Those 3 pillars wiped our co-op team twice yesterday. I spend good 20 minutes looking through your channel for the tutorial but then we just powered through the attacks with Jean healing lol. Thank you as always for the detailed and 100% accurate guides.
Don't use Raiden in coop, your teammates will attack on you. For the Final Slash, if you in coop the instant kill will only apply on a random player and others will receive a guardable damage.
Her moveset in phase 1 actually depends on the weapon she uses. If she starts with the polearm, she does the oculi moves, and if she starts with the sword, she does the clone and timestop moves. there's actually a way to dodge the electro storm she does in her human form, and it is to go to the very edge of the arena and stand between the electro seeds that fall

@@Quon It’s not about the difficulty. it’s about the waiting and not being able to just speedrun the whole thing. a lot of people dont have much time in their hands/are casual so having an interruption makes it a pain to fight the bosses.
I actually noticed that she deals some crazy damage to shields as well somehow. I have a 49k hp Zhongli and even his shield didn't really hold out until the end. I even didn't attempt to face tank her and did dodge most of her hits, but even so the shield came off rather quickly so I didn't notice that my ganyu was without a shield and was pretty much dead.
@@yqisq6966 No clue, but considering how much mihoyo hates shields right now, I wouldn't put it past them if Shogun gets a 100% buff against shields or something. I can stop multiple ice wolf charges with 1 shield, without refreshing, and shogun manages to get through it rather easily..
@@alchemy-the-animated-series I heard that your on-field characters def reduces the damage. Aka if you use Itto with shield you will be able to take 4x more hits compared to Ganyu/Yae, so maybe that was the issue.
Helpful guide. Thanks. I think the boss is still a bit too tough and unreasonable for non whale players at times. Even if they have good timing or skill. Example the mechanic where you are suppose to break down the electrouli, or get zapped. Electrouli has like 40k HP depending on what you use, you need whale damage or team to break it in time. I seen two teammates dump there E" on it and still couldn't break it in time. Other times I could use barbara it will go down. Other eletric elements can break faster sometimes too? Seem inconsistent or buggy. Three pillars that spread aoe damage on the floor, which is a timing dodge test. That's fine, but if you are close to pillar it shakes your movement and you get hurt regardless. So your dodge don't really matter. You basically are force to stay at the very outskirts of the pillars, but that also means eating 1/3 of your run/stamina, to resume the fight up close. It's a bad game mechanic cop out to drag out the fight and will abused in the abyss as dps/clock check. Great tip to attack Shogun in deity big hand mode, behind the back as safe spot. I notice that due to it's extreme large invisible hit box. If you try to do that when it's near border of the arena. It will automatically shove you to the front or side to get hit. This boss is new, but feels x4 more effort to clear compared to other weekly bosses. Yet the rewards are just as stingy or low, feels bad or a waste of time when the novelty of this boss wears out. I hope the game dev are fair one day, and actually scales the rewards up higher to be equally match the skill/difficulty of the boss. But I understand the rewards are low/slow at times so they can bait people to spend in the game shop instead.
You are truly a lifesaver. I've been avoiding this boss until now, but i have to farm it for Heizou. Our co op team got wiped 4 times yesterday while trying to help me. Thanks a lot for the awesome guide!
Thanks for the guide! As a boss, she looks a lot more intimidating than she actually is. I brought mostly healers to be safe the first time I fought her, but I think I'll focus more on damage next time.

I did that on the first week with just brute force I suppose, but this week I didn't remember what team I used or how I did it and I just got one shot over and over. Did it on first try after watching your guide, this was exactly what I was looking for. Everything is explained in details with visuals on the background at the same time. You couldn't have done better. I'm actually glad they made a boss fight with an actual strategy and punishing you if you don't do it properly. It's way more rewarding when you beat it. I used Keqing, XQ, Fiscl and Sayu. Not a meta team, but my go to team for the open world and this was enough to beat her just after the end of phase 2. I almost forgot : Thanks a lot for uploading this guide !

Thank you for the guide! T_T My friends and I fought the boss on day 1 it was really fun that we ended up fighting Raiden Boss for about 4-5 times on coop.
i’m hoping to eventually be able to do a no hit solo run of the boss. i decided to first see if there were any guide for something to look out for when i try study the boss on my own ! very helpful, learned a lot (co-op is nothing but numbers and skill effects, i barely knew she did some of these moves)
Thanks for the guide, as always! So this is what that Anti-Raiden Shogun training from Yae was actually for! 🤣 For phase 1 Electro storm, if you don't have any bursts/s up, no need to choose between inner circle big damage and outer donut smaller damage. Just run to the very edge of the arena to avoid everything altogether. If you have bow characters in the party, this is an opportunity to snipe her from afar for some free damage (Ganyu is best here). As for bringing an electro character, if it's sole purpose is for deploying the shield against "The Final Calamity", imo that's not worth it. That's no different (rather worse actually) than bringing a character whose only purpose is to activate elemental resonance bonus and just sacrificing him/her to take the hit. (Just be sure you defeat the boss before another phase 2) But of course, if the electro character is contributing to team damage, or your dps isn't high enough that you go through more than one phase 2, then by all means, go bring an electro. The window to deploy the shield is quite generous. Bringing characters with quick elemental attacks like Ayaka, Barbara, etc. is equally comfy.
As a sort of benchmark for how generous the activation window of the shield (which I believe lore-wise is assistance from Makoto) is, both Amber (not sure if C1 and C4 are needed) and Qiqi can do so solo. ruclips.net/video/7fFbmmnloRs/видео.html ruclips.net/video/gVP54e4Tkl4/видео.html Basically you need at least 4-5 elemental attacks (bar electro of course) within a 5s window or 1 elemental attack per second.
@@yqisq6966 I guess so. But they're actually quite the same, they're both donut + inner circle AoE but executed differently. Raiden's is a donut being gradually drawn (the inner circle is a safe zone during this time) before being superimposed with an inner circle resulting in 1 big circle whereas TM's is also basically 1 big circle but with safe zones alternating more frequently. They both have the edges of the arena always being safe zones. TM however has a separate attack it can deploy concurrently that sends lightning to strike the character intermittently (like Azhdaha's falling rocks while he is underground). All that said, TM automatically enters enraged status at 75% HP regardless if you dance around its fury-meter-building attack pattern or not which makes it quite pointless and equally cheap.
I agree that electro is not really important here. I was struggling with Mikoto at first, but I never had problem with deploying this special shield... Maybe if someone really don't have fast reliable dps it can be some option, but in general nahh
Finally a proper boss fight in genshin. I hope the game goes more into that direction. Also far more enjoyable then Azdaha or Signora bc you dont have to wait forever for the boss to change his phases.
It was not as hard as I thought, thanks to the guide. Problem would be if without shields, it would be a bit of a struggle. Azhdaha is still the hardest and most stressful for me.

There’s blindspots in the Lightning storms, stand on the outside, there are spots where 2 circles don’t meet on the outer ring, you won’t take damage. You don’t need to bring an electro character, any catalyst user is fine as long their attack animation is fast, Mona is recommended as she can also i-clip. The jumping rope attack can be dodged easily by standing on Zhongli’s pillar, Traveller’s boulders or Venti’s windcurrent. The final three combo the pillars do can be dodged by dash and jump immediately while still going forward. Any fast sprint like alternate sprint, Sayu’s E or Yelan’s E can outrun the Shadow Hands. Raiden has 2 phase 1s, one is with sword, one with polearm, if she switches weapon, lightning will randomly strike
just fought her today sorta kinda blind. the only advice I took was to bring an Electro character, but otherwise I used a standard DPS team. I have to say, I think Raiden's mechanics are so much easier to deal with compared to Signora who I despise for the Sheer Cold & the fire/heat debuff. for me personally, Raiden's boss fight was more of just a DPS check. she is one heck of a tanky boss, but I never felt danger when I fought against her. my only healing was Xingqiu & Zhongli's shield managed to survive throughout, despite my super scuffed build on him with low HP %. overall I can say that this boss was refreshing & not too difficult nor too frustrating.
I was blown away by that Electro storm phase and did not know where to go or what to do 2:11 . It was my first time seeing that after fighting her in the story quest :/
I defeated her solo but the fight took like 15 minutes as my dps is not that good in damage. Still, I don't understand why the boss raiden is more tough than she was in the story. They somehow buffed her hp, attack and shield at the same time compared to her in story. Yet the rewards are not as good as the difficulty of this boss. To be honest I have defeated her and can defeat her again but it seems like a massive waste of time for me. So, I will not fight her again.
I'm farming for Heizou, I have never defeated this boss after the story quest ends again. I was struggling with the 1-shot-slash, it is so annoying for me to deal with when she 1 shot 1 of my character, I'm in the heat of the fight, I don't get the chance to slow down and read the line. Thank you for your tip. Basically, I don't care her atk patterns, I can easily dps her down with my Funerational team, she takes great dmg from me while I take a little from her, except the 1-shot-slash. My dmg is big, but not enough to bring her down b4 she enters her 2nd phase.
Thnx for the guide, I finally defeated her (lvl 90). It is actually a pretty enjoyable fight once you know her attack patterns and how to avoid them. she is just the right amount of difficulty, she is definitely not easy and she can be quite punishing if you don't evade her attacks, though I would say Azhada is still probably more difficult while Raiden is in a close second place. So in terms of difficulty: Azhada-> Raiden-> Signora-> Childe-> Andrius-> Dvalin.
Really? Azhada never appeared to be hard to me. Since he's so slow and big I find it very easy to read his movements. WIth Raiden it's much more fast paced.
I caught a whiff of nostalgia, fighting this boss's level 3 with no food. With a party that I haven't optimized through 2 world level increases, it took me 7 tries to beat the Shogun - felt like my first time playing DMC3 Prioritizing dodging to survive instead of tanking or spamming food makes it so rewarding for me...
i didn't know the orb could be broken with a single electro attack and i got close to braking it with Ganyu but just hitting it with a electro attack to brake it in one shot makes it super easy to avoid and was the only part where i couldn't do without sacrificing Ganyu for it but now just be easy to deal with now i know how that bit works.
Thank you! I tried to defeat this boss with three of my friends and all of us are ar 57 or higher- we all ended up dying three times before we defeated her lol
Now we are all waiting for Yae Miko’s full and detailed guide! A lot of people are spamming theories, builds and pointless showcases (with R5, C6, weird rotations playable only in specific situations and so on), but the only one we trust is TSoul! 🤗
Well, you can kind of see his current build at the very end of the video: 4piece Emblem of Severed Fate, aim for Crit DMG and %, and Crit weapon like the Widsith or the Battle Pass one. I don't know if he'll try out other builds and come up with something better, but for now, this seems like a pretty safe bet for a good DPS.
@@GerackSerack For sure that’s a good build. But you know how detailed TSoul is: he always analyses every character very deeply and then comes up with different settings for team comps/artifacts/weapons. Since I saw a lot of people shouting their own build and meaningless showcase, I’m pretty much looking forward to see his “calm and deep” (read also “not clickbait”) guide 😉
Nice guide. Base on my current team. I didn't have a hard time beating it. I find it kind a silly about my team. Their main static are all about base on hp and their skill also base on hp and except one character going to be electro. I don't need to tell you who are those character are.
I use Sucrose, Rosaria, Barbra and Kaeya. No need for electro to destroy the orb thing as spamming basic attacks with barb seems to always demolish it as long as you start quick enough

Yet the rewards are not as good as the difficulty of this boss.
To be honest I have defeated her and can defeat her again but it seems like a massive waste of time for me.
So, I will not fight her again.
Normally all boss battles are easier in story mode to prevent players from getting stuck on that part of the story. Also, what is your AR?.
@@nstorm2415
At that time it was 45
Now it's 55
And now I have zhongli so boss fights are easy now 🤭
great vid, thx for explaining it in depth
Thank you for this! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
The electro storm is also called
Musou No Hitotachi
I'm farming for Heizou, I have never defeated this boss after the story quest ends again. I was struggling with the 1-shot-slash, it is so annoying for me to deal with when she 1 shot 1 of my character, I'm in the heat of the fight, I don't get the chance to slow down and read the line. Thank you for your tip.
Basically, I don't care her atk patterns, I can easily dps her down with my Funerational team, she takes great dmg from me while I take a little from her, except the 1-shot-slash. My dmg is big, but not enough to bring her down b4 she enters her 2nd phase.
Very helpful, cheers.
helpful as always. thanks
@@yqisq6966 when you face Pyro, Hydro and Electro that is suffering. Cryo and Geo is the only easy azhdaha form!
this fight felt like a mini Devil may cry fight imo.
I caught a whiff of nostalgia, fighting this boss's level 3 with no food. With a party that I haven't optimized through 2 world level increases, it took me 7 tries to beat the Shogun - felt like my first time playing DMC3
Prioritizing dodging to survive instead of tanking or spamming food makes it so rewarding for me...
This is the best boss in genshin impact I have already decided!!
Of course. Getting sliced open by booba mama is like dream come true ;)
This is very helpful, thank you!
1:32 Finally! I now know how to tell which of the clones is the real one! Thank you!
i didn't know the orb could be broken with a single electro attack and i got close to braking it with Ganyu but just hitting it with a electro attack to brake it in one shot makes it super easy to avoid and was the only part where i couldn't do without sacrificing Ganyu for it but now just be easy to deal with now i know how that bit works.
I lost all my food when i didn't watch this thankss alot, only 3 foods i consume whe i watch this it was really helpful
Woow thank you i was struggling today
Thank you so much man !
This is definitely the best boss so far the Shogun is so badass 💯
Also give us that skin plz MiHoYo!
Also we need to tell mhy NOT to nerf her. MHY has this bad habbit of nerfing bosses post-launch.
@@yqisq6966 Still seems good to me. Rewarding fight! just unlocked it wanted to see if my dmg on the shield was bad.
been avoiding this boss but it will happen inevitably
Thank you so much for this guide, it's really helpful
Dude I don't coward to enemies in genshin impact but THIS boss... Oh God... I fier this boss

Me watching this with Zhongli: *This is interesting*
crazy good guide 🔥🔥🔥, break down every move & how to counter it, such reliable guide man 🙏
I hated my first time with the boss, but I'm glad I didn't get any help first. I was aware of some of the patterns in the video.
Best explanation Ever!❤🔥💪🏽
Thank you! I tried to defeat this boss with three of my friends and all of us are ar 57 or higher- we all ended up dying three times before we defeated her lol
Coop in a nightmare right now, I guess till everyone figures out her moves.
TSoul-sensei, thank you for your guide. 😆🙏
It takes me so long to defeat her lol, around 5-10 minutes😂
Nice guide. Base on my current team. I didn't have a hard time beating it. I find it kind a silly about my team. Their main static are all about base on hp and their skill also base on hp and except one character going to be electro. I don't need to tell you who are those character are.
thanks for the guide.. was waiting for this :D Can you please do a guideon how to build yae?
Thanks. Didn't know about the electro shield thing. So much easier.
My hero! I beat her the first time through through sheer brute force.
Tsoul be like: I gotchu homies
Well now time to do this boss without taking damage, that same thing that i did with Azhdaha
And only use fischl
Now that's a real challenge! Raiden is fast!
@@fxer68 Ranged is cheating. Do it with Raiden vs Raiden ;)
Alrght, after i built her properly ig
U r one hella cool guy, this is what i rlly need since i still suck at fighting her, TYSM!
Thanks man, you cool !
I use Sucrose, Rosaria, Barbra and Kaeya. No need for electro to destroy the orb thing as spamming basic attacks with barb seems to always demolish it as long as you start quick enough
Thank you for the guide, however I would request that you tone down the animated text effects. My eye is drawn to motion so they make it much harder for me to look at your video footage of the fight itself.
Tldr: get good, killed it today in coop . My teams's zhongli and ayaka died when it had 25% life. Killed it with lvl 70 Bennet .
Yeah I died so many times but it's hell lot fun. Just hope mhy don't nerf her for no good reasons.
this channel has carried my account
I only have a one step guide: *Zhongli*
You can dash through the pulse thingy it's easier that jumping over them
Me and my friend doing this duo and screamed alot. Fortunately i brought kokomi so noone dies
