Like all reviews they will never just say it, they are spectacular trail sleds! Are they great mountain sleds no they are heavy but powerful, for those who love this combo bravo. They last forever. I have two I bought in 1997 that run great and I love them. I have two Vipers 2002, and 2004, and I have a 2005 Vector I love this sled. I am planning on finding a nice Apex soon. They will last forever.
Firstly: That might be the best looking Winder ever. Secondly: power steering on the XTX and the return for one last hurray of the MTX are both welcome additions.
Could have updated the gauge, at least. I will miss yamaha. I have owned three. Sxr 600, fx nytro 40th and the sr viper. I even did the tour at thief river during the sr viper build.
I think Yamaha's collaboration with Arctic Cat was good for Cat but bad for Yamaha. The Sidewinder is a great performer, but it does not have the build quality or durability of an Apex.Unfortunately, all good things come to an end and the writing was on the wall a few yrs ago imo
So cat has confirmed the 998 is avaiable post 2025? I read yamaha was completely out after 2025 and the strategic agreement was ending. I still hope it makes it into the catalyst but am not holding my breath. we will probably go backwards and get a twin with a turbo.
I think it will hurt yamaha more then they think currently, once buyers switch brands so will their other toys. However if we continue to have winters like we just had then I guess they were right. I wanted final edition but cant justify that kind of money to look at it all winter wishing for snow.
I could see your point but I don’t agree. I already ride a Skidoo mxz, but my YXZ sxs will not be going anywhere. It is too reliable and has not cost me much over the years for the fun it offers. Ya it’s not the fastest or the newest tech now but damn it will probably put last anything else out on the trail from 2018. I couldn’t see myself buying a Polaris or Canam sxs anytime soon with the offerings.
@@aswan2140 They build great machines and they’ve been a part of the snowmobile industry for a long time. Sure going to be different with only 3 manufacturers from now on! I’m sure they wouldn’t leave if it made sense to stay.
The Blue SRX is the nicest of all of them
100%!!!!

Long live YAMAHA!

Wow. They went all out for the grand finale.
Too bad they couldn't have invested In retro graphics to celebrate their past, instead of keeping these
Yep. Totally agree.

What about the sled you are riding
shoulda saved the red/white for last...😔
Very sad Yamaha is ending the snowmobiles
I get it but, besides the SRX the graphics choices are pretty LAME!!!
Yep. 100%. Lame as hell. Management didn't even care enough to honor their heritage.
I think yamaha is making a huge mistake by exiting the snow industry
I don’t want them to go but I’m pretty sure they know what they’re doing….
@pajamatime5750 You're probably right, I have a 2005 Limited Edition Warrior and I still use it hard each year. I will miss them!
