I'm impressed at how fast you're putting these out lately, you must be working nonstop. hope it's not burning you out and you get to enjoy legion more than wod.
I think Varedys is still loyal to Illidan and he did this on purpose to stay in argus watching the Legion's movements. While he left his weapons behind to help the Illidari on theyr quest. Sorry for bad english.
His ego probably - "I have no need for mortal armaments" Guess he felt he didn't need them and discarded them like a tissue paper. Ego makes us do dumb decisions.
Wouldnt it have been so much cooler if Veredis had been like "Arrrgh. Listen, illidari... I can't fight his influence much longer. Take these blades so that one day my soul may be free once again" as he was pulled back into the nether? Something to that effect anyway
Having watched your lore series for artifacts, makes me wish i played Legion on released. The questing and stories so far look incredible. Pity Warlords ruined my desire to continue.
I kept expecting a dialogue window to pop up after Varedis throws the Twinblades away with Kil'Jaeden going: "No, dude, wtf?! Don't just give him the blades! What the fuck is wrong with you?!"
Varedis wasn't deceived by Kil'jaeden, he was betrayed by Altruis. Altruis the Sufferer says: No... you must take this from me, ! I feel its dark power swaying my will already! Use it to destroy Varedis.
Varedis: Master what is this new power summoning meteors form above? Kil'jaeden: Nope just briefly floating that will only happen if you pick it up. :) Varedis: PERFECT!
Hey nobbel i love the videos theyre amazing i always look forward to watching everyday...your videos really got me into the lore of Warcraft ....(plus i enjoy the Warcraft 3 gameplay) keep up the good work man
wow... Blizzard had written themselves into a corner. "the character cant kill Varedis we need him for later plot" "What about the weapons?" "eh... he just leaves them for no coherent reason"
are u going to do a video about like all the main story at once? or more like a line of videos. with all from the birth of the university and Titans + sargeras betrayal, up to the very last info on wow legion. ?????
Ptach 7.1.0: We have now made it so demon hunters fly on cinematic screens since, ya'know double jumps 11:47 ? Also we nerfed shamans again for no reason
They really should have made the twinblades of the deceiver either illidan's warglaives recovered from a warden vault or maybe like killing the same type of demon that Azzinoth was. I was terribly underwhelmed with havoc's artifact, and i've been obsessed with DH's since years before they were a playable class so I was really hoping for something more fitting like blades of the fallen prince or doomhammer, etc.
Well i have to say the Aldrachi Warglaives' lore is by far more badass and makes them sound more powerful since Sargeras himself was forced to kill the Aldrachi wielding the blades.
was kind of a weak story on blizzard's part. "I don't need these powerful weapons to beat you even tho I just lost so let me l3ave them here for you to pick up even tho kil'jaden put a part of his soul in them because reasons" perhaps a better way to get them the weapons would have been he gets knock off a cliff and drops them in the process leaving us to wonder if he is alive. also idk about you guys but if I worked for the Legion and kil'jaden gave me part of his power I certainly would not just give it to the enemy Cuz I was throwing a hissy fit.
Altruis's title should be changed to the betrayer. He did more to help the legion than Illidan ever did. We're it not for this disloyal, distrustful soldier the legion may not have had the strength to invade so soon.
His betrayal pisses me off that he's even an option for people to pick. The MC Demon Hunter isn't some new Demon Hunter, you're Illidan's second in command, so it makes no sense for you to do anything but murder his ass on the spot.
Archon95 - I haven't read a book since War Crimes, but I really want to get the Illidan one. Only thing I know is that it goes into much greater detail of what Illidan was doing before his defeat so it probably talks about the Illidari and maybe a nameless one that we play as.
Nobbel87 1st, yay acknowledgement lol. 2nd, one question I've always wondered, is what is your average turn around time for doing these videos, and do you intend to do the paladin weapons soon? Considering your main in most lore videos lol I certainly Eagerly hope so!
Turn around time as in how long it takes to make them? I'd say about 12 hours all together when it comes to artifacts, 48 to 72 hours for general lore videos
Nobbel87 Only 72 hours max for the more intensive lore? that's fantastic time! I always look forward to 7.2 and beyonds lore videos! I got major respect for ya and prefer your lore vids over many others out there! haha excuse my fan boying out a bit right now :)
makes me wonder whit so many articful weapons whit so many dark story and owners who where slaughterd whit the weapon will blizzard release a raid or patch where you battle a boss or oponent in wich this weopon will turn against you.
I couldn't find Varedis Felsoul, even though I was already at the yellow dot. Your video didn't show how you found him. You just transitioned to a scene where he was already found and ready to fight. This didn't help me much.
Loved your vid though I can't help but feel like Blizz kinda half-assed this quest line. The fallen Illidari just gets bored and gives us his weapons? Seems pretty anticlimactic imo.
Evilmonkey gunman He's killed at the end of the Demon Hunter quest line. I'm not sure whether or not the place he was killed in counts as in the Twisting Nether. Maybe he'll be back, maybe not.
Defected, de-fec-ted, not deflected. To deflect is to cause someone to deviate To defect is to abandon one's country (or in this case, faction) in favour of an opposing one. Altrius did not deflect, he openly defected the Illidari.
I swear the Burning Legion invades Azeroth once again two or three times a week! Can we not catch a break? I'm watching Nobbel here, Burning Legion, sod off!
Oh, hey, _yet another_ poor soul who got captured by the Legion and horribly tormented by the demonlords. Seriously, are there any souls in the Universe that *aren't* damned to an eternity of torture?
They're demons, what do you expect? Besides, Varedis wasn't tortured by the Legion, he was empowered by them. Cartoonish? Not really. Dark? Also not really. Yeah nice comments guys.
Drakkona123 yes, being brainwashed into hating the Illidari doesn't count as psychological torture at all. "He was just getting an upgrade, thats all". How come you don't think WoW is cartoonish in artwork? It has demons, undead, and such, but they aren't drawn as grimdark repulsive as say, the Warhammer counterparts. Everything is colorful, not scary and repulsive. Makes the game a little more underage friendly compared to Warhammer and Diablo.
gcircle That's the thing I like about WoW. It's somewhere in between cartoonish and realistic. The undead are a great example. They may not be that scary looking, but for God's sakes you can choose whether or not to have a jaw and have their tongue flail around in the wind. There are some pretty scary looking demons too. I've actually gotten startled a couple times leveling in Outland and suddenly pulling aggro on one of those Mo'arg things. And lets not forget stuff like Kolorath or the Whale Shark. Huge sea creatures like that freak the hell out of me. And in terms of grimdark repulsive stuff- Thaddeus. I think that speaks for itself. Also, psychological torture is like what The Lich King did to Bolvar. What Kil'Jaeden did to Varedis wasn't psychological torture, it was coercion. That's kinda Kil'Jaeden's thing. Psychological torture is more in line with someone like The Old Gods.
wtf nobble when you got the Twinblades of the Deceiver , was you fliy?? when you got the twinblades *oh I'm just gonna glitch and air and not show myself*
That was some sweet, pro demon hunter parkour in the beginning there, Nobbel. :P
A year after your post, I just wanted to comment that I dig your pfp, Descartes
"He just leaves them behind for some reason." kek
dude veradis doesnt give a fuck
I'm impressed at how fast you're putting these out lately, you must be working nonstop. hope it's not burning you out and you get to enjoy legion more than wod.
I think Varedys is still loyal to Illidan and he did this on purpose to stay in argus watching the Legion's movements. While he left his weapons behind to help the Illidari on theyr quest.
Sorry for bad english.
Seems like a cool idea.
It ight
Wtf... so... Varedis beats you, then gets called back, yet still *gives* you his weapons? Wtf....
yea wtf why did he leave them behind
His ego probably - "I have no need for mortal armaments"
Guess he felt he didn't need them and discarded them like a tissue paper.
Ego makes us do dumb decisions.
Right?
You beat him, he doesn't beat you. Then throws the blades like a baby throwing its toys from the pram
I dunno, a good blow to the head would've probably put that brain of his on the fritz.
i play demon hunters and i still watch this nobbel you're voice is eargasmicly good.
Wouldnt it have been so much cooler if Veredis had been like "Arrrgh. Listen, illidari... I can't fight his influence much longer. Take these blades so that one day my soul may be free once again" as he was pulled back into the nether? Something to that effect anyway
You said it Nobbel : He just leaves them behind for some reason.
I was so confused when that happened lol.
Wow, the timing of your storytelling and the in-game events is so perfect.
Finally we get some demon hunter stuff keep it up!
about dam time lolz
You should do a playlist of the lore behind all of the older legendary weapons.
I love how the majority of the Varedis fight was in slow motion. Cool touch.
Varedis: Master what is this new power summoning meteors form above?
Kil'jaeden: Nope just briefly floating that will only happen if you pick it up. :)
Varedis: PERFECT!
Bubbles Yeah, he's not called the Deceiver for nothing. x)
Hey nobbel i love the videos theyre amazing i always look forward to watching everyday...your videos really got me into the lore of Warcraft ....(plus i enjoy the Warcraft 3 gameplay) keep up the good work man
Varedis gave us the amazing warglaives so we could gank Alliance players the moment they land in Suramar
Member the Twinblades of the Deceiver!? I member!!!!
wow... Blizzard had written themselves into a corner.
"the character cant kill Varedis we need him for later plot"
"What about the weapons?"
"eh... he just leaves them for no coherent reason"
Nobbel, could you do the Dreadblades? I play an Outlaw rogue and I'd love to know more about the two swords.
As a Blood Elf with Kayn, it feels good to threaten the Warden of the Dalaran prison. He should remember who killed his predecessor >:D
I hope Kayn will have more lore in the future .. he looks badass
I cannot belive that you dont have to go to Karazhan for this one.
oh cmon there are like three for which u have to go to kharazan
Nobbel´, please make video about Shadow Pirest artifact Xal Atath.
Matej Dzurov Give him more time. Imo, it's the artifact with the greatest lore around here. And let us not talk about all the theories around it.
browsing RUclips at 3am... I should go to bed. *sees Nobbel video* I guess I can go to bed later :D :D
Sinucon sammme
Slow mo fighting looks so cool
are u going to do a video about like all the main story at once? or more like a line of videos. with all from the birth of the university and Titans + sargeras betrayal, up to the very last info on wow legion. ?????
Bogdan Mavrodin He did actually, all from birth of the universe till MoP I think(does not include chronicles though)
Marcelo Gatto ik that. but many things changed and soo on. i wish he will make like a chain of oe hour lobg videos from start to prezent.
So are Twinblades of the Deceiver > Warglaives of Azzinoth?
11:38 He seemingly leaves the glaves behind so that we might pick em.In that way Kill'jaeden can manipulate us directly through the blades.
can´t wait for you to do monk
been maining monk since mop launched , never looked back
i was going to sleep(it is 22:00 where i live) but nooooop, nobbel had to post the video that i was waiting for weeks
You are such a rebel :D
Ptach 7.1.0: We have now made it so demon hunters fly on cinematic screens since, ya'know double jumps 11:47 ? Also we nerfed shamans again for no reason
Hey nobb just so you know you are my all time fav RUclipsr!!!
Watching 2 demon hunter fighting in slow motion are quite amusing
It really bugs me that the only reason we have have is that he just decided to drop em on his way out for no reason.
i like the deceiver here, he is quite awesome and i can see his point, sort of.
can you do an explanation video of the 7.1 gul dan cinematic? ive watched it over and over again and i need some nobbel info
Micronis Gaming I think he's saving it for the Nighthold raid. :)
taht slowmotion fight was looking pretty good lol :XD
They really should have made the twinblades of the deceiver either illidan's warglaives recovered from a warden vault or maybe like killing the same type of demon that Azzinoth was. I was terribly underwhelmed with havoc's artifact, and i've been obsessed with DH's since years before they were a playable class so I was really hoping for something more fitting like blades of the fallen prince or doomhammer, etc.
Mustapha Javeed Yeah, these aren't the most memorable artifact weapons.
Well i have to say the Aldrachi Warglaives' lore is by far more badass and makes them sound more powerful since Sargeras himself was forced to kill the Aldrachi wielding the blades.
ACmaniacos Definitely. Despite being entirely new lore, it's a way more interesting story than Varedis'.
thanks Nobbel!
Noooo! Now i want to know what he does with those blades! Saludos desde Guatemala amigo ^^
wooo nobbel can fly when picking up the weapons xD
was kind of a weak story on blizzard's part. "I don't need these powerful weapons to beat you even tho I just lost so let me l3ave them here for you to pick up even tho kil'jaden put a part of his soul in them because reasons"
perhaps a better way to get them the weapons would have been he gets knock off a cliff and drops them in the process leaving us to wonder if he is alive.
also idk about you guys but if I worked for the Legion and kil'jaden gave me part of his power I certainly would not just give it to the enemy Cuz I was throwing a hissy fit.
Lord Illidan knows the way.
I find it kinda BS that DH do all these sneaky stuff, yet they have no stealth or a camouflage type spell in-game -.-
Altruis's title should be changed to the betrayer. He did more to help the legion than Illidan ever did. We're it not for this disloyal, distrustful soldier the legion may not have had the strength to invade so soon.
Scott Pumo A befitting title for him would be "The Backstabber"! ;)
His betrayal pisses me off that he's even an option for people to pick. The MC Demon Hunter isn't some new Demon Hunter, you're Illidan's second in command, so it makes no sense for you to do anything but murder his ass on the spot.
EsotericSanity If I'm not mistaken, he was mentionned in the Illidan novel, right?
Archon95 - I haven't read a book since War Crimes, but I really want to get the Illidan one. Only thing I know is that it goes into much greater detail of what Illidan was doing before his defeat so it probably talks about the Illidari and maybe a nameless one that we play as.
Heh nobhunter, I love it :3 almighty demon hunter!!
yay! hi Nobbel!
Hiya!
Nobbel87 1st, yay acknowledgement lol.

Can we get The Demon Hunter Campaign video?
Good video!
from where i can get a chest and shoulder etc like these
Kil'Jaeden sounds like some random eredar voice etc and not this cool lord..
Any chance of new Lore Nerds with Jesee?
+Nobbel87 How long until Truthguard?
Nobel what armor is your demon hunter wearing?
I couldn't find Varedis Felsoul, even though I was already at the yellow dot. Your video didn't show how you found him. You just transitioned to a scene where he was already found and ready to fight. This didn't help me much.
lol you were floating in the air
Loved your vid though I can't help but feel like Blizz kinda half-assed this quest line. The fallen Illidari just gets bored and gives us his weapons? Seems pretty anticlimactic imo.
Wasn't Varedis in the novel? I could have sworn he was.
Still hoping for the WW monk one soon :(
You are not prepared!!
double jump
AHHHH YEH YA
legion was so fun as a demon hunter.................. miss it so much until blizzard nerf everything
CRUSADER JORNY THE DEIFIED? any lore facts behind him?
Hello Nobbel!
what's with the glitch when you got the artifact
Why were the Twin Blades Blue?
Did he just... Ditch his weapons?
Yeah, I didn't want to sleep anyway...
I'm sorry.. **ROFL** but your demon hunter is called Nobhunter
dude no hunter hall?
what happened in the thumbnail? i see the name of the weapons but your characters feet are like in the air?
I'm guessing varadis will be a raid boss when we go to argus
Evilmonkey gunman He's killed at the end of the Demon Hunter quest line. I'm not sure whether or not the place he was killed in counts as in the Twisting Nether. Maybe he'll be back, maybe not.
Killjoy Media - Gaming and More oh right I haven't don't that yet
Gotta say as a demon hunter myself...Our artifact weapon (aside from vengeance) is kind of lame. The story at least.
Defected, de-fec-ted, not deflected.
To deflect is to cause someone to deviate
To defect is to abandon one's country (or in this case, faction) in favour of an opposing one.
Altrius did not deflect, he openly defected the Illidari.
haha wut?! He just drops the blades like it's a joke!
"It's just a prank bro! There's a camera in that demon skull!"
Is no one going to notice his name is "Nobhunter" ... :^)
I swear the Burning Legion invades Azeroth once again two or three times a week! Can we not catch a break? I'm watching Nobbel here, Burning Legion, sod off!
Dionius Well, Sargeras isn't the kind of guy who would just take a vacation, I guess. xD
Which item set is that???
his armor? its the set from the legion prequests
Oh, hey, _yet another_ poor soul who got captured by the Legion and horribly tormented by the demonlords.
Seriously, are there any souls in the Universe that *aren't* damned to an eternity of torture?
for all the cartoonish look of the game, it really is dark as fuck
They're demons, what do you expect? Besides, Varedis wasn't tortured by the Legion, he was empowered by them.
Cartoonish? Not really. Dark? Also not really.
Yeah nice comments guys.
Drakkona123 yes, being brainwashed into hating the Illidari doesn't count as psychological torture at all. "He was just getting an upgrade, thats all".

"nobhunter"
my question is why tf has illidan got some shitty glaives noe
fist of heavens pls nobbel senpai
tuan nguyen dinh Nice choice of words, with all the asian theme of MOP! ;)
Varedis KKona
It was an interesting but there is no reason at all for him to throw the glaives for us like that.
He was just trying to end us rightly.
We can blame Altruis (and ourselves to some degree) for Varedis' betrayal. I'm so glad I picked Kayn for my demon hunter.
Is nobody gonna mention the thumbnail? Really?
!!!!!!
It's a bit weird that they were just kind of dropped there for some reason hahaha bit of a weak story there.
lol I will just leave these here and you don't take them ok? Iran deal all over again
wtf nobble
when you got the Twinblades of the Deceiver , was you fliy??
when you got the twinblades *oh I'm just gonna glitch and air and not show myself*
nice video man.but yeah probably the worst artifact quest imo
Destinamue I still think Light's Wrath is the most disappointing.
Archon95 - enhancement shaman...
I kinda forgot about this one. What artifact is this?
Doomhammer
So I wasn't mistaken. Yeah, it would've made more sense to get the hammer in Draenor. :/
You kept pronouncing "defected" as "deflected", just fyi.
third!
These are the most boring looking artifacts so far, they look worse than the ones you currently own with the character
