Thank you for the in depth review!

I agree with you on the sound. In fact, I came onto youtube to check for typing tests to compare! I swap between really light linears and Zealios (both v2 and v1 redux). They're all so loud. Interestingly, when I loosen the four screws holding the plates together, the sound changes dramatically. But then the screws loosen more and more over time and need to be periodically tightened. When you guessed that the loudness had to do with the unified plates, I thought about the loose screw trick, which seems to back you up on that.

Nice! Yeah, I've had a lot of boards like this (YMDK Wings, Tokyo60, etc) and they're all crazy loud. I run silent switches in mine and now it just sounds like a normal keyboard lmao.

Fantastic review, love these split boards. Definitely gonna order one to give it a real try instead of just using my hhkb forever.

Awesome! I will admit the Lulu fully built out is quite expensive so you could also try something like a Lulu PCB and a Lily58 case if it's a bit much to see if you enjoy this kind of layout. I believe they should be compatible

@@NaoKeysVT Will do thank you for the recommendation. Perfect compromise.

Awesome review 👏. It has been a year since your review and I'm wondering: 1) Is Via supported now? 2) Has the Peg software improved? Or are you still using QMK?
    Cheers.

I'm still using QMK. I don't really change around keymaps/firmware a lot so it worked out for me.
It does look like there's still a handful of issues with Peg/KMK after taking a peek at the Boardsource Discord.

Do you know where to buy a wrist rest for that type of case or an external one for the tenting kit, planning to buy the pure case because rn I have a lily58 with a 3D printed low profile case but for me it seems a little to fragile but it was cheap

The only thing that comes to mind is the Lulu specific wrist rest :/
I don't know of much that would work for the Lily58 since it's one of those boards that are pretty much one of a kind.

I'm not sure how well it would work for this board specifically, but I bought the angry miao hover for a different board that I had and I really enjoy them. They seem to be out of stock on their website, I'm not sure if they will be restocked. I bought mine off of someone on the discord sever that had them. If they look interesting to you, it might be worth checking it out.
