Interesting to see how your tastes have changed since last year. In the future, maybe consider doing this twice a year. Keep track and do a Spring/Summer ranking and an Autumn/Winter ranking. I'd be interested to see if all of the palettes you think you'd like more in the correct season actually do rise.
That is a really good idea, I will do it this summer as long as I don't forget (ngl that's a real possibility because I have the brain of a pasta strainer)
I love palette rankings! But I have never been able to rank my own collection (pushing 40 eyeshadow palettes 😅) because I just end up staring and admiring them all, and wanting to give them all participation trophies lol
Glad you mentioned the Natasha Denona Retro palette…I’m warmed tone but told the retro is more cool toned so may clash with my skin tone but I think it will be really pretty on me…thanks for this video. Subbed❤
Not all cool tones clash with warm toned skin, it can be a little bit difficult blending out the edges though, so you can always start by putting a bit of your bronzer where you want your blend to be to help with the transition!
Sometimes it’s the most basic palettes that you love-my favorite is the pmg divine rose 1 and beauty bay new mood. All of these look amazing! Really thought I would not like the divine rose 1 but it’s all the colors I love.
I had such a great time watching the video! More than 40 min, thank you! This year, my nr 1 favourite palette is... Urban Decay Naked Cherry. It's the one because I've decided to pan it first (And it's going so well!) in my #panthatpalette challenge. I wanted to use it up, as I felt like I needed a proof that I can actually finish something up instead of just buying new stuff. And that palette tought me so much, I've recreated some looks many times already and it gave me the opportunity to learn how to use eyeshadow. Sometimes it went pretty meh and it kept me thinking "Okay, so how can I improve this exact look next time?". So I tried different tricks to get better every time and I learned so, so much. I think it tought me patience and sticking to practice. And yes, of course I bought some new eyeshadow palettes this yeas :D But now every time I do it I think of how much time it takes to finish up just one. That makes a lot of sense why it would be your no.1! I'm glad you were able to use it to learn more about makeup artistry rather than just buying products to engage in the hobby! I actually filmed a 2 hour "Thoughts on New Releases" video that I was going to split into a 2 parter and then I was having issues with my editing software and now it's already out of date...maybe an anti haul would be a good idea to catch up on that series without...that monster lol I'll keep it in mind!

Me too! I'm glad to find some from the brand I enjoy since I do enjoy the color stories a lot. The one I decluttered was I think the Mothership 2, it was the mothership with the green shimmer for sure, I just don't 100% remember the number
I really try to keep an edited collection and only buy what I think I'll really love, and I've noticed that if my collection gets too big it just makes me feel stressed and like I don't want to use any of them, so I do some pretty harsh declutters whenever I get to that point which is around 50-ish. I respect the beauty youtubers who keep a huge collection for reference and content, but that's just not me :)
I'm very surprised as well, I guess we'll see, but if I didn't think it had a really strong chance at staying there I wouldn't have ranked it there, a favorite is one thing, but a no.1? That feels special lol

It's so good! I've been seeing shades that look like those in other palettes so maybe keep an eye out for a colorful one!
