The sand dune trails are a PAIN!! I totally feel you...I like your music choices in this video and those nose rings and lip studs are wonderful too! Hope you get to find a better spot and give wild camping another go next time :)
Sometimes a great moment on a bikepacking trip is to tell yourself " Nope i'm going home for a re-charge of myself ". You've been out , done more than most and seen some things that you wouldn't have seen if you'd stayed at home. another day for another adventure.
I camped a handful of times in similar conditions and in my own experience boars were never a problem whilst I was in the tent. They will smell you, find you stinky :P, and keep a distance. Consider this, you aren't food for them, and by "just being" in the tent it's not like you are posing a threat. But they can be noisy as hell, and their weight can be "felt", those two things can be upsetting at first until you get used to them.
You can double up on sleeping bags or have an extra light and thin blanket in addition to the sleeping bag or even a long tube plastic bag (can be made by taping together 2 trash bags), which will be very light and compact. If using a thin fleece blanket, you can pin it to your sleeping bag to hold it in place. Folding in half and doubling up the layer will really keep you warm. Alternatively wear a warm sweater and long warm pant to sleep to keep you warmer at night. If you still need more warmth, wear thermal top and pant underneath the warm sweater and warm pant. It is impossible to sleep at night if you are feeling cold. And without a good night sleep, you will be mentally incapacitated to function the next day. And your body will not recuperate either. A couple of sleepless nights and you are done.
Thank you for your comment. The problem that nights wasn’t a bad choice of sleeping bag. I had one + inner fleece. The main issue was the mattress with a really low r-value. Got a new one and now it’s perfect. 🙏
Mosquitos!! Tons of them today, I am in Canada. I will buy a sort of shell or hat that helps with Keeping them from bothering me. It is a kind of mesh, it is tiny and won't bother while riding bikes. Today I had to stop si many times to have the helmet off remove mosquito from it and from the glasses and from all my body, every 5 kms... 🥴🥴🥴🥴
I wonder, how do people can pack all those things inside such small bags... How did you do that ? Tent, air mattres, down jacket, foods, water, snacks, tools...
Over the past years I tried to shrink down my gear to the minimum and if I needed something new I tried to get the stuff with the smallest packing size. Unfortunately that mostly comes with a higher price tag. 😢
Bad packing becomes good packing. India is still there and you have your memories. I did Camino de Santiago felt down and did another the next day and another a few months later and now I want to do some more so …. India will return.
Hi. Ein kleiner Tipp, könntest du die Lautstärke der Musik und deiner Stimme etwas angleichen. Die Musik ist immer zu laut und man muss am Handy ständig laut und leise machen. Ich will deine Erzählungen schon hören 🙂
You need a couple of friends to ride with; you will feel safer when stealth camping in wild locations vs. doing it all by yourself. My parents know that I am solo a lot because of reasons they fail to not understand, but even when I will participate in bike touring, my mother told me to STAY ON THE ROAD (more access to help, if when needed) and a Father who says that I should also ride with another person for that extra back up, but obtaining and finding a trustworthy friend is very hard.
@@Rerouting_ That counts for me too: love being with friends, but often the failure of fitting agenda for everyone results in no trip at all. So we often set the agenda and hope to maintain it, but then it ends at setting off alone! Most of the time I don't mind...
Being down - remember your out in the woods and many of your friends are in the office . What’s not to like 👍.
Wonderfully polished content and well narrated. Looks like some great cycling trails, can't wait to see some more.
3:29 My entire life summarised in ten seconds.
Your videos are just so addictive, makes me want to get on my bike and go cycling!
Thank you so much!

Yes, would like to see how you've set up your bag.
All the best for Germany!

@@Rerouting_ great! Likewise, I enjoy my weekly gravel bike trips here in Philippines on a 37-degree, 80% humidity. 🌤️🌤️ safe travels always !

Hi. Welches Zelt von MSR nutzt du denn?
Ich hab das Hubba NX für 1 Person und bin sehr zufrieden bisher. Ist allerdings auch erst das 2. Jahr in Benutzung

I ride a 8bar Mitte gravel bike.

Oh of course I have cycling friends and do camping with them as well😄 but I love to be on my own the most.
