I am reading Naomi's book "The Art of Falling: Freestyle Slalom Skating" and this video is the perfect complement to that book. Especially when she talks about the 24 basic pivots. Thank you very much for posting this. It is very difficult to learn these from a book and this will greatly help.
He's not showing off. This is a really useful breakdown for people who have learned how to do a couple pivots but know there are more. It's not meant for beginners in pivots. I think that once you learn the basic tricks to pivots (weight on satellite foot, point free heel/toe on center foot in the direction of the turn) you can probably learn more pivots on your own, you just need to see someone doing it once or twice as you are learning. To learn how to do pivots I recommend the pivots video ("lesson 8") by InMoveSkates.
