I Don’t wanna get on the, I hate Rob Lowe bandwagon but, this isn’t a bad movie. I liked the guy who played the villain. He played it two-dimensional. He obviously does care about the people he likes. There was one scene were the French guys wanted to double-cross the funeral guy who had 5% commission coming his way. The villain guy wouldn’t sell him out. Also, the villain guy clearly didn’t want to kill Rob Lowe’s gf. It was self-defense. That dumb move got her killed. I liked the movie.

Jack Higgins' is good writer and similar to Alister McLean. Some of his novels pictured and "Eagle has Landed' is a good movie, where Sean Dillon appears first. Both writers write about second world war time in many novels.

Now the liberals live in sanctuaries (large cities) comprising less than 1% of the entire land area where no hunting is allowed. They know they are safe as long as they stay inside those areas.
Hats off to Rob Lowe for playing what could've been an iconic roll, but for the poor twist I can already anticipate coming after 20 minutes. It had everything; Intrigue, production value, believable dialogue and motivations. Before I watch the rest of the film I'm willing to bet at some point 'corporate' stepped in and ruined it.
I think you are thinking about John List. There is a film about it on yt but I can't remember the name of it. Spooky spooky guy. Wipes out his family and disappears only to start a new family under another name.
No plot, nothing good about this movie. What a let down. However, first time I had seen Rob Lowe play this kind of a role and although again the movie left a lot to be desired, I think Rob Lowe did his best, but, it was very UNNATURAL for him.
