No country is keeping the flame of rock burning quite so brightly as Japan. The number of great bands is staggering, the level of virtuoso musicianship is ridiculously high and the number of kick-ass & bad0ass female rock musicians and all female and women-fronted hard rock and metal bands is unrivalled anywhere else in the world.
I am really enjoying the stunned reactors listening to Dissension first time, they're never ready for Mayu! I've fallen in love with Murata Tamu the drummer, she is unreal!! She kills it on their X Japan cover.

If Babymetal looks young it's because it's a video from years ago:) They're 4 years older than Hanabie. Hanabie and Nemophila are like the next generation. Babymetal had their debut album in 2014. Hanabie and Nemophila both in 2021. I see your Motley Crue T-shirt. Have you seen The Warning's cover of Kickstart my Heart? It's their best cover but also the worst. Because it's just too good. They were too good to be doing a cover. It's was cute when they covered Metallica at 12. It wasn't cute anymore. Just stop. You're too good now. Make your own music. I think they realized that too because it was their last cover. At least, you know, a straight cover without a reinterpretation. When Disturbed covered 'Land of Confusion' that is perfectly fine because that was a pop song. Their version was significantly different.
Nemophila were founded in 2019. There are a supergroup composed of: Mary's Blood guitarist Saki ex-Lipstick vocalist Mayu ex-Disqualia guitarist Hazuki (also plays with Lisa-X) ex-Hölderlins bassist Haraguchi-san, and ex-Soramimi drummer Muratatam (also does other projects) Other than Saki, none of them had previously been with a breakout band, despite having amazing chops. Getting these five together did the trick-they are just exploding. Initially, they were just a side project, co-organized by Saki and Mayu. They started off posting metal covers of well-known rock, pop and metal songs. This is my favorite band! They are truly talented and they can play and sing any genre. Their originals are metal but covers go from Pop to Rock to Metal! Mayu's voice has a wide range and she can amaze you with it. THey also have so much fun playing together. Originals to react to next, I would recommend Oiran or Raitei! New band made up experienced musicians some still playing in other groups . 7 originals songs and some very cool covers over on their YT channel .No need to worry about pausing for copywrite they welcome and watch reactions .Not signed to a label ,doing it themselves . Try Raitie MV or Oiran in the studio there other single releases next. The other songs made up of live and practise room videos .You wont be disappointed with any of there songs there all great .

@@IVITURNERIVI There a super fun band always laughing with each other and have been nick named the laughing thunder Saki the oldest and most experienced is well worth checking out for her other bands like Marys Blood and her solo 10 year anniversary track Brightness. The other one if your into drumming is Tamu her YT channel is very good .Its a good idea to sub to Nemophila as they upload something most Fridays .Have fun and more Nemophila .

Just subscribed based on this reaction alone. Japanese musicians are on another level. Check out lovebites for some incredible guitar shredding power metal - Crystal lake for some brutal metal core - and bandmaid for the most interesting rock band for decades

Problem with not understanding Japanese, finding bands from that way can be difficult unless they’ve already gained some notice in the west haha
@@IVITURNERIVI I second those recommendations. Live is the way to go for Band Maid, 'Domination' is often the starting point. Though 'Blooming' and 'Warning' have good MVs. I'd also add to the list, Asterism, DOLL$BOXX and Maximum The Hormone

Why do people keep saying nee-moe-fila? Mayu said in an interview that the band was named a word that is a flower Nemophila is properly pronounced Neh-Ma-filla! Either way we know they rock hard! Love this group!!
