some combat training
vs
Xerath, a being of pure energy that created the monster Ksante struggled to kill.
and they say Ksante is ready after one fight?
Because riot wokeness we know if k'sante kills xerath or beats him in a fight we all know it's just a joke
@@mj5785 Its already hilarious that he is able to do that :DD
Sad thing you don't realise how dumb this really is, after all, K'sante should be just a regular human in terms of physique. Him being able to match a baccai in a 1v1 is like if he did the same thing with the current, broken Renekton. There is no way he wouldbe able to just knock up a 5 ton monster (at the minimum) into the air :DDD
hmmm could skaarl be a bakay small thought that poped into my head it would make sense why skaarl is so thoughe if he is a bakay
Now that I think about it, League's lore needs more lesbians 👀. We have at least 2 gay couples (Udyr&Lee Sin and K'Sante&Topei) but only 1 lesbian "couple" (Leona&Diana). No, Caitlyn and Vi aren't together in the canon lore, only in Arcane.
If you think that Udyr and Lee Sin are lovers, well, thats a problem :DD
They are just really close friends, but thats all. Another couple you could have mentioned is Tf and Graves, beacuse that is actually canon
@tamas9554 uhhhh weren't they brothers?
@@huelads740 Tf and Graves? They were just partners in crime, you know, like in Bad Boys or Pulp Fiction. But as far as I heard Riot always meant them to be lovers from the beginning
@tamas9554 lol oh yeah I'm certain the Chinese company always planned for homosexual characters in their game from, what, 2009?
@@huelads740 Riot wasn't a part of Tencent back then :D
