Photographed the event for many years and know the route well. Belle Tout lighthouse in the background @11:37 is one of the money shots. And they're not known as the Seven Bitches for nothing!
Ironically, this is Dan’s best video to prove the earth isn’t flat! Those hills looked tough, loved being able to watch your progress. Really inspired. Thanks Dan.
"Nuh Uh, it's a topographic plain" ; some flattard, probably. But seriously, if the run had gone to the East, the ground is very flat and known generically as "the Levels" !
Well done Dan. Our paths crossed several times that day and I'm behind you at 11:15 on your video. I wasn't too far behind you at the end coming in at 5:02:31 which was a Beachy head marathon PB for me. Also it was good to find out what happened to Stephen as well.
Very late to subscribing, well done. I'm in Fair oak. Only took up trail running so slowly upping the distance. Doing the Newforest 16km in February. I have a lot of videos to catch up. Very interesting and informative videos 👍
GOOD JOB! We have been following along and cheering for you. We missed you during your (very understandable) break, and happy for you to be back and running marathons. You definitely didn't pick an easy one for your first one back though... those hills look brutal!
Congrats mate, did it when I was your age and it's really tough. In fact I gave them up after that to save my knees and back for my 50s at least. Congrats
Yes, yes, it was inspiring. Thank you Dan. I have now done three marathons and I cannot describe how much pain I've endured. It's now dawned me that most people are going through the same thing. Only much faster. Keep up the good work, in the sky as well as on earth.
Love this race. I've done it 7 times and signed up for next year already. This year we ran the half the day after you ran the full - it's about a third of the difficulty, and we had amazing weather.
Good job! It looks muddy. Were they filming Peppa Pig there or what?!?! I'm happy that you were satisfied with your result. What's next? Don't keep us waiting. Cheers!
You think that's impressive? This morning I wanted another donut, but my wife wouldn't bring one up to the bedroom for me - so I had to go all the way downstairs to get it myself, then climb back up to bed. What an adventure!
Was a pleasure to run with you until you ditched me! Great time well done
Yeah! He should have offered to carry you the rest of the way. John Wayne would have.
@ yea what’s that all about? Just rude 😂
I was the tall guy in the blue vest at the start !! Was my first marathon, pretty emotional race but I managed to surprise myself and get 4:20
Great job Dan. I've done 7 marathons in my life, but none so difficult as that! Be proud!
Nice vid. Well run.
My sons are Crown My Run and we’re from Eastbourne. Know those hills well.

Well done. Inspirational series. Appreciate it. Cheers.
This part of England is so beautiful. I’ve been up and down that parts of the Shore.

Great effort Dan, awesome result and training paid off 🎉🎉👍🏻
Hope you enjoyed your brief visit to my little home town 😁
That hill is so steep, even the coast road said "Nuh Uh" and took a detour ! 🚙
not as hilly as hastings!

True but Eastbourne is mostly built on the Levels , whereas Hastings is on the Wealden ridge outcropping.
Great marathon for a comeback. A friend of mine, who was there, calls it 'the Eastbourne B******d'.
what an awesome route to capture autumn in England, congrats on your race time

Top effort Dan! It’s such a great race / route, tough but so rewarding
Well done Dan 🎉good time
Well done mate! Great effort. You’ve done yourself proud there.
Now that looked like a lot of fun, beautiful scenery! Well done, both of you!
WOW.. That scenery was magnificent. Looked like a great day for running,, nice and cool. Well done, great effort by both of you.
Amazing run, I've walked the Seven Sisters and that was enough, I can't imagine how hard it must be to run them. Really well done to you both
Good job! It looks muddy. Were they filming Peppa Pig there or what?!?! I'm happy that you were satisfied with your result. What's next? Don't keep us waiting. Cheers!
Well done, Dan! Looking forward to your next challenge 👍
Congrats Dan!! Good effort!
Great job! You must be so proud! 💪🙌
Well done Dan🎉 and within 5 hrs💪
Brilliant run, well done.
Inspiring Mr. RMD. Thank you.
Good job kind sir.
That 7 sisters bit is a killer
Epic! Well done bud!
Nice one!
Marathons are not easy, but this one looks especially tough. Congrats.
Congrats on coming in under 5hrs. I was there too and managed the Ultra in 6:18. Will you be doing it again next year?
Maybe? Depends on my other races and times etc
Do you think you would do any of the marathon majors, given the opportunity?
❤
I would have to stop for a bit and pet the cows.
Have you ever hit the wall?
Again next year mate?

Have you done the coastal marathon yet or are you still training for it?
This was it Bruce
@@runmandan7067 I should have known given that “beachy” is in the title. I hope you enjoyed it.
