The Hydro Crème Soothing Mask is their best product IMO! I love the application.. it instantly softens my hair & bc I apply it in 4 sections, when I make my way back to the 1st section to detangle my brush glides through like butter! (I have mainly 3C & some 4A curls & my hair is medium/high porosity).. I prefer the scent of this line to the Moisture line also.. And if you’re watching this right now in 2024, Curlsmith products can be found in TJ Maxx & Marshall’s for like 1/2 the price!
You have a new subscriber here!!! I have been looking for a natural hair youtuber like you that discusses the product ingredients from a chemical perspective and how they may react with the hair, while observing the performance of the products based on their chemical components. I love that you evaluated them in a very articulated and intelligent way, instead if just how aesthetically pleasing it feels on the hair. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 You rock!!!!
I loved the review. I tend to favor the deep conditioners you speak positively of. I've been eyeing Curlsmith products for a while but I'll patiently wait on a good sale.
Hmmm Girl I have thoughts! So I have had the Hydro Creme Soothing one from the scalp recipe line (the blue one) and I have had it for 5 months and I actually felt like it was a better deep conditioner with heat than a quick conditioner with no heat. My hair was severely dehydrated sue to my previous hair care practices and this was the best dc I ever used to help hydrate my hair! I am actually thinking of tossing now it because I don't think it has a place in my routine of no longer needing to deep condition every wash but perhaps once or twice a month. Perhaps that's what I might do but since trying to use it as a quick conditioner I found it just sat and built up my hair and was hard to rinse off ( I saw flakes on my hair when I was letting it dry a but before styling and had to go back and re rinse it and ended up having to cowash it out. It leaves a residue on my hair when heat is not applied and it still did after re-rinsing. Also the slip wasn't really there for me it was a bit frustrating without using heat because its so thick!
Is your hair high or low porosity? I have low porosity and these masks did nothing for me ahhh at least I got them 50% off. Lol I was so excited for them because I love Curlsmith's gel but they were not it for me.
I’ve tried both and while they’re not bad I feel they’re overrated and way overpriced. They taught me to not fall for the “all natural / vegan” gimmick. I use Shea Moisture as my benchmark because they’re everywhere and these don’t even live up to those DC’s when you pay double for half as much, I give these products 6.5 outta 10.

You just made me save some money. I'm not saying I'm not buying the moisturising one at all, but I'm getting the mini version.
Great idea!

Wow, I haven’t had any residue but being as thick as these are, I can see it happening!
Curlsmith month😱. Very thorough review, well explained. Thank you💫
I watch the whole video so I know that you like mask with the extracts, BUT the oil side… The curls was popping especially at the ends!
Thanks for the comparison! great review ... but which side felt more moisturised ????
Each side was conditioned. 🤷🏽♀️
Just used the Double quencher deep conditioner tonight with their co wash
Great video 😘
I've been wanting to try this product..thank you so much for this review!!
No problem 😊

Low porosity at the roots and mids.
