Sauce Recipe:
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup rice vinegar
1/3 cup sesame oil
***1/8 cup to 1/2 cup peanutbutter
2 tablespoons chili paste
2 tablespoons sugar
Garlic and ginger to taste
EDIT:
After reading the comments the recipe posted on the site has way too much peanutbutter
mvp
Thank you.. saved being annoyed lol :))
I personally used less sugar and peanutbutter, but a lot of garlic when I made it. Turned out great. Glad so many people found the list helpful (had to dig through their website a little to get it)
events V nice! Yeah I took the sugar out all together and found it was totally fine without it! :)
@Anna R yes it is
She really pulled a 2 shots of vodka on us when she said add “a small amount of tofu”
you mean oil?
@@tomokokurokiirl It's a vine reference
@@tomokokurokiirl a woman said to add 2 shots of vodka into a recipe and proceeds to tip the bottle in after
@@crookedbuns the second comment was referring to the “small amount of tofu” bit when talking about oil im pretty sure they understood the reference
I don’t understand the joke, but I would like to.
"Small amount of oil".
Damn.
Small does not mean ¨as little as you possibly can¨. when talking about liquids, small is certainly more than just a drop, or a squirt, or a tablespoon, or a dazzle, or a splash.
Theres a difference between minuscule, tiny, and small. A tiny cup and a small cup are different.
@@dominicwalli Whoa there, I honestly think you're reading too much into my comment. It was a light-hearted joke.
I'll concede that small can mean a varying number of things... But honestly, who doesn't? Thanks for elaborating, I suppose.
@@ahnrho Lol, relax, i dont know with what kind of inner voice you read that, but i just explained what it could mean.
@@dominicwalli 'Damn'. That's a clean table turn 👏😂.
Yea, my bad. Probably attitude that I carried off from work. Have a great evening 👍
The correct ration is about a tablespoon of oil you know?
Actually made tofu for the first time today using this recipe. Didn't have chili paste, so I used crushed red peppers instead. Used peanut butter for my nut butter. Was a nice spicy sauce, very delicious!
thanks for the tip im going to use the same thing all i have.
I cannot thank you enough for the no nonsense, straightforward education you just handed me. For REAL. I wish you could teach everyone how to make videos.
for crispy tofu cubes:
cut slices
press between kitch towels
cut cubes and put in a bowl
flavour however you want
add oil to the bowl to coat the cubes
add starch and stir until every cube has a thin layer of oil/starch batter
fry with a little bit of oil until super crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside
The result is crispier and not as dried out as the crispy versions shown in the video.
wdym starch?
@@scrappycoco3641 i think corn starch?
Starch lol. Narrrr I'm good.
You know, even though i'm not vegan I'm always looking to bring more variety into my diet, so I'm going to save this video and try making some tofu next week. :)
How'd it go??
What does this have to do with being vegan? Tofu isn't a vegan exclusive food.
RaineTCG “even though im not vegan” implies that she thinks its vegan exclusive dumbass
RaineTCG tofu originated in china and has been eaten for years before being vegan was common
Same!
Secret top tip : freeze your pressed dofu for a day or two before use - it becomes a little less soft still, and porous (like a sponge) to soak up your sauce : )
Yes, I was going to suggest the same. It can be crispy on the outside and soft and spongy on the inside - like you get in a restaurant.😋
Should I freeze the tofu before pressing it or after?
@@CHANELRAY105 I need to know this tooo lol
@@CHANELRAY105 after! The next day let the tofu thaw out and then press it again
this is an awesome reply section omg thankyou for the advice!
cover it in a thin layer of cornstarch before you fry it... then come back and thank me.
thank you
Thx
Why would I wanna throw cornstarch in the garbage as well?
Necrobadger it actually works
Cornstarch or cornflour?
love how u talk 😭 most tutorials make me feel dumb but this was v much from one smart friend to another 👌🏿
My goodness! You fit so much into less than 5 minutes! This was a wonderful video!

I'm so excited! I've had so many fails with Tofu but I can tell by your TONE you know what you're doing.
This video was SO informative THANK YOU.......I enjoy when the instructor is speaking rather than music playing in the background!!!!! You gave me a wonderful outlook on my tofu and I loved the different options you provided.....THANKS AGAIN!!!!!
Best video I’ve seen on the different ways too cook tofu. Thank you so much! I feel like I’ve never known how to cook tofu properly until now. Definitely going to try that sauce you use too!
Finally an amazing video showing great ideas for those as myself who does not know what to do with tofu. Thank you
love the scrambled tofu recipe so much. crumbling the tofu increases the surface area for the sauce so the tofu tastes so delicious. I added some sugar to the sauce and it really tied everything together for me. I've struggled to make tofu appealing to my palate for years but this helped SO much, thank you!
Finally a how to video on RUclips that gets straight to the point with no waffle and clear instructions. Well done and thanks!
I'm going vegetarian and needed to know how to cook this stuff! You were the first video I found and the last I watched! Awesome video and very informative! Thank you! :)
Newbie trying to go veg! So helpful- great explanation of the steps and visuals!
Legit, the single most-informative tofu video i’ve seen. Awesome!!
One of the best videos for tofu beginners, like me. Thank you so much!

I have never used tofu before and have no clue as to how to use it; so thank you very much for this video!
This is the most helpful video I have been able to find. Explains it very clearly and all are quick easy methods. Was watching another one where she said to freeze the tofu for 6 hours but I do not have that time in my day.
thank you!! my fourth attempt at cooking tofu on my own went so much better than all the other times because of your video !! im really grateful and next time i know what to do differently
I was happy to learn a few years ago after pressing tofu for 3o years that simmering it in water that covers it for 15 minutes does the same thing! Whew- what a great hack.
This page is so beautifully curated.
I'm glad I found your channel. Direct, and informative. Thanks,
Thank you for just getting right to the main points right way. You have my respect. Very informative and just what I was looking for

Thank you! Having tofu today for the first time and I'm excited to try it out
Cooked tofu for the 1st time today. (Fried, with a little cornstarch coating). The idea of it is so much more intimidating than the reality. And I don't cook at all. So don't be afraid... You can do it.
Ive tried this, it was really tasty, tofu almost tasted like chicken! But i didnt see the full recipe link so i just put the sauce ingredients without looking at it, it was extremely salty, but still yummy 😂 but i will definitely try it again with the exact measurements! 🥰
Hands down the best "what to do with tofu" video out there!!!!!

Sautéed and salted is my favourite.
Thank you! This is just what I wanted 🧡🙌🏽
I’ve never cooked tofu before and this was super informative, thanks for the video!
Thanks for this!
I love tofu, but I've never tried to make it as I don't know which to use, silken, soft, hard etc.
Thanks for letting me know which to use, your recipes look great.
great video! I've always liked Tofu and these options even make it better!!
Love this! Definitely going to try this weekend! 😊
THIS IS BEAUTIFUL 😖😭💕
I started the "plant based diet" about 4 weeks ago, and I'm really missing the "meat", but I'm determined to hang in there because the vegan way of eating is "very, very healthy". I bought some Tofu, but I don't have a clue of how to prepare it, so I'm looking for simple recipes on RUclips.
Thanks for the recipe. I really loved it!
A great primer on how to cook tofu. You make it look easy enough that I want to give it a try.
Great video! Thanks!
2:06 sauté is already in it's preterit form xD
Brilliant!!!!! Thank you for demystifying tofu. I know I’ll love it because the sauce ingredients are strongly flavored. Can hardly wait to try!
P.S. Didn’t know you had a RUclips channel. Been foo for years on Pinterest. Thanks again.
I made tofu today with onions and seasoning and it tasted like an egg. An egg that needed more seasoning haha I'm so excited for sauce you mentioned and I'm definitely going to try. Thanks for the video!
Damn now I'm starving lol
I would love to try this. I've cooked tofu and I just didn't like the texture. Maybe marinated it
Best tofu video ever!!! Thank you!!!!
Great presentation and Thanks for sharing such delicious recipes. I will definitely add these to my culinary menu. 💗👍
Just an advice concerning the sauce: don’t put sesame oil in it because once it’s in the pan, it burns.
I never had tofu. I always see it at the grocery store. Nice though.
Wonderful! So happy to learn the various ways to cook tofu!😀💕
These look amazing!
Can you still do a 30 minute marinate before frying or would it only work with baking?
You could do the same with pan frying!
Marinating time depends on the size of the pieces to some degree, but it no doubt helps in both cases.
I’m so excited to give tofu a try now! Thanks for a great video! Is the recipe for the main sauce on the website?
Yes, it is!
This was so helpful, thank you!!!
This was perfect having it for Thanksgiving this year in place of turkey. Thank You
What’s the recipe for the noodle bowl and the lettuce wraps?

Sautéed Tofu
Lots of great ideas. Thanks.
Do you always have to use sauce like that?
NO SAUCE!?😖
🤔
As they said, it comes completely unseasoned. Some sort of sauce or seasoning is recommended if you like your food to have taste, but not necessary
I always vocal fry my tofu
Too funny! Her vocal fry was turned up to 11
Pinch of yum I enjoyed your video and great job with the tofu. Please have a blessed day.
Tasted pretty good when I used the sauteed recipe, thanks!
When you search for Tofuu and you get this... 😅

Thank you for getting straight to the point
Best video about tofu quick and simple
“Add sauce”
Me: HOW YOU MAKE THE SAUCE??
Pretty sure its the one she made for the first recipe😊
She specified the sauce she will use in all the recipes is the sauce made in the beginning
Yeah that'll be the one she specifically showed how to make and said she was gonna use it in each recipe.
🥲😂
Looks great, but the sauce is entirely made up of things I would never have at home. Except the soy sauce
That's what grocery stores are for LOL.
Try soy sauce, sugar & garlic . Simple but delicious .
Sounds like a you problem. Now get your lazy ass up and get it done
This was a very informative and entertaining video, thanks!
Beautiful recipes! Very well presented! This whets your appetite
I cooked them so wrong lol it was so plain and dry even when I seasoned it
Add more oil :)
Just go with the paneer recipe💁🏻♂️ instead of putting paneer just put tofu in it. Try it & lemme know.
Thank you!!!! I feel inspired!
OMG TYSM I cant wait to try these recipes out because i was thinking about making fried tofu for myself xD
I think I burnt mine each way 🤔
ink it up! 😂😂
