I always get thrown off by the great lakes just not being on the map. Makes it a lot harder to place where those states are when looking at cities. Heck I live in that area and without the lakes I can't honestly tell you which state Kalamazoo is in. It's also always interesting to hear your little sports trivia whenever a certain city pops up. I know absolutely nothing about sports so it just baffles me how you could know all this 😂 Then again I'm sure people think the same about me and all my weird biology knowledge. Whatever interests you, right?
Money wise... those very very short flights which are basically the same length as the plane, you could upgrade to size 5 instead of six, given that the turn around is so fast, you'd save 1600 a pop.
I was thinking as you said about france that you can upgrade all the airports right away to 500 or 1000 capacity because even if the routes change the airport won't and that way you may avoid losing so much money and might get to upgrades faster
I’ve loved doing my own string challenge, but I’ve also been doing a free play where I form triangles between cities with the flight paths (basically having no routes that cross over each other). It’s been pretty fun, and you make money super fast, since every city is essentially their own regional hub. I also never imagined having a map where the Azores are the most important cities on a game but it literally connects 4 continents
Kalamazoo is a lovely little city in south west Michigan with great breweries! There actually is a cool fireworks/balloon festival there in the summer. Definitely a great stop on any road trip through the state.
Travelling within the country? Remember your passport as you will be leaving the country to get there. The string challenge, a way to increase the percentage of people in the world who own a passport.
You should upgrade the airport before the plane because the passengers will disappear if they arrive and there’s no place for them. This will lose you the chance to make money from them
@20:18 Former Texan here. Oddly enough, the area that is called North Texas is centered around Dallas, much further south. Amarillo is in the Panhandle
@@S2isDrawingDead Technically yes, the lands officially owned by the original Republic of Texas did not include the Panhandle. I couldn’t find anything on the history of the term North Texas though so I’m not sure if that is related
Cities Between Portland and Sacramento; Salem, Eugene, Roseburg, Grants Pass, Medford, Yreka, Weed, Eureka, Redding, Red Bluff, Corning, Orland, Willows, Williams and Woodland!
Hey, great vid as always, but just in my opinion, I would care about the city/country closed, because as you can see at 20:08 there are a lot of red cities but green planes, so it means because you ignored the closes city, all of the traffic shut down and now you earn less money than usual.
I wonder what triggered the American cities to start showing up again. In my play through I am still baffled at the lack of American cities, and many of the smaller ones you've gotten I didn't even know were in the game. This is in my free play "all capitols connected to all other capitols" game, so it's been a slow grind for me as well. Shockingly efficient, even with many of the routes only having 1 plane.
To me it feels like it changes to the newest country opened as the priority for new cities - but if there arent any left, or very few, it goes back to the previous country. I did leave my game (once i unlocked all of africa) running for hours and it felt like after a while it stopped giving me new cities (though i did open up a LOT)
I think "West Indies" are used mostly to describe the Caribbean Islands to the South/Southeast of Puerto Rico. Including Puerto Rico to Cuba would be "Caribbean". Also, This is crazy and nuts and your pateience is insane. On an airport thought: if you upgraded to 1000 or 3000 then would you be overloading at any time when a loaded 600 comes in? Also, Are there any Ground/house rules you are required to follow? Are plane paths allowed to intersect? E.g.: I wrapped London and did a London-Belgium link which overlapped Dover-Portsmouth (ish) Evansville is in Indiana on the Ohio River border with Kentucky. That Peoria (central US) is in Illinois. To be picky, Amarillo is in the panhandle of Texas. For some reason "North Texas" is between Dallas and Oklahoma.
I hope you don't take offense to this, but I fall asleep to your videos, usually the flight corp ones. Something about the chill gameplay and your voice is just perfect. I know it's weird, but I'm always excited for a good night's sleep when your videos come out lol. Keep up the great content!
Caribbean is the term most politically correct social scientists and historians would use to denote the 7,000-odd islands that lie in the Caribbean Sea area - West Indies was a term coined by colonizing European powers.
Since you unlocked Canada first, Windsor was added instead of Detroit. Detroit is right across the border from Windsor so they're almost interchangeable.
I'm loving to see all these new American cities start to show up again, rekindles my dream of seeing Honolulu pop up

That is a very good idea but long term I think he should put them to 6 but he should wait until he is getting money
@@nathanvanleer9467 Eventually, but short term, if could help a TON.
Evansville is a city in southern Indiana. Just wanted to let you know. Love this series.

ahhhh lovely! My new addiction !!!! Even Chess is on the back burner.
30:34 This is what I was talking about in the last video. The prices will be distorted, but I believe the eye ball distance is whats more important.
Love seeing the map getting progressively greener xD
Let's all agree, Louisville-Cincinnati-Columbus route is so satisfying
Lkk

Very interesting series - definitely look forward to each new episode now!

I love getting to have these names fleshed out with details like this :)
Travelling within the country? Remember your passport as you will be leaving the country to get there.
The string challenge, a way to increase the percentage of people in the world who own a passport.
Everyone knows that String Airline is controlled by Big-Passport
@Drawing Dead lol
Another fun episode looking forward to this
Ska-neck-ta-dee (New York). Evansville is Indiana, St Louis is on the eastern edge of Missouri. Scranton is also the home of Joe Biden.

Interesting. Did the size of texas change at some point that caused dallas to go from being the north to being more central?

It bothers me soooooo much when he doesn't upgrade the plains right away
(me continues watching)
Pain intensifies.
😭

You have crossing routes in Cuba, in case you weren't aware.
32:49 Fayetteville! The world championship cyclo-cross will be held there this weekend!
I assume you saw the flipped truck meme.
Can you do a nordic episode?
