I am so grateful to the devs for bringing the game to xbox day one. I played on the kr version for a bit on my pc and my pc is so ass. It looked so bad with a 1060. Now i dont have to upgrade my pc and i can play on my series x. For that, id happily drop some money for the devs

I'm sad now. I learned on another video that all of the major content is "scheduled" content. When looking at when this content is offered is nearly all at night. So, if you're a morning or afternoon player you're kinda screwed? I nearly never play at night. Is this true?
Pay to progress doesn't bother me too much. It will feel like I am paying a subscription. If a game makes me happy, I will gladly pay for extras. But, I hate to P2W. For example, in Lost Ark, all I have bought is next tier gear via a ark pass. I have paid $30 since launch. It allowed me to continue playing solo. If I play a game this much, and can pay to continue playing it...but, not via buying top gear (i.e: Earning it instead via various dailies)...that is a great game to me. This seems to fit my criteria...
Global release is when we will truly see. The monetization system has already had changes from what I’ve heard I’m sure there will be more. Also from what I’ve seen (may be wrong) but it looks like gear that is purchased with real-world currency is bought from other players, allowing f2p players to make the currency by selling gear to those paying players
İn guild wars 2 you can also buy gold and buy the second strongest items(exotics) instantly and actually you can get strongest weapons too(legendary) but for armors you gotta grind hard especially for legendaries. Everyones happy about that bc getting exotic gear just by playing is easy and allows you to almost any end game content. İ hope that this game s system to be similar to gw2
Buying gold makes you banned. If you want to buy off a legendary weapon in the market you need to grind. Btw ascended gear has the same stats as legendary gear. GW2 is an ovni in the mmorpg world. There is grind but grinding mobs doesn't work. There isn't any p2w. It is buy to play. Most updates a free and gear progression is horizontal. Super casual but at the same time has the best combat gameplay of all tab target mmorpg, ever.
Got a question for you Mimic. Im 98% sure im gonna start with Staff/Dagger (love mages) cause I want a lot of DPS and want a lot of survivability. I would like to try Staff/Wand but Im not a healer and don't want to be pegged as a Healer just cause of Wand, what are your thoughts?
If tab target is an absolute dealbreaker for you then you won't like it... but if you enjoy WoW or FFXIV then you will love this cause it's definitely more dynamic than both these games...
Mmorpg as a genre has been getting so bad over the years. Its 2024 by now we should have an open world mmo that is a solid $70 with NO MICROTRANSACTIONS just a one time purchase. Devil may cry style combat system with good graphics and pvp. But nope. We got WoW clones and tab targetting and pay to win with gacha and rng. These developers are trash now a days
Very unluckily you won’t… people will be min maxing and having dupe accounts to run dungeons multiple times for gears… top guilds will be hard sweats. If you’re not willing to sacrifice time an energy like all the top players, you won’t be as close to competitive as they are
There are rewards, but its based on how you do the event. so If the event wants you to farm items and turn them in, the person who does this the most gets the most rewards.
Hm…I hope that’s not the only pvp happening outside of GvGs and such. lol. I googled it and some ppl said that their some zones where you can pvp and some aren’t, like Archeage if anyone played. Is the pvp like that, or nah?
Yes, there are some zones, that at night time they become open world PVP. These are high loot areas' too, so there is reason to be there in the first place.

boss design looks is so badass. I hope this game doesn't die like blade&soul overrun by bots. looking forward to play and give BDO a break from a toxic relationship. So lucent is like ingame currency. At least they came up with a plan to stop people from advertising selling in-game currency. wish they'd do that with bots. Anyways I use to hate PTW but now i see that it makes sense for people who work a lot and have a busy life but loves mmorpg and wanted a little boost in progression. A wise man once said "I took a quest to go grind in real life 8 hours a day, now I use that money I get from completing my quest to buy the gears I well deserve".
It's pretty fast, its a mixture of like wow combat system, and action system like BDO, but without all the combo mechanics, it actually feels really solid in pvp. when you land your combo, perfect dodge someones attack and counter them, its solid tbh.
If u like mobile games combat u will enjoy it. This game is single target combat, u press E on keyboard and your character auto-atack, this game has worst combat I've seen in 2024 as mmorpg game. I was playing bdo, and lost ark like u and also enjoyed it, but this game is something diff.. slow auto single-target combat, TERRIBLE
Wait; can the GUILD do the Guild Dungeons once per PERSON or once per Guild? 1 run per person, so 3 groups of 6 could do THREE total, or 1 per member of 6?
They have to remove contract from the game, its make the game too repetitive , you have to do that everyday in the same region. They have to make contract like if you go to any spot you can complete them.
Whatever elements T&L has, it's better than having lootboxes and full on gambling Is pay to progress ideal? No but it's sure as hell better than ESO with countless types of crates all of which are available for a limited time and encourage FOMO gambling addictions

LUL. 8.5 or a 9 / 10?????? dam........ i dont know man. i too have done all the game has to offer, even the new stuff that has been release recently and definitely my mileage varies from yours. this game is more of a solid 6.5/10. maybe maybe, if im generous, an 8/10 if you can find yourself a really active and fun guild to play with that is willing to do all the "things" the game has to offer (which was my experience). otherwise, if you play this game solo, small group, or in a small casual guild, this game is a solid 6.5 or 7 / 10. man i feel like a 7 is still being generous. literallly, if you cant find yourself a guild that is somewhat relevant willing to do "stuff", this game is a 5 or 6 /10.
I mean, you have to understand his POV a bit, he is a content creator who will cover this game, he cant actually say, yeah guys its a 4 out of 10...but yeah no where close near a 8 or a 9, I've played on KR as well just how the game feels combat etc for 2024...its meh, will play it for a bit its w/e and when it comes to is it P2W or not, if I would have to answer by choosing only from: Yes or No, then 100% Yes.

Yes it's playable... Wand and Daggers are the two support secondary weapons and you can pair them with all the others to make some truly fun and strong classes... GS and Wand is not the most powerful combo in the world but it's 100% viable... I'll be going for a SnS/Daggers build in the global release... although the game lets you have a ton of freedom because you can switch your "class" at any time by simply switching weapons... it will just take a bit of time to just level up those new weapons but it's not too bad...
i strongly believe part of what makes an mmorpg great is the acknowledgment of people having better gear and having "usually" spent more time. i think gear being hard to get placed behind bosses and small drop rates is a good idea
I don't agree the drop rates should be small, they should be balanced enough there's a fine line between farming and working for what you want vs spending endless amounts of time grinding to possibly never get what you're after

Combat is terrible, looks like weapons are not balanced at all (specially in PvP), game lack of tools like damage meter, you are more like one of the hundreds plebs who just run around.
So you can't buy the top tier items with real money, but you can buy the items that enable you to clear that top tier content earlier. Leading to getting the top items faster than a non-swiper, leading to making you stronger in PvP, leading to controlling the areas that give buffs to you (and your guild), leading to - you get the jist. Sorry, but that IS pay to win, through the backdoor, but still.

PVP is actually fun, there is OPEN world PVP, where you can go to a dungeon, and at night it closes and locks you in with anyone else in that dungeon, and you can just open world pvp. Outside that, there is the SEIGE which happens every 2-3 weeks, that is open world zerg fighting. Other then that, it's just team based random PVP.
As an Albion player, I am kind of excited for this launch. I predict this game will probably peak around 250-500k players. Idc how much the population will drop after launch im prepared to play this MMO with the 15k other people 6 months later. Its a niche MMO its not for everyone... The only thing I truly hate about this game is the barrier to switch weapon combinations. I think its a terrible design imo
Game could have been a huge mmo title. For me it seems that It's heavily pay2win as I believe all guilds will require you to have the pre-bis (pre raid best in slot) items in order to go for a raid with them which will require around 250-300$

90%-95% of players left lost ark, new world and *insert mmorpg name here*, not bcuz its a bad mmo but bcuz its an mmo lifecycle, people come and leave for new content checks etc... The only exclusion i can bring here is probably wow at the times when it was good, but even in these times i say it kept its playerbase bcuz there was no much competition, and when competition arrived players spent so much time in wow that they hesitate to leave it and try something new for a long time. Once it will be here we can judge if its really that bad as u say fella.
MMO's do that though. Usually the playerbase is the initial 10% that stick around and everyone else is just extra because they quit 1 month in. I've played a lot of MMOs and only stuck with about 3, not because they were all bad, but because I was mostly just a tourist coming to see if the game was worth swapping off of my other favorite MMOs. Had some fun, decided they weren't long term for me and continued on. It's normal to have a lot of players like that because there are a lot of MMOs out there. MMO players can only split their attention so many directions, ya know?
Sooo. you say you start same time, you spend money to get early gear without time investment. You can farm stronger monsters, harder bosses before non p2w users AND this is not p2w because that is not endgame gear. Its brilliant logic. :) /s
Those dungeons take a lot of skill to do, its not as easy as you think. I guarantee you will wipe for HOURS trying to do them while learning mechanics. Even maxed Tier 1 full traited pay to winners will wipe, the mechanics are difficult. If you play the game you will see, come back and comment on this once you got some wipes under your belt and let me know if I was correct. :)
@@mimicislivettv I mean if you can buy gear and you start same time than others you will get gear advantage. You can farm better gear faster. (snowball effect). p2w will not be bad after months maybe but its one of the hardest p2w in new servers. And many players want competitive game.

A lot of people don't understand how P2W games can be very different from one another. If someone who spent $5k is like 5X stronger than the guy who spent $500, then you have a problem (Diablo immortal for example). But if there's a softcap / diminishing return after say a few hundred dollars, then it will be rather healthy as the devs make good money, but also you won't see mega whales walking around wiping the screen.
mmos were never solo friendly... some may be more, some less - but in total all mmos are social games. If u want to play solo, go play some idk single player projects idk...

It is very hard to make a solid MMO now and days, so many competitors. It's hard to be original, they don't make them like OG wow, dark age of camelot etc etc anymore.
People need to look past the “p2w” aspect and judge the game as it is because…. Long story short almost every game with any form of competitive pvp/PVE can be p2w the only difference is people breaking TOS or not breaking TOS, the RMT market is booming so when it comes down to it if you don’t pay , you will always at some point go up against someone who does. The only way you can’t p2w is if a game implemented solo self found with no account sharing or trading. Well even then you could buy boosted accounts…. Games awesome , it’s a solid mmo , and even if the publisher didn’t monetize “reputable” “black market “ sites exist. So quit crying about “p2w” because it’s literally everywhere. if you don’t believe me you’re living in la la land or you haven’t been around the gaming industry for long enough. Even if this game had no monotization and they charged 60$ for it , p2w would still be present maybe it would just make the people complaining feel better 😂

You play BDO so naturally you say that cause it's tab target, but it's the best and most dynamic tab target on the market... at endgame it shits on anything WoW or FFXIV can do with their combat systems... Also you play BDO... a game that is empty and soulless af... all you do is kill mobs that you one shot for months and months only to have an hour of fun in PVP... sorry but BDO players calling other games bad is just sad... BDO is the biggest scam I've ever seen cause they get you with that shiny combat system but there is nothing fun you can do with it... only one shot mobs... which in itself is stupid as you're killing things that don't fight back...

The guild can run the raids once a week, but at level 17 I think they can run any dungeon 7 times, something like that!

Yes, tanks are extremely strong in T&L, they DPS just as good as any other champ if build correctly.

LUL. 8.5 or a 9 / 10?????? dam........ i dont know man. i too have done all the game has to offer, even the new stuff that has been release recently and definitely my mileage varies from yours.
this game is more of a solid 6.5/10. maybe maybe, if im generous, an 8/10 if you can find yourself a really active and fun guild to play with that is willing to do all the "things" the game has to offer (which was my experience). otherwise, if you play this game solo, small group, or in a small casual guild, this game is a solid 6.5 or 7 / 10. man i feel like a 7 is still being generous. literallly, if you cant find yourself a guild that is somewhat relevant willing to do "stuff", this game is a 5 or 6 /10.

I mean, you have to understand his POV a bit, he is a content creator who will cover this game, he cant actually say, yeah guys its a 4 out of 10...but yeah no where close near a 8 or a 9, I've played on KR as well just how the game feels combat etc for 2024...its meh, will play it for a bit its w/e and when it comes to is it P2W or not, if I would have to answer by choosing only from: Yes or No, then 100% Yes.
@@zezerin9986 The combat is not meh... it's tab target but for a tab target system it's hands down the best tab target on the market... sorry but I think that this literally shits on WoW and FFXIV combat at endgame... way more dynamic, fluid and fast paced...

Its action combat, so there is definitely skill involved, and all the skills feel very fluid and natural.

Honestly, I can't say I ever saw GS/WAND, you could try it but I feel like it would be kinda gimpy tbh. GS/DAGGER is the META.
Yes it's playable... Wand and Daggers are the two support secondary weapons and you can pair them with all the others to make some truly fun and strong classes... GS and Wand is not the most powerful combo in the world but it's 100% viable... I'll be going for a SnS/Daggers build in the global release... although the game lets you have a ton of freedom because you can switch your "class" at any time by simply switching weapons... it will just take a bit of time to just level up those new weapons but it's not too bad...

It's not pay to progress. You only buy base gear on market you have to grind to level that piece up which requires gold among other things (not easy)
The one thing i dont understand why are there limited things to farm... like once a week etc... thats so dumb, it pretty much killed Lost Ark too
they time gate you so ppl don't rush end game too quickly
i strongly believe part of what makes an mmorpg great is the acknowledgment of people having better gear and having "usually" spent more time. i think gear being hard to get placed behind bosses and small drop rates is a good idea

I don't agree the drop rates should be small, they should be balanced enough there's a fine line between farming and working for what you want vs spending endless amounts of time grinding to possibly never get what you're after

It’s literally no different than what wow has been doing for years. You can buy wow tokens on the AH and literally buy anything you want.

Combat is terrible, looks like weapons are not balanced at all (specially in PvP), game lack of tools like damage meter, you are more like one of the hundreds plebs who just run around.
So you can't buy the top tier items with real money, but you can buy the items that enable you to clear that top tier content earlier. Leading to getting the top items faster than a non-swiper, leading to making you stronger in PvP, leading to controlling the areas that give buffs to you (and your guild), leading to - you get the jist.
Sorry, but that IS pay to win, through the backdoor, but still.

My only concern is pvp. It looks horrible. I guess they don’t have open world pvp? I want to know who I’m fighting.
PVP is actually fun, there is OPEN world PVP, where you can go to a dungeon, and at night it closes and locks you in with anyone else in that dungeon, and you can just open world pvp. Outside that, there is the SEIGE which happens every 2-3 weeks, that is open world zerg fighting.
Other then that, it's just team based random PVP.

As an Albion player, I am kind of excited for this launch. I predict this game will probably peak around 250-500k players. Idc how much the population will drop after launch im prepared to play this MMO with the 15k other people 6 months later. Its a niche MMO its not for everyone... The only thing I truly hate about this game is the barrier to switch weapon combinations. I think its a terrible design imo
It's actually not too bad, you can just transfer your skill xp, and weapon xp to another weapon.

Game could have been a huge mmo title. For me it seems that It's heavily pay2win as I believe all guilds will require you to have the pre-bis (pre raid best in slot) items in order to go for a raid with them which will require around 250-300$

It's my own opinion, I think it's a fair rating of the game.
90%-95% of players left lost ark, new world and *insert mmorpg name here*, not bcuz its a bad mmo but bcuz its an mmo lifecycle, people come and leave for new content checks etc...
The only exclusion i can bring here is probably wow at the times when it was good, but even in these times i say it kept its playerbase bcuz there was no much competition, and when competition arrived players spent so much time in wow that they hesitate to leave it and try something new for a long time.
Once it will be here we can judge if its really that bad as u say fella.

MMO's do that though. Usually the playerbase is the initial 10% that stick around and everyone else is just extra because they quit 1 month in.
I've played a lot of MMOs and only stuck with about 3, not because they were all bad, but because I was mostly just a tourist coming to see if the game was worth swapping off of my other favorite MMOs. Had some fun, decided they weren't long term for me and continued on. It's normal to have a lot of players like that because there are a lot of MMOs out there. MMO players can only split their attention so many directions, ya know?

Sooo. you say you start same time, you spend money to get early gear without time investment. You can farm stronger monsters, harder bosses before non p2w users AND this is not p2w because that is not endgame gear. Its brilliant logic. :) /s
Those dungeons take a lot of skill to do, its not as easy as you think. I guarantee you will wipe for HOURS trying to do them while learning mechanics. Even maxed Tier 1 full traited pay to winners will wipe, the mechanics are difficult. If you play the game you will see, come back and comment on this once you got some wipes under your belt and let me know if I was correct. :)
@@mimicislivettv I mean if you can buy gear and you start same time than others you will get gear advantage. You can farm better gear faster. (snowball effect). p2w will not be bad after months maybe but its one of the hardest p2w in new servers. And many players want competitive game.

A lot of people don't understand how P2W games can be very different from one another.
If someone who spent $5k is like 5X stronger than the guy who spent $500, then you have a problem (Diablo immortal for example). But if there's a softcap / diminishing return after say a few hundred dollars, then it will be rather healthy as the devs make good money, but also you won't see mega whales walking around wiping the screen.

People need to look past the “p2w” aspect and judge the game as it is because….
Long story short almost every game with any form of competitive pvp/PVE can be p2w the only difference is people breaking TOS or not breaking TOS, the RMT market is booming so when it comes down to it if you don’t pay , you will always at some point go up against someone who does. The only way you can’t p2w is if a game implemented solo self found with no account sharing or trading. Well even then you could buy boosted accounts….
Games awesome , it’s a solid mmo , and even if the publisher didn’t monetize “reputable” “black market “ sites exist. So quit crying about “p2w” because it’s literally everywhere.

Do your research... if you really want to P2W in GW2 you can have a stupidly high geared character within 10 minutes and avoid months of grinding
