[DayZ] How to fix the PBO issue for modded servers

- Almost always fixes the PBO issue.
DZSA Launcher: dayzsalauncher...

If anyone's still having problems where the DZSALauncher wont download the required mods when they press play, here's what I did, make sure you completely delete the mods out of your recycle bin, and then if that doesn't work reinstall DayZ. I did both and now it works, not sure if I even had to reinstall the game or not.

yup. How all tutorials should be done. They often spend way too much time ranting. Ive seen tutorials with same amount of steps take upwards of 15-20 minutes.

You're the man! I've spent several hours working on this. Even went as far as to try swapping ram slots per a suggestion of a Microsoft engineer. The only thing I hadn't tried is completely starting fresh with the stand alone launcher.

This didn't work for me, when I try to join its telling me that I have mods downloaded that I've completely cleared from my computer, including from the recycle bin. I have no idea what to do

When i went to join a server after removing all the files and etc, it just didn't even bring up a mod list just open dayz straight away??

@@user-sy9ur6of8t justhad this happen to me, u want to make a list of all the mods and manually download them from the steam workshop, takes a little while but it works

close steam and then press play again, then the mod will start.
This completely wrecked my game. lol Apparently files/settings have changed.

@@tizzy248 In your files folder click on the "view" menu on the top part of the browser, then select "show hidden elements" on. Files such as the !Workshop folders are hidden unless this feature is activated

when i click on the server that i want to play on, an error happens telling me "please set the Dayz executable location in settings" any ideas on how to fix this?

u have to install the launcher on the same drive as your dayz
Make sure you use DayZSA launcher. If you find a server of your liking it automatically downloads the mods needed.

Not sure how to message you, but I did everything twice and still having the same issue. This only happens when my laptop dies from discharge if that helps.
It's a bit of a pain in the ass, but at least this method works.

@@classic8784 Try removing the mod in DZSA and downloading it from the workshop instead
After it downloads the mods it just sits there. the game is not starting? What am i doing wrong?
Didnt have to remove all i just unsubscribed from mods, did an integrity check on steam and worked fine! good video though thank you for the help!

its just because you are missing the depecies or whatever just go to ur dayz this and you might have missing things on the workshop that u havent subscribed too
why when i click on the server i load in and get connection error back to the menu and its trying to download mods for a different server. also when i open dayzsa and try to click the server i want to play on it doesnt load or download anymods, it just launches the game
I re downloaded dayz launcher and qhenni click on play it loads up the game and doesnt show me any mods that I need but then asks for mods ingame

I downloaded DZSA Launcher from their website and I am not able to use it. When I open it, a statement pops say "Downloading server list". After a minute of loading the program presents me with an error, "There was a problem downloading the server list: A task was canceled." I am in dire need of assistance because I was looking forward to getting into this game.

Maan it didn't work. It just opens up dayz right away with no option to install mods then it gives me an error thing saying (file not found: 78833489\addons\cocas_novehicledamagemodex|
my pc doesnt show a !workshop file. ive unhidden all my files but ive had a rough past with steam and having to delete and reinstall it a couple times. the file never came back. any tips maybe?

Eryc Laflamme Go to your steam folder, to Steamlibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\workshop. Delete the folder called 221100
pls try to get back to me still trying a day later and my dzsa launcher doesnt show in my local files really stuck :/ ....
i downloaded tons of mods from trump s wall, but when i launch the server it still tells me that its missing all those mods... and nothing is downloading...
to me, same server same error.
i had that problem, to solve it i needed to do a clean install of steam and after dayz and the mods, make sure after you uninstall dayz and then steam! if you can't install steam on your hdd/ssd there is some corrupted file, ccleaner fixes it!
Another thing, do you know how to zoom in while i'm running or walking? i've tried to press scroll wheel and did nothing

Any idea how to fix being kicked from any server and getting this message (BattlEye: Admin kick (Using a VPN/Proxy)) I have never used a VPN and made sure i didnt have one, any help would be great!

A big point missing don't forget to set path via DayzSA launcher. It was my inicial problem for the PBO

I got problem with server version, i just get kicked off everytime..
it didnt auto install mods for me had to do it via normal launcher
Keeps saying don't have the vppadmin tools downloaded. I just been playing the fking thing
did all these steps but it still starts up my dayz. so i now have no mods and am unable to install them with the dayzsa launcher...

@@Penzxi yes... go to dayz sa launcher -> settings -> synchronise all steam workshop items (or something that is like that...) than it will check all your mods and you should be good...

do you have any idea what causes day to insta crash when loading any server via dzsa launcher? can connect to public servers no issue just anything via launcher
Richy Add launch parameters to the launcher. For example If you have 8gb ram then I would recommend allocating 6gb. Instant crashes are just caused when maximum memory limit is exceeded.
@@tomatocumber2512 Tried that, full reinstalled steam DZSA launcher all mods (it loaded in for about 5 mins then crashed at thsi point) now my friend is back to just insta crash on the first load up.
Richy have you tried going to the DayZ settings file? It should be located in my documents. You can adjust the scene complexity and other video settings. You can always adjust it back after but if you heavily reduce the stress on your pc when initialising then it should load in easier.

just uninstall and reinstall dayz SALauncher and verify dayz folders after..
so you dont need to reinstall all the mods...lol
