i'm glad someone finally touched on how john is doing what everyone else was doing to him. No one has the right to criticizes him. manly because he's been and the bottom and the top her knows that the hierarchy is to blame for all the abuse that goes on in school. He knows that people will only be nice to you if you're powerful. He realized that people are 2 faced. as soon as you're weaker than them they flip a switch. Even if you never beat them into submission. The same thing happened to seraphina. she never brutalized people, she was doing her job the world set for her. So why did people target her the moment she became powerless? Because they were jealous of her having power? Or maybe they thought she saw them as trash. It's all fake no one really cares anymore. so I have no reason to think that johns beliefs on people being worthless or 2 faced is false because, it is. It's been shown countless of times. another great video Shy Chef!
KingHiram21, I agree with you, but SO MANY people think that John is a psychopath because of all that TRAUMA he went through in his past, Keon’s mind-rapping is ESPECIALLY to blame because it made John hate himself, which made things even WORSE.
Exactly my point, people shitting on him for no apparent reason makes my heart break. They don't know the trauma he is going through and just rant on about him being a maniac/crazy person beating everyone up, imagine being in his shoes: I would've done the exact same. Edit: Most of the people who shit on John probably haven't re-read unO.
Although they don’t actually kill you, just physically harm you to be sent to the Infirmary... For John on the other hand, Asslo and his “companions” decided to mentally knock him down bits by bits, causing him to break completely. People can be bully and ignore it... But when someone get betrayed by the one they thought they trusted and they push them down even further... yea...
John was probably one of the smartest and understanding characters. He realized that he needed to improve after reading his dad's book. When people got bullied, he stood up for them. I understand why he is rude, he trusted Claire, someone that helped him out when he was weak. Then, he got betrayed, his best friend did not look for friendship. Arlo made John soften up and did the exact same thing to him as Claire. After realizing this pattern, he does not trust anyone at all. Keon affected John in a big way. He tore John down and made him feel very worthless. I agree that John is doing everything that the others did to him. If somebody beat you up, what would you do? Wouldn't you want revenge? John is giving everybody what they deserve. We all wanated revenge for something at least one time in our lives. Well John wants revenge for him and Seraphina. In a way, we can all relate to John.
The thing about John and low tiers is that he feels like low tiers are weak not only physically but mentally as well. John even before finding out he had powers always had the tendency to not back down and fight even if he knew he was going to lose. That’s why John looks down on low tiers because they got no back bone like him.
Also rember how that low tier guy said he looked down on them because he was friends with seraphina? Thier perception of him was skewed because she was his friend and so they created gossip.
I love John I just feel like right now John is becoming way more evil he just need somebody to help him and if you read the Fastpass you understand how bad John is becoming
@John Doe And I think Sera "BY" and John likes her but hasn't gotten at that point yet or they both haven't since in reality they both done so much for each other, even through John darkest days he done more for her without them realizing.
@John Doe the fan art and the art Ura uses of John and Sera screams though that someday they'll be in some sort of relationship more than just best friends.
I think a lot of people fundamentally misunderstand John's character. I see a lot of people calling him mentally ill, people actually think he is some sort of psychopath even, and have gone as far as to treat him like the villain of the series. However, nothing can be further from the truth. I won't make the argument that John is a good person, but I think he is far from evil - chaotic neutral seems like an accurate choice for him. The world in unOrdinary is not like ours. They don't share our moral values. The physically powerful are basically an aristocratic class and the weak are mere serfs. Those who are determined to have potential are trained to act in accordance with their station. They are trained to think that they are better than everyone else, and naturally this leads to resentment by those at the bottom. In unOrdinary power determines who is right and who is wrong. The strong are expected to put the weak in their place. Obviously, it is a toxic system. Any normal person from our society can easily recognize it as such. But for the people in unOrdinary it is simply reality - the hierarchy (if you will). John seems to be one few characters to recognize just how flawed the system is. This is obviously due to his background. He is without a doubt one of the physically strongest characters in the series, but he started out as being very physically weak. He was bullied for years by those stronger than he was and naturally came to resent his abusers. And so, when his power evolved, he finally had the opportunity to take out this resentment of those who had wronged him. Now you might argue that he took things too far, and I would agree with you, but I think it is difficult to know what it is like to be his position because there is literally nothing comparable in our world. As awful as I found Keon, he does makes some good points about John and why he like all other "late bloomers" are destined for failure (obviously I hope this isn't the case). Ironically, I think he has already achieved quite a bit by tearing down the hierarchy. Remi and the gang are actually starting to take some action in the school. Even if Sera is getting targeted at the moment I think the situation at the school can only improve, and let's face it she was already getting targeted.
In John’s opinion, Seraphina is metaphorically an eagle, soaring in the sky, never having to worry about the world and her system (yes, Mother Earth is a her, deal with it), and nobody DARING to touch or threaten her, while is metaphorically a BLACK WOLF, knowing only hatred, violence, and PAIN, beating things down to survive in a dog-eat-dog world, howling all he wants, knowing he can’t do a DAMN THING to change to world.
Albert naw keon made it worse tbh he made john broken down even more so he could bite back and chomp hard, ruining his head and now he's stuck blindly wanting revenge. sure, keon made him further realize this world is fucked up, but the cost was breaking john down and breaking his ideals. i mean, everyone he trusts is betraying him and keon made him not realize hes making the same mistakes while fixing this mess. this comment is a mess so sorry if you dont understand as its prolly off topic ;-;
I been waiting for this. Honestly I see John as Gray type characters because Remi thought it was a black and white situation when it wasn’t. Arlo awaken the beast(John).
I agree, John held his sleeping black wolf self inside, hoping it would NEVER be awoken again, but thanks to friggin’ ASSLO, the black wolf has awakened once again, and is now taking his rage out on the hierarchy.
John is an interesting character ,he sees the two faced quality in everyone and hates them for it he is always judged in any place in the hierarchy and everything he does backfires and the only person who is not two faced is seraphina this is why he is freinds with her he knows that she doesn't care about a person's strength but more their character and attitude . A great example of this two faced quality is with people like Zeke when you are stronger they are kissing up to you all the time simply because you are stronger and when you fall their goal is to beat you down further Another example is Hower when arlo confronts him about seraphina he starts by asking if he is Hower before seeing that he is talking to someone much stronger than him hower assumes it is a low teir and responds with a very snarky"yeah who's asking"and when he sees arlo his entire ego drops instantly This is a terrible trait to have and when almost everyone shows it CLEARLY and no one cares John takes it upon himself to stop these people in the only way he knows ,brutality, this is the sad truth of unordinary and the characters but John is right because the only way that anyone listens to anyone is thrugh fear dominance or if it is beaten into them John's goal is to stop the hierarchy so people can accept people for more than simply their strength and even while he does this he hates himself for having to revert to his brutality Anyway this comment is hella long and will probably burn out ur device so ima stop.
“Is John a Villain or a Victim?” He is a Victim that almost everyone cause him to become a Villain. He “spare” them when they beat him up... but when they decide to break him internally bits by bits and also causing harm to his friend, Sera... Those people did get what they deserved... but did John went too far? Part of me want to say no, but the other part knows it is too far...
A couple people didnt deserve what john did to them. Like an argument can be made from Isen and Blyke. Really the only one i see truly undeserving was remi. Also with Johns stardands to beating up everyone. He should beat himself up. I mean hes a hypocrite to the core. Hes also a tyrant. He may have wanted to stop violence once but he even said it isnt his problem.
john is an intriguing character, although I do agree he has lost sight of what he wanted to do, and yes remi is realy does not deserve any of it, as she is one of the few people who wanted change
If we're talking about that chick in the trench coat that the hero squad (Remi, Isen, Blyke) fought then yes. I'd say he has a fair chance. If we're talking about the people in vans who attacked Sera then no. if John has no power's to copy and gets jumped he might lose. Martial artist or not one guy can't take on 6 people with knives w/o an ability.
Well, the only person from Ember we've ever seen is Volcan, who's ability doesn't seem to be above 6.0. I'm guessing that Arlo would be able to easily take her down, so she doesn't even stand a chance against John. However, we haven't been shown any other members. If Remi's theory about Ember being connected with the authorities, then I don't think John would be able to take on Ember.
@@rown2689 Actually we don't properly know if Volcan is a part of Ember, the hero trio just assumed that she was a part of them because her ability was similar to the branded slashed and burnt bodies, Remi's brother. She could quite literally be just a drug dealer.
I don't think Ember can be beaten until they reveal who I or whom are Ember. If Ember somehow weaken him like the other time before he can even fight, I would be a moment of matter for them to beat him down. But, if they can't then hell gonna lose. So, I don't think he can alone do anything. But, with a group then damn yes. But, again it need to be discovered who the hell Ember is!!
Hypothetically speaking John would be the most overpowered and unbeatable Superhero! Volcan wouldn't be able to beat him let alone kill him and he'd never lose to an ability amped person. When John copies an ability he copies it at 1.5× stronger so the stronger/amped ability you use against him the more powerful he'll be. And John could never lose his ability his trick stat is maxed out plus the fact that he never trusts people they couldn't get him into a trap just like with Seraphina. The only way to beat John is to probably kill him with a projectile ability from very far away or kill him in his sleep but it's John so he most likely sleeps with one eye open.
While I would agree that he's definitely overpowered, I wouldn't say he's the strongest per say. Back in like chapter 10 or so, uru-chan had an ability chart of the top 10 most powerful students in wellston. Seraphina was listed at #1 while #2 was unknown. Now that it's been revealed that John has an ability, I think he's the person in the #2 slot. Because at #3, there's Arlo and it's already been stated that John already had a higher level than Arlo when he entered new Bostin but we don't know his current level.
@@northone2022 well I think Uru was wrong because even if Sera can land a few shots he will copy and rewind and will eventually over power Sera because she is very powerful John is like a pile of wood and the powers are like fire they fuel him and will eventually grow bigger and start a forest fire But I don't write the script so yeah
@@northone2022 That was when John still didn't use his ability yet. He was still a 7.0 or just a bit higher from studying all those high tier abilities. Now John has gotten a lot more experience from fighting all the people and stuff, so who knows? John could be higher than Sera now.
The thing that especially makes me sad is that Seraphina doesnt know why he is hiding his ability. It just looks like he has been lying to her to the entire time and that he doesnt trust her, sadly this isnt the case. He didnt want Sera to know about his past because he thought she'd consider him a monster. He should have told her but he must've been afraid to tell her because he didnt want to lose her like he did with Claire and Adrion. He also isnt very in control I guess I should say, he is the shadow king with often references to darkness and you cant really control darkness. I think this evil force took him in and made him into the shadow king this making his power level shoot up from a 1.2 to a 7.0, I can be completely wrong. I love both Sera and John but them splitting made my heart shatter.. Edit:I'm so dumb I didn't even realise until now He called Gavin Zeke 😅
@@fatimacraft5871 Definetly. He was a rank 7 by the time he got expelled in New Bostin. He is surely on the same level as Sera so when it does come to the part where they fight, John can copy her ability for sure - if she does get her ability back and they choose to fight. After all, the only thing that can get to John's head is basically power since he is being absorbed by his own.
@@jamesworkman9973 I think they will de equal amounts of damage to eachother and John will realise what he did and just stand there doing nothing, not so sure tho ;_;
Based on where the season is currently going, I am expecting some form of encounter where John has to face off against Seraphina. He will break down if he harms her in anyway and feel like he is reliving his past school life. Really looking forward to when he hits rock bottom and gets his redemption climb back up somehow.
There's also the chance that instead of a redemption climb, he'll just keep spiraling. Kind of like what happened to Handsome jack from Borderlands series (Especially the pre-sequel)
Moose Haddock sera and john would be a loophole if they faught considering she reverses time kinda so she can reverse the copy with the ability and LOOPHOLE also sera could freeze him and then john could reverse that time and AAAAAA but yeah john would prolly still win but it would be a loophole thats hard to get outta
KrystalWhateverLolz as soon as she uses her ability though he’s won unless she can take him out in one hit, just like when seraphs a confronted her mother she was able to override her moms freeze cause she could use the ability better so John should probably be able to win (just my theory though)
@@111-x1b wrong she can only reverse time on her own body for a very shot period. If she could reverse time on others she could've healed John by herself instead of calling for Elaine
after i watched your video, i finally understand how john's mind works; he has no trust in anyone, except seraphina. he even hates literally everyone including himself, except seraphina. so, when seraphina lost her ability, he wanted seraphina to be protected and get revenge on who hurts her. as for arlo, he try to be friends with him, so that he could trust him too. yet, things backfired. and so, he lose his trust completely and decided to not trust anyone. he also didn't trust seraphina completely because he's afraid that she will act like claire.
Tbh a bit of the core of Johns character is from Keon which cripples him to basically an empty shell and that’s how the book unordinary was made which made his character, though I think Keons punishment is effective but cruel basically having the same effect of the dementors kiss
Remi didn’t deserve what she got and now John is hating on seraphina for not trusting him when he broke her trust from lying to he for a good part of a year
Is anyone else afraid that John is going down a path too similar to that of Handsome Jack from the borderlands series? Because from my perspective their origins kinda have similar circumstance. They even have the same first name since Jack's real name is actually John! Side-note: Sometimes looking at John (Especially while in his joker persona) actually makes the Joker(2019) movie get stuck in my head. In both cases the protagonist is treated like sh*t by basically everyone around him and he finally snaps people are quick to label them as evil or monsters (Not that I'm totally justifying their actions mind you, just acknowledging that everyone has their own breaking point and John's is Loooong been reached).
@@tomitolujegede4369 For sure but this video explain why tho in-depth. Am still on his side but at this point he needs a therapist. Plus where the teachers I mean come one people got hospitalized and only 3 adult talked about it
He's been usurped by those close to him (dad may have seen the light, but mommy still might've been very bad), forced into a position he probably didn't even want, unjustly punished mentally and physically when he asserted himself after his first loves and courts little ambush, and without a doubt until proven otherwise this would've been wholly acceptable if it weren't for they're designs for him and his rapid growth over a short period!!! Then after he breaks and rebuilds a bit he finds someone about to be crushed under that same unbearable pressure, and brought her back from the brink. Only to have a bunch of self entitled jerks and sows to intervene , because they don't want to lose they're pretty little delusion in the slightest!!! Then when he fights back against it all for his only friend, he's called a fiend for punishing a good chunk of those who over stepped they're bounds and shucked they're supposed responsibility to the side for (at worst) they're pride or (at least) they're grief, and they still have enough Gaul to manipulate a wrench into his only trustworthy connection at that "school", while unintentionally furthering his P.T.S.S with hypocrisy, half measures, and forcing out what he doesn't want to be spoken of. On top of all of that what should be the schools main authority have they're own plans for john, but if someone with wisdom doesn't intervene soon, there maybe nothing to salvage from this generation.
Noah Hetrick Yes but there is always an even more ruthless leader after the vacuum. Take Louis XVI for example, he was pretty much useless and was dethroned and killed. Then there was a power gap with the Reign of Terror and Napoleon I came around and started a bloody long war with the other European powers of the day. Also with the Legend of Korra, when the Earth Queen was killed, there was a power gap as well which resulted in Kuvira ascending to power and refusing to step down and causing fear and panic and unbalance throughout the lands.
Yes, because it's better if more people are getting brutally pummeled in. You do realize that instead of people getting revenge as joker, it could turn into innocent people being hurt and sent to the infirmary by just one insane person? It's called a fucking school shooting but with powers.
hey shy chef, in the episode when you say john's main weakness is that he can't fight people he doesn't know because of the lack of experience of knowing they're fighting style is a pretty good theory, but in episode 73 john, arlo and elaine fight off 2 guys who tried to kidnap sera. john had to copy one of the guys abilities (the guy's ability where he dashes) as he couldn't copy arlo's at the time. he ends up winning against the guy until the van rams him over. so if i had to question john vs volcan, i don't think i'd vote for volcan as much as john because he can manipulate how her flame claws ability.
I took a look at Volcan’s design, and if you take a closer look, her and John’s eyes are the same SHAPE AND COLOR. I believe that Volcan is John’s MOTHER, I may or may not be wrong, but it’s a DAMN GOOD theory. But if I was right, and if they were to fight, it would be the mother-son battle of the CENTURY!
If you read the latest chapter where everyone ask Arlo why he has so much faith in the authorities and higher up you see Arlo talk about his aunt who's in the authorities and look just like volcan
Another thing about John is that he experienced both ends of the spectrum. Low tier and high tier, John has the right to talk about how things should be run because he understands this world better than mostly everyone. He was born without knowing he had a power and his dad couldn’t help because he didn’t have a good life as well because well you know his father is a true cripple so his dad technically supported John to beat the high rankers simply because of what he went through maybe that’s too far fetch because he just told him to fight back. Then again John had no role model growing up so John in my eyes is the hero. I can’t disagree with him because of the circumstances he’s been put in. Imagine John actually had a power already then everything would change he’d be just any character there is.
its weird, my friend recommended this story to me and i can really relate. When I was in primary, i got bullied, badly. by the end of year 5 i snapped and sent someone, a near friend, to the doctors with one punch to the face. now in high school, i try and keep to my self and don't really involve myself in any group activities and prefer to do it myself.
Same here just I was originally average height than got a huge growth spurt at 2nd grade so I beat those people down even older kids didn't fight me because I was just like John at new Boston beating randoms and hospitalised 4 kids now me in high school with the aid of medication and my psychiatrist I am no longer extremely violent
vlad zorescu i think she will maybe.. juni (the green hair 2 bun reporter thot yeah her) is prolly her sister, twin, or cousin considering they have the same features and they both could see into the future. claire is prolly not in wellston because she prolly didnt want to be idk
@@111-x1b yea maybe but do you think claire predicted what would happen to jhon in welston not new bostin That he will be overthrown by the jack (now arlo technically)
Am still rooting for him since I blame Arlo and everyone else they pulled shit on him and when he fights back they back off but it's too late they made their choices and sure the things he's been doing is bad but he was also a victim who wanted a fresh start
John is in many way like Lelouch Vi Britannia or the beginning intentions of Light Yagami for the fan base. Yeah he does a lot of terrible things, but the fans side with him because we know his reasoning and intentions for why he does what he does. The other characters can’t say the same
His name is gavin not Zeke. Also in unordinary no matter what John does he’s wrong, when he showed his ability but was weak he was wrong, when he showed his ability and was strong he was wrong, and when John doesn’t show his ability and acts weak he’s wrong.
Everybody who supports John : Hey John is definitely the good guy! Every body who doesn't like John anymore: He's acting like an aggresive evil jerk! Both sides: Zeke is a trashcan.
John has a higher level of understanding, however he ends up hypocritical. He understands the low tier fears, but they lacked backbone, and he scorns them for it. Maybe not directly, but in his mind. He understands their pain, but their unwillingness to play defense or to fight back pisses him off. But that understanding of their pain leads him to his choice to tear down the hierarchy and show them how much they fucked the school. Remi is the only one who doesn’t really need to see it, but needed to be put in place to show that she needs to have a better understanding than just being knowledgeable of her being essentially alone in the fight to protect. Arlo says he cared, but doesn’t give a shit for the most part, ESPECIALLY after season 1, when he lets John do whatever he wants for the most part. The issue has just arisen in the WEBTOON though. As of episode 190 (it’s in fast pass, so spoilers if you’re waiting 3 weeks), John has fallen back to Tyranny. He doesn’t entirely trust Cecile anymore either. He’s giving her a second chance because she helped in. She stayed loyal. Her previous mistake is still kept into account, but he recognizes that she says fuck all to the hierarchy. She’s selfish, of course, but then again... John is becoming selfish again. As I said, he’s falling back to Tyranny. He declared that he is King. Anybody that backtalks him or slanders him is in for a beat down. John doesn’t even see Seraphina as a friend anymore. She’s not Sera to John. She’s Seraphina. Just another obstacle. Funnily enough, if Seraphina had her ability, she would be the only one who could stand a chance against John. However, if she doesn’t end him before she gets his ability, John wins. Powerscaling headcannon, I know. Point being, John has given up. John has fallen back into his monster persona. He’s brutal. He’s justified, because he’s seen it all, the bottom, the middle, and the top. But he’s truly fallen from the Shadow King trying to show how broken the hierarchy really is, to the Devil King, trying to rule by terror and brute force. His philosophy is fuck all the people. It’s about power. You’re only sorry when you’re outmatched. Which is true. But what’s even worse is that the only effective abilities against him wouldn’t even harm him. He gains abilities, he pretty much wins. The ability enhancing drug that’s been a problem? Yeah, well John’s ability itself pretty much IS the drug, but even worse. John is one of the most ridiculous characters, and you need a crazy combo team to beat him. Even then, you have to hope to god he didn’t stockpile 4 abilities that compliment each other perfectly as an ultimate counter strategy. John is corrupting again. My question now, is who will stop him?
This video raiser two questions. 1. I didn’t realize how wrong Claire was... I forgot that part. So she wasn’t a good friend. So technically Adrian was his only real friend. I don’t really count Sera. Her morals are all over the place, and it’s clearly stated, she only began her friendship w John bc he was a cripple. Once the relationship got “difficult”, she is silted herself, sided w his natural enemy (who basically torture him and tried to kill him), and told him to “get over it”... while also contextually, that enemy being “right there” during the convo making it look like this was an a setup and attack on John. John has no trust in anyone, because no one deserves his trust. He was betrayed from top down. Except maybe Adrian (forget if he was in the battle royale, and possibly Remi, but she can’t claim ignorance as an excuse for a year). -society (setup for weak to fail) -parents (literally where are they?!
-school (beat up for 1.5 years... includes royals {all of them, including sera}, teachers, principal, heck the nurse) -Claire Everyone has literally wronged him
Seraphina losing her power and getting beat up just breaks John completely... Even though I don’t agree with John, he is one of the few “protagonist” I can understand and agree with to an extent...
John is like Sakura Matou from the hidden butterfly movie(fate series) she was broken over and over and over and over again by the people close to her. The straw that broke the camel’s back was the time when Sakura was almost raped by her “brother”. Sera is , in a way, Shirou Emiya, again from the fate series, was Sakura’s life line. He was the only one who genuinely cared for Sakura, he is the only one who haven’t betrayed Sakura. Imma guess, like the movies might end, Sera will bring John back from what is happening to him, like what Shirou is doing to help Sakura (Sup to all you fate fans out there)
I definitely wont trust someone who was having fun breaking me up for no reason , suddenly being kind to me for the sake of being kind . I dont think he has trust issues at all , the people were just pure trash not worth a bit of risk to trust . And in later part, when no one was on his side . He knew he used them , and they too are using him . So it wasnt any betrayal at all .
I decided to create a discord where we could discuss the characters activities, here is the link. The link will never expire so feel free to join whenever discord.gg/pzWznKA
Is anyone else starting to think that maybe John became a cripple and takes all the punishment of being such, because maybe he is trying to punish himself for brutalizing his classmates before?
This video is a summary of - how good John WAS - how bad he became due to his power - how much he remembers Claire saying “ monster “ and that shady dude slapping and slamming John’s face - John’s trust which became ... does he even have trust ? Well ig you can say that - how much everybody loves for beating people in power in school and how much people hate him because If anything’s missing tell me
Honestly in the end, the only people that have the right to criticize him are ppl that for beat up for no reason and seraphina the ppl that got beat up for no reason would be cuz they went through the same thing he did and sera cuz well even tho she was welstons ace, she helped John
First of all FUCK YEAH TUSDAY! Second yeah John is fucky something interesting that might be a little head cannon is dude still has that high tier mind set, the lows tried to befriend him but he ignores them feeling above them and hates high tiers for well do I need to explain? Unpopular opinion but I think an interesting thing that could happen to John is for him to actually be out back in the position where he was legitimately a cripple, Sera will probably get her powers back at some point so it could be undone but It think John might have forgotten what that is actually like since he has always had an out he never used. I just like characters suffering to learn massive lessons.
Tbh I don't agree with Johns methods entirely Him beating on the royals is nothing more than him taking their power, the notion that "someone is stronger than u, so fall in line" is all it's sending fr If he found a way to speak without people knowing his voice and only fought the ones picking on the weaker kids, telling them off for it, telling them the way they use their power is wrong, I'd be a lil more on board for it. John seems strong asf, and I'd like to see him take on some heavy hitters, not from unordinary, but from MARVEL I wanna see him go against the likes of the Spider-Men, the human torch, iron fist, luke cage, heck even the SENTRY. To see how far his ability to copy powers goes. He's basically the super adaptoid/amazo, and I wonder how long he can hang in with guys like that, or even how well he would understand their powers.
I’m pretty sure he was lying during the interrogation, I don’t think he particularly wants to be the main character or a superhero as of right now but I don’t think he trusts the authorities because why would he? They enforce the hierarchy at the top level. I think it was hinted that he was using the lie detector’s ability against her so that she couldn’t detect him lying
you left out the part of john treating his supposed original friends like tools the minute he started developing his ability and completely ignoring them unless he felt they had a use for him at the time and that had nothing to do with how everyone else was treating him, that was just his choice. he's been a narcissist since day one. i don't hate his character, i actually love the way it was developed, great writing. i just think its dumb that people pretend he is some innocent person who's just lashing out because the world has been against him his whole life

I'm siding with John. The low tiers have to fear for their lives everyday. Imagine going to school everyday being afraid that you may die
I would rather be homeschooled. I mean a simple fight with my friend makes me crawling back at my room...Then this school would make me suicide
Although they don’t actually kill you, just physically harm you to be sent to the Infirmary...
For John on the other hand, Asslo and his “companions” decided to mentally knock him down bits by bits, causing him to break completely.
People can be bully and ignore it...
But when someone get betrayed by the one they thought they trusted and they push them down even further... yea...
Bro that's just going to school in America we all go without choice with a huge risk of death
@@Golf_hater "huge risk of death" lmao
I’m pretty sure that anyone who is powerless would’ve felt the same way as John if they were living in a dog-eat-dog world like that.
Wow. That was deep. I agree!
in chap 173...
Hermione Convicto he was sleep deprived with ptsd so i dont think hes completely ok right now, heck hes not ok EVER
@@111-x1b He has severe PTSD and a lot of Trust issues. He was obviously not in the right mindset, even calling Seraphina Claire
The thing about John and low tiers is that he feels like low tiers are weak not only physically but mentally as well. John even before finding out he had powers always had the tendency to not back down and fight even if he knew he was going to lose. That’s why John looks down on low tiers because they got no back bone like him.
U got ir 💯% right i rlly wanted john to see a low tier fighting back to see his reaction but that didnt happend
He's not evil he just have major trust issues
@John Doe we already stated this multiple times
@John Doe And I think Sera "BY" and John likes her but hasn't gotten at that point yet or they both haven't since in reality they both done so much for each other, even through John darkest days he done more for her without them realizing.
@John Doe I get the feeling Sera "By" but she could be full blown gay which is cool.
The black wolf is John, just in case you guys didn’t notice.
You agree with me right?
Donnovan McDonald yeah, it makes sense
Albert naw keon made it worse tbh
he made john broken down even more so he could bite back and chomp hard, ruining his head and now he's stuck blindly wanting revenge. sure, keon made him further realize this world is fucked up, but the cost was breaking john down and breaking his ideals. i mean, everyone he trusts is betraying him and keon made him not realize hes making the same mistakes while fixing this mess.
this comment is a mess so sorry if you dont understand as its prolly off topic ;-;
A great example of this two faced quality is with people like Zeke when you are stronger they are kissing up to you all the time simply because you are stronger and when you fall their goal is to beat you down further
Another example is Hower when arlo confronts him about seraphina he starts by asking if he is Hower before seeing that he is talking to someone much stronger than him hower assumes it is a low teir and responds with a very snarky"yeah who's asking"and when he sees arlo his entire ego drops instantly
This is a terrible trait to have and when almost everyone shows it CLEARLY and no one cares John takes it upon himself to stop these people in the only way he knows ,brutality, this is the sad truth of unordinary and the characters but John is right because the only way that anyone listens to anyone is thrugh fear dominance or if it is beaten into them
John's goal is to stop the hierarchy so people can accept people for more than simply their strength and even while he does this he hates himself for having to revert to his brutality
Anyway this comment is hella long and will probably burn out ur device so ima stop.
“Is John a Villain or a Victim?”
He is a Victim that almost everyone cause him to become a Villain.
Lmao even though John is a joker he’s still my favorite character
Yea me too lol
feels rlly satisfiying him doing so badass stuff but also wrong 😅
hold on what do you mean a joker
@@bwubi5936 which episode are you in?

The way John is now, he's the easiest to classify in the alignment chart
Chaotic neutral
One question: If John were to cross paths with Ember will he be able to beat Ember? Considering his power level, Will he be able to defeat Ember?
ScepticalCynic john copies sera's ability, sera reverses it using her ability
loophole
Hahaha 😂😂😂 Don't know why last line cracked me up. Well if I would've lived in such place them I would rather keep my eyes open even in sleep
@@northone2022 well I think Uru was wrong because even if Sera can land a few shots he will copy and rewind and will eventually over power Sera because she is very powerful John is like a pile of wood and the powers are like fire they fuel him and will eventually grow bigger and start a forest fire
But I don't write the script so yeah
Volcan can not Kill John and that's for sure. Remi, Blyke, and Isen were able to beat Volcan, yet were destroyed by John
@@northone2022 That was when John still didn't use his ability yet. He was still a 7.0 or just a bit higher from studying all those high tier abilities. Now John has gotten a lot more experience from fighting all the people and stuff, so who knows? John could be higher than Sera now.
The thing that especially makes me sad is that
Seraphina doesnt know why he is hiding his ability.
Edit:I'm so dumb I didn't even realise until now
He called Gavin Zeke 😅
Wizzy •v• I think he’s more than a 7 by now
@@fatimacraft5871 Definetly.
Wizzy •v• ye kinda sad but if he beats her he’s gonna be a complete wreck since he attacked the only one he cared about
@@jamesworkman9973 I think they will de equal amounts of damage to eachother and John will realise what he did and just stand there doing nothing, not so sure tho ;_;
Wizzy •v• tru very tru ;-;
Moose Haddock sera and john would be a loophole if they faught considering she reverses time kinda so she can reverse the copy with the ability and LOOPHOLE
also sera could freeze him and then john could reverse that time and AAAAAA
but yeah john would prolly still win but it would be a loophole thats hard to get outta
I wouldn’t say evil. But more giving people things they deserve.
IKR?!
Remi didn’t deserve what she got and now John is hating on seraphina for not trusting him when he broke her trust from lying to he for a good part of a year
AshleyGingerAle Maybe not giving what people deserve but he’s still not evil.
He ain’t evil yet
He's the cruel reality. The reality nobody wants to face, only willing to face it when it's a thread to them directly.
Does someone realize he called Gavin, Zeke
I did
This video hit home. Anyone who Fast pass unordinary knows this hit home. Am with john but it's going to get darker before it get bigger
Tbh, in fast pass things are looking really bad for the guy :(
@@tomitolujegede4369 For sure but this video explain why tho in-depth. Am still on his side but at this point he needs a therapist. Plus where the teachers I mean come one people got hospitalized and only 3 adult talked about it
I am with John because he has been almost abused into believing he is worthless and been forced back into the thing he hates
I hope that Sera eventually convinces John to like calm down I guess
I mean John wasnt convinced by others so yeah
Joker wasn't even that bad sure there is a bunch of fake joker's out their but it really gives the low levels a chance
I think it's better there is no king and the Chaos flow and get fixed in time.
Then there would be a power vacuum and an even more ruthless ruler will take control. It’s just what happens. There’re real life examples.
@@nicoletheweirdo91421 it's better to be a power gap then some jackass ruler being nothing but a spoiled brat I say
Nicole the Weirdo I agree
Yes, because it's better if more people are getting brutally pummeled in. You do realize that instead of people getting revenge as joker, it could turn into innocent people being hurt and sent to the infirmary by just one insane person?
It's called a fucking school shooting but with powers.
I honestly have no idea how I came across this channel but I am SO happy I did
hey shy chef, in the episode when you say john's main weakness is that he can't fight people he doesn't know because of the lack of experience of knowing they're fighting style is a pretty good theory, but in episode 73 john, arlo and elaine fight off 2 guys who tried to kidnap sera. john had to copy one of the guys abilities (the guy's ability where he dashes) as he couldn't copy arlo's at the time. he ends up winning against the guy until the van rams him over. so if i had to question john vs volcan, i don't think i'd vote for volcan as much as john because he can manipulate how her flame claws ability.
@@donnovanmcdonald6194 pretty good theory except that in episode 161 there is another person who has orange glowing eyes D:
The color isn’t orange, it’s BURNT GOLD.
My body is ready for john vs the principlae fight 🔥🔥🔥
Yo Who Gonnna tell him that His name is Gavin Not Zeke XD
Damn Keon changed John so much his chat bubble even changed from dark grey to white-

its weird, my friend recommended this story to me and i can really relate.

Claire didn’t actually take advantage of john
I can't wait for the next chapter for the explanation of Arlo on what happened between with him and John
It really is messed up! I'm not sure what he can do now. He's been at the bottom and the top and still got used and betrayed.
KingHiram21 and I bet you people will still see John as wrong or as the bad guy.

But I made it in time UwU
I still feel bad for John tho U.U
Same here.
So, John’s basically a misanthrope.
Misanthrope: A human that distrust or dislikes other human beings.
I think he started the series as NG but became CN due to all the shit he's gone through
TF is ng and cn
I was waiting for this🔥🔥🔥
I think we are going to need another John video pretty soon.
-society (setup for weak to fail)
-parents (literally where are they?!
-school (beat up for 1.5 years... includes royals {all of them, including sera}, teachers, principal, heck the nurse)
-Claire
Everyone has literally wronged him
I'm so happy though that Uruchan made John the victim and the villain because that sometimes happens in real life too.
I hope everything is fine in the end.😢😔
To be fair, Isen is trying to keep John calm, and to keep him from getting mad and destroying the school.
You should update the vid soon. They now have episodes going into his past
Seraphina losing her power and getting beat up just breaks John completely...
Even though I don’t agree with John, he is one of the few “protagonist” I can understand and agree with to an extent...
YOUR VIDEOS ABOUT UNORDINARY ARE AWESOME!!
Johns strongest possible for would be him with arlo and seraphinas abilities that’s a 5 in everything except recovery
Love your videos man
John is like Sakura Matou from the hidden butterfly movie(fate series) she was broken over and over and over and over again by the people close to her. Imma guess, like the movies might end, Sera will bring John back from what is happening to him, like what Shirou is doing to help Sakura
(Sup to all you fate fans out there)
at the end of the day, the blame mostly falls on Arlo. and I hope he gets what's coming to him
Tired and Confused IKR?!
claire just said those things to trick the jack
I definitely wont trust someone who was having fun breaking me up for no reason , suddenly being kind to me for the sake of being kind . I dont think he has trust issues at all , the people were just pure trash not worth a bit of risk to trust .
And in later part, when no one was on his side . He knew he used them , and they too are using him . So it wasnt any betrayal at all .
5:37 that’s Gavin, not Zeke
So hyped for new chapters hope the school turns anarcho-communists
I decided to create a discord where we could discuss the characters activities, here is the link. The link will never expire so feel free to join whenever discord.gg/pzWznKA
only true difrence is that higher tier are fearing for their life like the low ones have since .... forever
Is anyone else starting to think that maybe John became a cripple and takes all the punishment of being such, because maybe he is trying to punish himself for brutalizing his classmates before?
My man almost finished a 3 hour 2018 alpharad video
Anyone believe that John is an anarchistic because if you look at his actions and the definition of an anarchistic it actually makes sense.
This video is a summary of
- how good John WAS
- how bad he became due to his power
- how much he remembers Claire saying “ monster “ and that shady dude slapping and slamming John’s face
- John’s trust which became ... does he even have trust ? Well ig you can say that
- how much everybody loves for beating people in power in school and how much people hate him because
If anything’s missing tell me
Ok im 5 months later but his dad is okay with it? Best dad ever
John: *goes to beat up isen*..........
Me:why didn’t he say “here’s Johnny”URU CHAN PLZ MAKE HIM SAY IT IN A FUTURE PLZZZzZZ!!!
Now we know Claire lied about knowing how powerful John would be
Honestly in the end, the only people that have the right to criticize him are ppl that for beat up for no reason and seraphina the ppl that got beat up for no reason would be cuz they went through the same thing he did and sera cuz well even tho she was welstons ace, she helped John
Bow I understand John much more better
Oh really? Then prove it.
TERESA MOORE Why should she?
John about to pull a Magneto at some point.
They’re showing the backstory now!
Someone on the Internet that has rational thoughts? What kind of twilight zone have I entered? Nice analysis!
Ima do some foreshadowing and guess seraphina is gonna be in neutral good. Not sure if it's a hunch or what
keon he needs this me bruh you just made him DEPRESED
John vs seraphina the epic battle and last ep and will be the best
John reminds me of Lelouch
Why would he believe in rat like isen
1:28 it was a lie to get him on her side
I cry
Claire was truly johns friend but he turned evil
Take a look at both sides and correlate their points
Bullets dont work John.
Abilities dont work John
5:35 pretty sure that's Gavin, not Zeke...
Lmao i was looking earlier to see if you posted something new
5:38 it’s actually Gavin, not Zeke.
Tbh I don't agree with Johns methods entirely
Him beating on the royals is nothing more than him taking their power, the notion that "someone is stronger than u, so fall in line" is all it's sending fr
If he found a way to speak without people knowing his voice and only fought the ones picking on the weaker kids, telling them off for it, telling them the way they use their power is wrong, I'd be a lil more on board for it.
John seems strong asf, and I'd like to see him take on some heavy hitters, not from unordinary, but from MARVEL
I wanna see him go against the likes of the Spider-Men, the human torch, iron fist, luke cage, heck even the SENTRY.
In a way Arlo would be the anti-villain just as John is the anti-hero
That's a fair point
I would say that he started out as neutral good for a small amount of time, then true neutral, then chaotic neutral. But eh, that's just me
John just wanted to be left alone ffs how is that hard???
But now we know Claire really wanted to be Johns friend
you left out the part of john treating his supposed original friends like tools the minute he started developing his ability and completely ignoring them unless he felt they had a use for him at the time and that had nothing to do with how everyone else was treating him, that was just his choice. he's been a narcissist since day one. i don't hate his character, i actually love the way it was developed, great writing. i just think its dumb that people pretend he is some innocent person who's just lashing out because the world has been against him his whole life
That awkward moment the point still holds true today but the points made within have become outdated
