I loved this. I like Tsukineko fabric inks to shade on fabric and for details. Posco pens are good as is Pitt pigment pens for very fine details. All are made for fabric, light fast and permanent. I have Dyna flo sampler, I haven’t used them yet. But now will give it a go! Thanks
I get that this is not a new video but it is so good. I’m not really an artist and I’m fairly new to quilting but I have in my head to make an art quilt. I’ve been taking classes in drawing and watercolor but still I’ve been at a loss as to where to start. I gotta tell you that over the past 4-5 months I’ve watched literally hundreds of tutorials on every topic included in the whole art quilting process. Today I found yours and I find myself almost giddy with seeing your process. I’ve watched 3 of your videos this morning and I have a crazy busy day! I’ll turn the tv off for now but I plan to come back and watch all of your videos. I’m so excited to have found your channel. Thanks for watching. You should definitely go for it with the dyeing. Dye-na-flow is available in small sampler packs on Amazon and a little bit goes a long way.

I used Dyna flow to repair a bad fabric choice in a 3d effect quilt. The hand is amazing! The dyed fabric feels the same as the rest. Thank you so much for showing the resist. I would love to try dyna flow on a bigger project. Your video and you art is spectacular! I'm so glad i found your channel!
Thank you so much. I’m so glad you found my channel too. I’m a dye na flow convert now. So easy to use. The jacquard resist was kind of pricey for that little bottle, but it did the job and I think next time the result will be even better now that I’ve gotten my feet wet. And you should definitely jump in and try a big project with dye na flow, why not?
I can’t draw, but I do have an old projector that works perfectly! I think I might just start with basic organic shapes. And hand quilt that first. And then the next one be a little more complex but not much lol
