Unique-Ness of certain types eg heavy slub etc, colours of pure indigo compared to standard shop denim, quality, design, weights, selvedge, patches, buttons and rivets, it all adds up for me. I live in a small quite rural area. I wear them for me, most people I pass day to day would not know I am wearing anything different or 'special ' at least to me.

in those areas they wont be able to tell the difference but a few might know your wearing something better than run of the mill jeans. if you go to a city even a non selvedge raw denim guy will still know it's something quality as more people care about fashion/style.

exactly this…i wear em to work and in a few years hopefully one or two pairs won’t be too thrashed and they’ll fade nice

on a side note. modern jeans u cannot get the vintage cut or the le twist which is usually found on unsanforized denim. alot of modern jeans if not 99 percent are sanforized which do not give the old world feel.

i buy raw denim since it's the cleanest pair of denim you can buy not even a single crease on the jeans. i do a quick light soack to get some starch out hang dry and it becomes semi raw at that point after it dries. And that is something you cannot buy off the shelf. if it is rinsed or one wash they are still softer than manually soaking. unless you over soak and use fabric softner. Do they last longer hell no.

If you’re a slim guy jeans are tailored to fit better than most ordinary trousers. If you’re over 40 manufacturers assume you’ve a gut and a big bum, which is correct in many cases. Jeans are a convenient way of buying tailored trousers.

@@bfettrules1239 Good label. Not especially for denim though. I'd say shirts/jackets/(some) other pants

@@sammyb1651 for real? Their denim is US made from Japan. If anything the shirts could use some work as they’re made in the east. Despite being made in the east, I do like their shirts but the jeans are really good so I’m kinda surprised at your comment. All of RRL items used to be US made but now it’s pretty much limited to their jeans, boots, shoes, & belts.
