Also, if you have "Cats and Dogs", and play a lot with "TumTum Teddy Doctor Playset", and then become a veterinarian, your sim will have a strong happy moodlet about becoming a vet :D
One of my elder sims was once playing with the block table. I imagined that he was slowly suffering from dementia and remembered his time as a child that way. He was happy, so I didn't stop him.
If one of your sims is in a bad mood (stressed from work, teen going through a mood swing, etc.) they will autonomously leave an angry note (sometimes several) and their relationship with the sim they wrote the note for takes a hit. I had a family where the dad was always having a stressful work day. When he got home, he'd immediately head for the board and write a bunch of angry notes. I had to give him the "Carefree" reward trait so he wouldn't get so stressed out and write angry notes to his family 😂
I think it has to be the wall light with the little ghost-looking character on it, but yes, it works and thank goodness! I got so annoyed with my sim kids running around terrified b/c the tentacle monster thingy under the bed was freaking them out😂
i also give each toddler kid bed 2 of the articorn wall lights, stop most of the night time problems. i also give them a radio that plays lullabies. they sleep without waking up. have a sim cook a gourmet fruitcake, and give it to your toddler for their inventory. it wont give them a full meal, but it will keep them from starving, waiting for a meal. i also open the fridge and take whatever meal is in there. i put it on the floor, and they scoop up a serving on their own. ive got a kitty toy in their inventory, they will play with it when they need fun. i also give them the slablet rather than the wabbit tablet. it has more on it then the toddler version. i also put a set of blocks in their inventory, they sometimes skill without being told. get the nanny and butler to help with homework, and to do fun things with the toddler. the adults dont seem to like to dole out attention, but kids and toddlers will give it to each other. i do family meals. the kids and toddlers get the most out of it i think. they love it. i put a bear chair, a frog chair, a grandmas love seat, and pillows around the house. the toddlers choose these to eat their meals on, and will curl up and take a nap on the pillows and grandmas chair. i try to get an adult to give them potty first. this way they can do it without the problems of waiting for an adult and an accident happens. in case you cant tell, i love the kids and toddlers. when the handyman comes over to fix something, use the cheat to add to family. keeps stuff fixed if you buy them lots of parts! my gray Still Plays had a girl with the handman lady, then triplets!
What I use all the time is the curfew board, journals, umbrella stand, decorations box, and thermometer right before I start the game play, it’s a must have 😊👍🏼 but….. I did not know kids drawings could be shared on the curfew board!, love your videos I always learn something new!.
I remember I had the owl night light in one of my families houses and it basically was one of the toddlers favorite lights, she always kept it in her inventory and played with it it added more depth to my game
I always wondered why it said toddlers only when toddlers can't play with it on their own. Thank you for including this in the items list as now I knw they can play with it if someone else builds an item as they play with that item. I also didn't know about the doctor kit moodlet that shows for sims when they become doctors although it's a great tool to teach kids empathy. I always include journals and parent board in every family for all of the benefits they bring to gameplay and character development.
Oh! I like the block table. I've never noticed that one. I have a couple of houses that have teens and toddlers, and I'm always looking for new ways for them to interact. There's not a ton of ways for a teen sibling to interact with a toddler that doesn't feel like babysitting.
I never knew you could get that emotion or thought I became a doctor after using the doctor set thanks so much for your great ideas I’m going to make my son a doctor ❤️
Also that lamb game table for the family. If the kids are fighting or you are going through a divorce/break up via scenarios a good game night can really help you out. You'll go from being in the red to remarried or building a sentimental connection with eachother. It is cool because you can have up to 4 people playing at a time. It was cute seeing my 3 kids and my sim interact together through an innocent family activity.
This is awesome! I thought I knew a lot about this game, but this video is stuffed with things I didn't know. Who would have thought that the journal would be such a deep object in its many uses. And I had no idea the bulletin board was so creative. I thought it was a decorative object only.
The journal is one of my favourite items, never got the block table but I'll have to give it a go. The next heir of my legacy just aged up to a child so I'll definitely give some of these a go.
Quick tip for those who use mods: If you have LittleMsSam's Chores mod you can set a chore schedule. For example if I put my teen sim, let's call her Julie, on chore duty for thursday from 12:00 to 21:00 then every thursday during that time Julie will autonomously clean up messes, clean dirty plates, take out the garbage etc. Sims on chore duty also get a small buff saying "It's chore day" or something like that. This doesn't really add to their mood, it just notifies the player that that sim's chore duty has started.
I LOVED this video and hope you do more for other packs. I use all these items but I still learned things I never did. Definitely inspired me to use them more
@@PeteyPlaysIt hehe thanks!! When u started my Sims channel (I haven't posted in a while but I have some ideas....) I was trying to pick a name and I, jokingly, said "I need to find a good one so I don't end up being Tim Pancakes" and then I laughed and laughed and here we are.
I just got parenthood and I regret not getting it sooner!!! Everything you me tioned, but I am also obsessed with the kitchen cabinets, appliances, and clutter pieces!!!
i give the kids a school project to do every day. when the school sends one home, they do 2 school projects. a great way to get their handiness skill up for teens, and get their mental skill up for kids. the better they do, the faster their grades and skills go up!
I love the scheduling board and I had the building table. I did not know that is how it works. I bought it when my Sims kids were children not toddlers. So everybody in the family, even when the kids were grown, kept building blocks but thats it. But that was it. Now I know I was using the table wrong.
Hello, I just wanted to tank you for all your tips and ideas to make the game better. Honestly some of these packs I don't have but I still get ideas from your videos, keep up the great work! Oh and I get to know the packs more when you do these types of videos so I can see if would benefit from having the packs, this is a huge bonus to watching your videos because I don't know exactly how every pack effects my game.
Starting a Club at home with the activities being the parenting and growing up goals actually makes the house function like a working home. Both parents help with homework and the kid becomes involved in adult activities helping with responsibility and manners. It is super wholesome and a better mode.
Don't use the school project often in my 100 baby, but I used it a few times. I like using it as decoration, I have the castle in the "kids room" next to the pop up book and under the train set near the ceiling. It sits on the steamer trunk TV stand in the half tile space between the bed and the wall that drove me crazy for not being symmetrical. The other past projects I have in the "science room" the good versions are prominently displayed, while the poor ones are bashfully tucked under the frog table, in case I need to breed frogs for cash.
once i was playing with my sims and they where going to the festival of light i think and them my child sim got a call from their *dog* that curfew was starting soon XD
Late comment again, but thank you for explaining the building blocks table. I bought it for my twins and didn't understand why they couldn't interact with it, but the parents could. I thought it was a glitch as although part of me thought that the parents had to build something first and then the toddlers could play with. I didn't have enough patience to wait and see so I sold it. LOL! I'll think about buying it again.
If you work on a school project outside, you can click on random townies walking by and select "Ask to assist with project" and they usually do, which helps you complete it faster.
Hey I need a help there’s problems in the site ea gallery sims 4 i need to know what’s the matter in the site when i enter in the site i press on the lots and households then i see nothing not showing the lots and households images so is there something wrong in the site or what any help or info about this.
I don’t like parenthood… yes its a good idea but you need to reach an ultimate to get something out of it.. they should add a lot more traits like if something is in the red they will already act more like it and when they age up it can be like: bit immature idk stuff like that
Also, if you have "Cats and Dogs", and play a lot with "TumTum Teddy Doctor Playset", and then become a veterinarian, your sim will have a strong happy moodlet about becoming a vet :D

The night light will also stops kids/ toddlers from having nightmares and give a positive buff if left out in a bedroom
And it keeps the monsters under the bed away!!
Ooh thank you so much for that added tip Erin :)

i had no idea you could rectify this. i just get the kids a full bed

I would have to agree with these. I do underuse the journal but I plan on changing that with my 100 baby challenge
Parenthood is the best expansion pack. No one can change my mind.
Game pack but yes.
I had no idea about that light! Wow, thank you, I think you're the most creative sims player out 🤗
Parenthood is just amazing!

I use all of these everyday and they're awesome!!
I've never used journal in my game. Now I think I will after watching this video, thanks.
Don’t forget the child’s nightlight! They can get a positive moodlet from sleeping with it on. It’s also just really cute decor
The Night Owl Light looks super creepy. Especially the default colour makes it look like a saggy lump of skin.
Thanks for the update! Great video 👍
The Doctor Playset can give a minor sad moodlet because "the doll is sick."
Him: *explaining the journal's functions*
Me: So much drama potential...
Does anyone know where that wallpaper with the tall flowers is from please? 🙏
I have a question I hope you can answer.
Can you turn off the parenthood option which influences the sim life? The character value part?
When you leave the toy light by the toddler bed they get a happy buff in the morning because it acts as a nightlight!
Very helpful. Thank you:-)
Mean girls burn book hahaha
thankyou for this🥰🥰😊😊
Thank you for the kind comment E M!! :)
@@PeteyPlaysIt i just watched your newest video and im so excited to play with all the cute rabbits LOL

My family board is bugged didn't have anything but curfew
I didn't know half of these things omg
Sooooo the only thing I've ever actually used is the journal. I knew about the other items but not how to use them.
Yeah I always struggled with the parenting board. It seemed like nothing happened when I used it. But now I know what to look out for.
I don't like that the maid will put away the night light toys. I put them on that shelf because I like it there!

I don't know why the night owl toy light looks like the egg from the Japanese anime series Berserk, that is kinda weird.
2 min 26 unskipable ad fun
Can anyone pls tell me how to make your sim famous without get famous pack
Sorry but you can’t, you could use mods but other than that I don’t think you can sorry.
I've been playing this game for years and I never knew about this fucking board. Embarrassment does not even begin to describe what I feel right now.
